There are lifeguard stands and plenty of sand to find a comfortable spot. There is also the broadwalk, in which people were walking, roller-blading, and riding their bikes. I had to pay $10 to park, which would be for the whole day or even just an hour. The only thing I think that could have been improved is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Beach bathrooms are never that sparkling clean, but these were smelly and looked like they haven't been looked over all day. So all in all, a great place to enjoy the beach if you can stand the smelly bathroom.

My fiancee volunteered to drive and tag along and when we arrived in the late afternoon, the beach was empty of people but packed with washed up seaweed on the shore. I was a bit hesitant at first but decided to go in since I was there already. It was a horrible idea. When I got out of the water, the water was salty, seaweed all on my hair, and my body itchy from god knows what. I walked a long distance to the building where they had shower stalls and only then I felt somewhat normal. Besides my experience today, this is a nice beach to go to because they also have fishing pier and a nice restaurant. Let me know what you thought of this beach if you ever trying it out!

It was around 10am on Saturday when we stopped by because we were in the area, and we had no idea there would be a cost. From what I could see, it is a nice pier, and you would definitely get some good pictures out there, and of the city. There's a quarterdeck right in front which opens at 11am, it's smaller than most, so I can imagine how packed it must become, especially for its location! I was really bummed about not being able to go onto the pier.

There is no shade on the grounds so much of the time was spent standing in the hot sun. Waiting to get into an airboat was a bit chaotic and tiresome. There were shade canopies along the queue but they were not deployed for some reason. Staff seemed a bit disorganized, groups were confused on where to go and given mixed directions from staff members. The experience on the boat was nice and we saw a variety of wildlife. The captain was knowledgeable and spotted alligators quickly. The gator show was fun but short. The host Paul was funny and engaging, the entire audience was captivated. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Our highlight was getting to hold a baby alligator and knowing that our money was going to one of the only no kill gator rescues!
