Then while I waited to cancel and get out of there I had to wait again while manager was on phone telling customer she was sorry and hoped she found another location but don't go to Mayfair' as she can't say name but don't go there. They offered to reschedule me but also told me I'd have to pay my full appt cost ($85) as a no-show fee either way. I completely understand a business needing to charge a no-show fee. Employees' time is valuable and employees shouldn't suffer for my mistake. However given that I was wanting to reschedule/pay again, and that it was an honest mistake, I asked if there was ANYTHING they could do to help me financially on the no-show fee, to allow their employee to still be paid but to maybe cut me a bit of a break on the no-show fee. $85 is a lot of money, especially to pay it twice to get 1 service. Unfortunately they were completely unwilling to do so. Clearly based on the glowing reviews, the spa is great. But the no-show policy seems to me particularly extreme and rigid based on what other spas charge for no-shows. Again, the missed appointment was my mistake, 100%. But I also know as a business owner myself that there is always a little wiggle room, and I wish they had been more flexible for someone who could have been a regular client.
