I tried this salon a few months ago for extensions and color .. color was terrible extensions were extremely overpriced and did not last the hair thinned out within two weeks when speaking with the owner she admitted she rushed and then charged me to take them out when they weren't even put in correctly there was no communication and when addressed was extremely rude the whole experience was unprofessional and disappointing The fact that your still arguing with me confirms what I just said about you being unprofessional.. I did not bleach the extensions at home lol and I left because you decided to charge when you felt like it when you took the first row out there was no charge and I'm just supposed to know that the next time there's gonna be a charge? So yes I did leave because I'm not gonna pay for a service that wasn't even done correctly in the first place I wouldn't consider that "stealing" They were tangled because you rush them. I had to come back two or three times because it was either popping out or falling out but if you wanna post pictures to try to make yourself look better go ahead Lol alright the money came out of my account so if you feel like you need to file a police report. Go ahead I would be more than happy to show them my bank statements. read more

I've got to say I've had one of my best haircuts here and my very worst. Shannon did an amazing job and I highly highly recommend you get your hair done by her. I don't want to name the person who gave me the worst haircut of my entire life because I don't think it's entirely necessary. And honestly I kind of feel bad for her because I could tell she knew that she messed up. She had to get someone to help her with them. I asked for shorter curtain bangs and showed them the picture of what I wanted which I will add, the second picture is what I left the salon with. You'll be able to tell it's me because you can see the tears in my eyes. I have been home bawling my eyes out for about 4 hours because the bangs I got are so short that there is absolutely nothing I can do about it but wait until they grow out. Safe to say I'm embarrassed to go out in public, and I'm even embarrassed to walk around my own house looking like this. When I look in the mirror I just want to cry. I'll be wearing headbands and beanies until they've finally grown out enough for me to have something that I don't absolutely despise. read more

I went here about a month ago looking to get a beautiful fall hair color. Julianna is very sweet and good at what she does. She also cut my fiancé's hair and it turned out wonderful. However, I sent them a picture of what I wanted via facebook (which is where I must've gone wrong) of a chocolate brown balayage and somehow I came out Carmel blonde. The color was still absolutely gorgeous, just not what I wanted. I didn't say anything (my fault) because at the time I really like what she had done to my hair even if it was unexpected. read more

I cannot imagine stepping foot in another salon after getting my hair done here. I have had my hair done by three different stylists in this salon and each one of them amazes me with their talents. I have done things from all over blonde, to brunette, to a rooty blonde, Ive even gotten extensions here for almost a year. There prices, personality, matched with their experience is something you just cannot get anywhere else. This will be the only salon in Wilmington that I will ever recommend to a friend. There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about Wisp Salon and Spa! Kelly does an amazing job on my hair each and every time! Shelley and Shannon never disappoint when it comes to spray tans, and Gina's facial was fantastic... I was so relaxed and rejuvenated that I didn't want to leave the room! The front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming, I am always greeted with a smile and the offer of cucumber water, coffee, or tea. I have not had a manicure/pedicure yet, but I have heard great things and plan to schedule an appointment very soon! I have been doing my own hair for many years now and this was the first time I have been back to a salon and was excited and hoped I could achieve the hair goals I wanted. However, after showing my stylist a reference picture of what I wanted, my hair came out completely different. When I got home, I contacted my stylist to share with her that my hair was not what I wanted. I was a blonde trying to go to an ashy brunette and my hair came out completely GREY. She offered to switch me back a blonde or brunette, of course with the price tag of $100 an hour for a color correction for a mistake that wasn't my own doing. Rather than let my stylist touch my hair again, I asked for a refund to which the owner declined because my hair "was what I wanted"? If it was what I wanted, why would I be asking for a refund? Not only that, but when going from blonde to brunette it is important to fill the hair before depositing color on top. My stylist didn't even bother to do this, which resulted in my hair being a greenish-grey. One of her co-workers came over while she was drying my hair to tell me she would probably need to go back over my roots (surprise, surprise, because she didn't fill my hair and the previous blonde I had was pulling through the muddy grey). She didn't go back over my roots and even missed a few front pieces with dye and told me to come back if I wanted those touched up. Why would I not want them fixed while I was there, that's what I payed for? Please don't waste your money at this salon, you won't achieve the results you want and can do a much better job on your own. read more
