Even though I was a new patient the staff was very accommodating. Once I was in the room, he reviewed my scans from my previous doctors and explained to me what he was seeing in the scans. He checked me over and agreed I would be a great candidate for surgery and explained the process and recovery. He assured me I would not leak brain fluid like a previous doctor had mentioned and did not send me off with a 30 day supply of prednisone and antibiotics like my previous doctor had also done. Although I have not had my surgery yet I am very confident in my choice for choosing Dr Browne to give me some much needed relief! Thank yo Update: I had my surgery with Dr Browne in office rather than at a surgery center. It went very well, I had absolutely no pain! Nose bled for a bit the first two days but nothing that kept me from normal things. Toughest part was sleeping up right only because I'm a tummy sleeper. In January 2021 I…read morehad surgery to remove what I've been told is a "fungus ball" from ALL of my sinus cavities, very disgusting.... those pictures would scare anyone straight. I remember at one of my earliest doctor appointments as a child, when I was 8, hearing the doctor telling my mom I needed to be in a sterile environment, with plastic sheets, no curtains, no carpet, nothing that would collect dust, no stuffed toys..... in EVERY picture of me as a child, I am clutching some stuffed, or real, animal, for dear life - a born cuddler. I was traumatized by that doctor visit, breaking down into tears while the doctor described what I later in life thought might have been a "bubble". My Mom didn't do it, thankfully. What she did instead was give me Chlortrimeton every morning, a big heaping green tablespoon full. I could breathe in the mornings, but I was in a stupor, too. My teachers called me a "daydreamer". Then in the afternoons when the "green stuff" wore off, the sneezing began, and tears streamed down my face so hard people thought I left school every day crying. It was ridiculous. After the surgery earlier this year, my surgeon sent me to Dr. Mike. A happy coincidence, one of my friends, a girl I've known and been close with since age 12, has worked for Dr. Mike for something like 30 years. The course of treatment Dr. Mike designed for me is keeping me breathing. I wonder if people who don't suffer from allergies, or who only suffer occasionally, have any reason to realize what a drastic life change it is to breathe freely from your nose - a thing I have never been able to do. There is so much more to my history than I could share in this forum. I can't say enough about the warmth and care of the staff, either. A couple of times, with my overly-sensitive system, I've reacted to treatment. The whole group goes into "fix it mode". Yesterday, Dr. Adrianne took a look at the spreading redness after a shot, and it was easily handled. When she asked me how I was doing overall, I had an "aha" moment, even for me. I can BREATHE. It is so amazing. These are kind, caring, dedicated professionals who are making such a difference for people like me. The issues began from my very first interaction and continued throughout my care. The front desk staff, in particular, consistently came across as rude, dismissive, and condescending. Every interaction felt as though I was an inconvenience rather than a patient seeking medical care. Basic courtesy and professionalism seemed to be in short supply. Beyond the customer service concerns, the office's processes are remarkably disorganized, inefficient, and outdated. There is no patient portal for communication, and orders and results are often handled through handwritten documents and mail. In an era where most medical practices have embraced streamlined digital communication, this office appears stuck decades in the past. My initial treatment experience was mishandled from the start due to incorrectly processed paperwork, resulting in unnecessary trips to the office. For me, that means a 20-mile commute that can take anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. After receiving injections, I experienced a severe adverse reaction. Despite the circumstances, I received no assistance in recovering the money I had paid for medication that was still sitting unused in their refrigerator. Over the course of my treatment, I have undergone extensive testing through this office. Most recently, I was instructed to schedule an appointment simply to pick up a testing kit. I arrived for the appointment only to discover the kit wasn't ready. I had to drive home, return later, and then drive home again--wasting hours of my time. When I finally went to complete the testing, I discovered that critical test tubes were missing from the kit they had provided. Communication has been equally disappointing. I requested a letter explaining my symptoms and medical condition as it relates to eating while traveling. I never received a callback regarding the request. When I finally called to follow up and simply stated my name, I was abruptly told, "She is not writing your letter!" The dismissive and unprofessional nature of that response was shocking. As a fellow healthcare provider, I was appalled by how the request was handled. As a patient, I expected at least a basic level of courtesy and respect. Ironically, while my own concerns often went unanswered, I have spent extended periods sitting in the office listening to staff discuss their personal family frustrations for 20 minutes or more without hesitation. The final straw came when I needed a results booklet that was only slightly larger than a magazine. Despite the significant distance I travel to this office and the fact that mailing it would have been a simple solution, I was told I had to make yet another trip to pick it up. With the amount of time, fuel, and inconvenience this office has already cost me, this felt like one more example of a complete lack of consideration for patients. Healthcare is stressful enough without having to navigate disorganization, poor communication, repeated administrative errors, and discourteous treatment. I am deeply disappointed in the care and service I received and will be taking my healthcare needs elsewhere. I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience.
