I brought in 2 pairs of shorts and 3 short sleeved casual shirts to be cleaned and pressed. The bill was $62.40. When I saw this, I immediately called the store and spoke to the "manager." She advised that there were stains on some of the items that had to be cleaned chemically and that, as such, "up-charges" applied. This was NOT communicated when the clothes were dropped off and is absurd! I have used Kean's for several years. I have had mostly good experiences with them. What I like most is dealing with Ms. Robin at the 3535 Perkins Road location at Acadian Thruway. She is kind, professional, respectful, positive, and friendly. She cares about the customers and always has a smile on her face. Robin is the biggest blessing in an ordinary day. I work at Kean's as a manager and I have never worked for a company so horrible in Every way. They make us upcharge for spots(and you better find spots). The "professionals" they have doing the clothes are prisoners in work release because they don't want to pay employees for the hard work they are expected to do. Those guys are pretty much working for free so of course they could care less how the clothes come out. That's why they are having to shut down several locations now. The customers are disgusted on how their clothes are coming back and they cannot keep employees because they are so mean and evil (especially Missy the owner and Cindy the co-owner). Do not work here and definitely don't bring your clothes here, their prices are highest in town and the work they do is horrible by the work release crew. read more

Can you say worst service ever? This place is basically next door to work, and it seemed so busy, I figured I couldn't go wrong. Two of my shirts came back with blue-purple blotches like someone spilled a chemical on them, two came back with brown smudges, and two came back with sleeve buttons missing. I brought a splotch-stained shirt with a missing button back, and they failed to remove the stain or replace the button, although they did leave a tag on the sleeve saying "replace button." My clothes are worse off than if I just left them dirty and kept wearing them. Some of the shirts were pricey Banana Republic items. So what the frick, Kean's? Maybe you shouldn't accept every penny's worth of business if you're going to be so busy that your staff has to rush through the "cleaning" process and destroys clothes in the bargain, or you need to hire more people. I will not be back, regardless. read more

My first time here, traveling from out of town and staying at a hotel down the street. I dropped off a bag of laundry for wash and fold on a Wednesday. The person at the counter told me it would be ready the following day. She didn't indicate that wash and fold was anything out of the ordinary for them. The following day I showed up and the manager helped me. She said, "Oh, wash and fold usually takes three days. Because of the weekend it will be ready Monday." OK, a misunderstanding between the counter people. Minus a star, but not a huge strike in my book. Things are getting a little dicey now because I don't pack enough underwear to have a five day turnaround on laundry. But I gut it out, alternately hand washing my two remaining skivvies until Monday. If anything smells funny, my co-workers are kind enough not to mention it. Then I pick up the bag. I do a lot of wash and fold in a lot of cities so I have a good idea of what it should cost. A bag that would normally be $15 was $24 dollars here. But maybe they did a really awesomely amazing job in all that time for all that money. Ummmm, no. They didn't. Lackadaisical would be a kind description for how the clothes were folded. They were only a half-step removed from just being dumped out of the dryer. Two socks were missing mates and someone else's pair of socks was in the bag. (If you are in Baton Rouge and missing gray low-cut socks with gold chevrons on the toes, I have them. Send me a message.) The CliffsNotes version: When I drop off dry cleaning and am given a receipt that says it will be done at a certain time, I actually expect my dry cleaning then. This location of Kean's did NOT deliver. The whole story: Two days before a business trip, I dropped off several items (both for my trip & other items) to be cleaned & pressed. I was told that they would be ready by 5pm the following day. The next day, I passed by the Kean's a little after 4pm & decided just to check if they were ready. They were not, which was fine, but the associate informed me that my clothes were being "assembled." He said that they would be ready about 1.5hrs later (which was later than the promised time). I expressed a little displeasure at that, but then I departed. I returned at about 6:30pm (over 2hrs after my original arrival & 1.5hrs later than the promised time). My items STILL were not ready. The associate looked around for a while & then confirmed that 2 items (needed for my trip) were not ready & that he thought (but wasn't sure) that they were in the load currently being done. I was infuriated & needed to get those items packed! He ended up not charging me for the 2 items that weren't ready, but it was still beyond inconvenient. With just hours to go before my trip, I was having to come up with entirely new wardrobe options from my very limited back up supply. Additionally, he remembered me from before! If I knew someone was already displeased that their items would be late, I would certainly ensure that the items were ready at least by the time I'd just given. The associate offered to personally drop my items off to my home if they were ready when the load was finished, but when he called, he indicated that 1 of the items was still incomplete & that he did not have the training to finish it. At this point, even if he had been able to deliver the items, the gesture would have been "too little too late" since I'd already had to make other arrangements so I could finish packing. (Thankfully, I did not have to purchase brand new clothing on top of everything else! I was definitely afraid it would come to that.) To boil things down, this Kean's has some serious customer service issues. They need to improve their processes to ensure that they are able to complete items by the time promised. Since I feel like I can't trust them to finish items on time, I won't be back. read more

This review concerns what happened to me at the Bocage location. I have already written a review about how they lost my blue dress shirt. So guess what has now happened. My cousin just passed on 07/15/2020. I had never checked on my suit they supposedly had cleaned. My coat and dress slacks were full of white spots and lint. Remember they cover clothes with plastic covers. So the only way this happened, they never even cleaned them. I got them back dirtier than when I dropped them off. What do I do now, the funeral is in the morning. I'm F....D. Don't bother trying to call headquarters, they never answer. Never do business with any Kean's location. Well, if you get Robin to help you it's like meeting a dry cleaning saint. She can make your day, she's so sweet. However, other employees may take your clothes without even asking what you would like done and then will seem miffed if you have special instructions. So far, cleaning has been adequate. I'm thinking of just poking my head in when I pass by to see Robin but taking my cleaning elsewhere. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I brought a pair of men's pants in for cleaning there on 2/24/14. My husband was wearing them to a job interview out of town. The morning of the interview, we discovered that the zipper was completely off the pants. Needless to say were were not impressed. When I brought them back to the store, they sent them out to be fixed. According to the store, they will be ready 10 days after they were dropped off - I have not seen them yet to confirm they are ready or fixed. I also asked for a refund of the original cleaning service. After all, they broke them. I was told that they would be repaired and cleaned at no expense to me, but I could not have a refund. I will never bring another article of clothing there again. I tried to give them zero stars, but that is not an option, so they get 1. read more

Umm ok first of all employee said they don't do any of the services dry cleaners do, they're just like, renting the place... Was told they would transfer me to the REAL keans that does zipper replacements. What they did in fact was just set the phone down and let me hear them deal with customers for 5 minutes before politely hanging up. When I called back to ask why they did that, they hung up on me immediately after I identified myself as the previous caller. No wonder you have a 1 star yelp rating. read more
