Roasted Turkey with stuffing and cranberry

We really like this place--a classic general store with just what's needed for sale on the shelves, and simple well-prepared food for lunch! The staff was friendly and helpful and the customers varied from tourists like us to workmen on lunch break. Some members of our party had ordered the Turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce and the cook came out to tell us it would be a moment because she had to make more stuffing! It wasn't "artisan" but it was delicious. Fresh soft bread and great Turkey.

Friendly staff, great food. Nothing fancy. We visit here every year and always eat here several times. The crab and lobster rolls are our favorite. They have much more than seafood, but we've just never had anything else. Their macaroni salad and fish hash both are delicious. We highly recommend this place.

This place is a staple in tiny little South Thomaston ME. Not far from where I grew up in Owls Head, the Keag store sits on the beautiful harbor. This is the kind of place you'll find rich tourists who just flew into Owls Head airport on a private jet, sit next to someone's grandpa Joe who is just enjoying a nice crab roll by the window. They've got all the provisions but they also do a great take-out (or sit in!) lunch. Their crab roll and fries is one of the most affordable and freshest around. You can also sit out on the picnic tables on a nice day and enjoy the harbor. This place has been around for ages and will continue to live on with the tradition. We need more places like the Keag store in our lives!

Great food, nice people. Totally worth the trip!

Family run business. I have been coming since my early childhood and brings back fond memories. I always make a point of coming in when I come back.

Sandwiches were okay, just another basic general store in an area with few choices of places to eat.

Great food, reasonably priced, no ambiance here but take a look outside to the Keag River.

We did…read moreeverything thru the app and followed instructions but after ten minutes when we stopped someone to ask them, they had no records of our return. We then went inside and were told there is no one able to do a return at the service desk so it's closed for the night, but we could stand in line where there "is a bit of a wait" to see if a cashier knew how to do a return. No thanks we aren't waiting in line on the of chance one of these people MIGHT knows how to do a return. After twenty years in retail myself, I understand staffing issues and training issues but NEVER have I been in a store this size where there wasn't someone competent enough to complete a basic return. There is evidently enough staff for the Team Lead Jordan and three others to stand at self checkout and chat amongst themselves, and for someone else to sit in the dark in customer service on her phone, and someone else to stand at the door and stare at everyone who walks out, but not enough staff to do a return. Thanks for delivering on my expectations Walmart....Jordan, you have a lot to learn. Good luck.

I tried to pick them up in a huge rush--they asked me my family member's birthday, and I admittedly didn't know it off the top of my head; I said "uhh, maybe... (month) (day). But I'm not sure. I might have make a call." I guessed it wrong of course, and had to make a call to ascertain the birthday. I walked back to the pharmacy about 5 minutes later, and they hatefully sneered at me: "hahaha, ha ha ha ha. Finally got it right this time? heh" Yeah, take a hike.

Rockland Food Service - Common courtesy to not use a phone while cashing out at a business establishment of any kind

First of all I'd like to start with if you are going to write a review, especially a bad review,…read moreone might include all of the context. With that being said, yes the store has those signs up. The first sign "You are not special" it's referring to customers placing their items on the register belt and then continuing to shop like other people may not cash out while they are shopping, taking up belt space for customers who are in fact ready to check out. Rockland Foodservice has carts, baskets, and baskets with wheels for their customers to use instead of the register belt. So no you are not special enough to put your stuff here and inconvenience everyone else. As for the other sign " we will give you attention when you give us yours" refers to customers using cellphones while at the register cashing out. And asks customers not to do it. It's rude. I'm sorry are you talking to the person on the phone or are you talking to the cashier cause I bet the cashier doesn't know either. How it is that in 2024 we are upset with stores or any one asking for respect or at the very least a little common courtesy when interacting with other people out in the wild. I say wild because people are wild these days. Rockland foodservice has the best customer service around when they will take all of your groceries out to your car and load your car for you, they are always available to help and try to find whatever you need if they don't carry it. So in short, if you're going to leave a review (I'm looking at you Dennis F) at least have the common decency and courtesy make sure you include all the context.

Our current balloon at the time was just out date. After trying a few balloons out we settled on a balloon that whole family agreed on. Upon purchase the balloon was filled abundantly with helium. It was also decorated with very high quality decals that were season appropriate at the time of purchase. The leaf decals were multiple colors with high definition in the veins on the leaves. Fifty two days later the balloon has maintained a decent vibe in our living room despite being out of season with decor the balloon possesses. It has outlasted any balloon the family has ever owned and to this day holds an admirable amount of helium still. My boyfriend and myself are extremely satisfied with this purchase. We would return to buy again when we are financially stable to get into a more modern balloon for the family. At a very reasonable price of free for the taking, the rice to quality ratio is outstanding. We would highly recommend Shaw's supermarket to friends and family, when they are looking to get into a new balloon for the house!!! So for all those who are patiently awaiting an update of my beloved balloon. I'm proud to say it's been over 3 months and it may be a bit deflated but it's still floating. Not sure what they put in their helium but it's obviously well worth it!

At this point, I only purchase their digital items sale offerings and double and triple check the price I was charged vs. the correct sales price. Some employees are downright surly!
