Well maintained fishing pier. $4.00 +tax per person for fishing and $2.00+tax per person for sightseeing. Convenient fresh water and non potable water stations & fishing cleaning tables available on the pier. Open 5am- midnight. Great spot for family fun.
It was my first time here, and I was impressed. Very picturesque! The pier was easy and comfortable for me to walk on. It was a busy Sunday there yesterday due to the beautiful weather. There were lots of people fishing also. It was crowded at the end, so we didn't go down there. It looked like they were having a good time, though. The pier is easy to reach from the beach, the parking lot, as well as the Quarterdeck restaurant. The parking lot is huge and full the closer you get to the pier. Further away, you will find parking spots.
Parking isn't the best. In my opinion this wasn't the best local beach. Very crowded, expensive parking ($5 and change), and really dumb tent rule. Apparently beach tents and canopies are only allowed on the far north end of the pier, and only behind the lifeguard stand. This was a pretty small section that was overcrowded. Unfortunately this ruined our beach day, as we didn't have anywhere to set up the shibumi. Would not recommend
Dania Beach has a lot of history attached to it. It was the first city to be incorporated in Broward County. The 974 foot Dania Beach Pier stretching out over the Atlantic Ocean was constructed in 1958. It closed in 1990 after a study found it badly deteriorated and it replaced in 1995. The wooden pier is starting to show its age. Parts are taped off as wood is being replaced. Compared to the brand new state of the art pier in Pompano, this pier is looking dated but it is still beloved by anglers and is one of the most popular places to fish in the city since you don't need a license. It costs $3 to enter the pier if you want to fish and $2 if you are a spectator. Once you are out on the pier there is a nice view of the beach and the cruise ships at Port Everglades off in the distance. This is some pretty inexpensive fun. I think the best part of the pier is the Quarterdeck restaurant. It has my favorite outdoor water front dining high atop the ocean but it is a small area and is extremely limited and difficult to get a spot. Parking for the pier is in the beach parking lot for $3.15 and hour. The pier is an iconic part of Dania Beach and even though it is starting to show its age, it is still worth a stroll.

Beautiful fishing pier. You do have to pay a fee if you want to fish or if you just want to walk into the pier. We weren't fishing, so we paid the $2 + tax to be "spectators". We did watch a guy pull in a Bonita, which was surprising to me. We saw fish jumping. They do have bathrooms, but they were absolutely disgusting. So be warned. And we went first thing in the morning.
I never thought that I would come into a restaurant of absolute loud chaos and then recommend you must go there. But here we are. This place is loud, it is chaotic and the service is slow. But I swear to God Almighty it's worth it. The food is that good. You have a great view outside of The Ocean. The people watching is superb out the window and in the restaurant . The service on the drinks was quite quick. It's just a fast paced restaurant. I went with a group of 12. We had everything this restaurant offered. We had sushi, we had jambalaya, we had wings, we had burgers. The barbecue and hot mix together on wings were quite possibly the best wings I've ever eaten in my entire life and I eat ALOT of wings. The food was so amazing that you overlook the loudness and maybe a straw wrapper on the floor and you just realized that you found something special and you're going to totally ignore every other detail but the excellent food in your mouth.
Visited the Dania Beach Pier. The water was so warm and beautiful I had fun swimming in the beach. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit Dania Beach and have a nice time there just like me and my family did!!
The Dania Beach pier is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week and is just a couple minutes bike riding from Fort Lauderdale beach. Snacks, drinks, tackle and bait are available for sale for all those who love fishing. Lovely views from the pier of the beach where you can walk around, bike or just to enjoy. There is Plenty of parking in the area and great views of the beach. This is somewhere you can relax and enjoy by the beach views!

Was not impressed with this beach at all. Surprised to see the tide so high. I was expecting to see clear blue water in the ocean. Wanted to walk the pier; however, they charge 2 bucks to enter! Had a drink at the restaurant on the pier but left shortly after.
I remember when parking at Dania beach was affordable now it's $5.45 an hour no thank you. your beach isn't that nice for that price. I am so effin tired of greedy people taking advantage of hard working people just trying to enjoy themselves . They Doubled the price of simple parking for no reason. While I make the same amount of money. They think people won't think twice and just pay but guess what b----. I'm not doing it, I don't make extra money to just pay double. I wanted to eat at quarterdeck but I won't pay that much to eat there for parking. I'm never coming back to Dania beach there's other beaches like the Hollywood broad walk. that are nicer and don't charge such a ridiculous hourly price for parking and have more restaurants and bars to enjoy.

Call me slow, but I've been on many piers before, and never had to pay.. At Dania beach there is a fee if you want to walk onto the pier for pictures or just for a leisurely stroll. It was around 10am on Saturday when we stopped by because we were in the area, and we had no idea there would be a cost. From what I could see, it is a nice pier, and you would definitely get some good pictures out there, and of the city. There's a quarterdeck right in front which opens at 11am, it's smaller than most, so I can imagine how packed it must become, especially for its location! I was really bummed about not being able to go onto the pier. read more
The Dania Beach Pier is a magnificent attraction for families and anglers alike. The pier is positioned next to the Quarterdeck restaurant with an access gate and an employee asking for $2.00. Basically, the sights of the ocean are spectacular from any point on the wooden pier but fishing only permitted past the gate. People are seen sitting on the sandy beach gazing onto the pier and ocean with their tripod cameras catching amazing pictures. We actually took pictures of couples at their request. The public parking lot is $5.00 per hour and the attendant is actively hunting for violators so take that into consideration if you are going to avoid the meter. read more

Want to watch the SUNRISE? Look no further than Dania Beach Pier. Parking is available early. Runners, fisher folks, and sunset lovers get there early - and what an amazing way to start your day. The beach was clean, seemed very safe, and the people we chatted with were extremely friendly. Looking forward to our next opportunity. read more
Another pier in Broward County that charges sightseers $2. I don't like it and I won't pay. I'll go up to Pompano Beach! Fishermen (fisherwomen?) pay $3. On the plus side, this is one of the least busy beaches and there is good parking. read more

I really wanted to see this beach since it's always so packed and in the afternoon it's so hard to find a parking space, so this morning at 11 we were there! After I crossed the bridge I was shocked! The water was brown, definitely nasty! Very disappointing! There is not a lot of sand space so everybody is bunched up together and if you are looking for a shower, the only one is on the side of the restroom in a building located not so far from the Pier. It wasn't a good view at all. read more

This is a great pier to go to for fishing or to eat at the Quarterdeck. I have been here for both. The fishing is ok and you can come here late at night however don't forget to pay the parking meters. This pier always has plenty of people fishing so you won't be alone. Also there is a fee if you are fishing or if you came just to look at the water. Now also at the pier is Quaterdeck this is on the end of the pier when you immediately arrive from the parking lot. You can climb the stairs or take the elevator up. Recently the City of Dania Beach is doing construction down below the pier. It looks like they are beautifying it and making the turn around better as this is the far North of the parking lot. This is a smart move since so many people come here to go to the pier. The only other pier I know is North in Pompano Beach. read more
I am a big fan of this pier. It's one of the better piers that are left in South Florida. I know they recently changed there hours from 6:00am to Midnight I believe. This might be a good thing for the wild life but not for the fisherman, but the wildlife is what matters here. I remember coming here when I was younger and catching Huge Mutton Snappers and Mangroves. In addition, Cero Mackerel and even Bonito, Bluefish and King Fish. There still there but not the same quantity, this move will help these numbers increase for future generations. This pier is also on most occasions PACKED with bait. There are times the balls of bait can be seen blocks away coming toward the pier. GRAB the Sabiki no casting nets if you don't the Snook will get to it trust me !!! Since the change I have noticed the benches have been upgraded and so have the trash cans. Water hoses have been upgraded and the pier is cleaner. You also don't have a enormous amount of people overnight camping out on the pier. I didn't mind the overnighters who spent the night fishing and having a beer and cigar. It's the bums that pee'd and left there food all over the place and a mess for others to clean. People on the pier for the most part have respect for each other and there space. The parking is by meter, $1.75 an hour. The fishing is $3.00. If you like surf fishing the beach is good for Pompano as well. read more

Dania Beach Pier in Dania Beach is a really cool pier to walk on on nice day or evening. It is well worth the entrance fee to enjoy the views of the water and the beach. This pier is clean and well maintained. I really enjoyed my time here and had a memorable experience. read more

Parking is good during a week day, if you come on the weekend come early or later in the afternoon. Sometimes cops block it off on Saturday and Sundays. This beach is more family oriented with the occasional skim boarders shredding the baby waves. Quarterdeck is right here, so if it rains or you need a bite that's convenient. I'd come here to relax with a book. When I want to party Fort Lauderdale beach is my choice read more

I go to this pier to fish more then any other in south Florida. Partly due to it being the closest to miami(thanks to hurricanes destroying the ones we had in dade county.) waiting for your return Newport! Ample parking(metered) and great place to spend on the beach. The fishing can be hit or miss but then again it's called fishing and not catching. Bait is great to come by especially in the summer months as it schools up in between the pilings. List of fish I've caught here include mackerel, various snappers, pompano, jacks, snook, tarpon, Bluefish and barracudas. One thing about this pier is that it gets fished hard and sometimes is a bit on the dirty side. The T has the old salts that look at you funny as if you're encroaching on their land lol. But all in all it's a fun time and the sunsets and sunrises are amazing. read more

A little crowded but everyone was respectful and spread out. A fun way to spend an afternoon, they do rent poles here for $10 with a deposit. They sell bait at the entrance and it is $3 to fish. We caught a couple but overall it was pretty slow. Parking is reasonable priced I will try it again. read more
