FOOD We ordered the pork belly buns, unagi roll, and for desserts: brownie ice cream, fried oreos, and strawberry mochi. The food was decent but underwhelming. Our pork belly was 85-90% fat and was not seasoned well, however, the texture of the bun was on-point. Springy and well cooked. The unagi roll had almost no unagi in it at all. For $19 it is a laughable amount of eel. Their sushi rice was slightly too sweet. Their desserts were just okay as well. I think if they did not drench everything in sauce, it would be much better. My friends and I came here for a late night snack and to celebrate my friend's birthday. We ordered one order of pork belly buns, unagi roll, and some of their desserts. When the food came out, we accidentally received two orders of the pork belly buns. We brought it to our server's attention, and we communicated that there must have been a miscommunication, and we apologized. When Cesar brought it to the attention of the manager, he looked visibly disappointed and upset. They whisper argued back and forth, and we eventually felt so awkward that we told Cesar that it was fine and not to worry about it. Later, when the desserts (strawberry mochi, brownie with ice cream, and fried oreos), we dug in with eagerness. My friend has a nut allergy and spoke up saying that he believes there are nuts in the brownie. While this is something that we should have communicated as well, I do feel like if an establishment does not offer a physical dessert menu, the server should at least ask for allergies. Especially since this is a popular Japanese restaurant where most sauces and ingredients are unknown for the unfamiliar to Japanese cuisine. We asked a couple servers if there were nuts in the brownie, and NO ONE KNEW. Eventually, the manager came and told us that there were. We expressed that my friend has a nut allergy, and we got a soft apology and that was it. When the bill came, both the pork belly buns and brownie were still on out bill. No apology or anything was issued. We still tipped ~20% tip because we knew that the server was really not at fault. I gave this place two stars because it was not all bad. The server was nice, sweet, and polite. He definitely could have been, "Oh great. Last guests of the night." But he didn't. That it has Yuzu Soy sauce, which is quite cirtus-y, its not my favorite, it is an interesting flavor though. BUT if you like this kind of vibe then by all means go for it. We ordered the Ke-Uh Salad & Spicy Honey Shrimp as appetizers and the Honey, Popper, Bea, and Coconut Roll as our entrees. We were a group of 3 so we shared everything and the portions were perfect. We decided to dine in and I felt so safe throughout the whole visit. Without hesitation a 5-Star review for this spot. The place has a nice modern feel with moss panels long the wall and an open kitchen. The place definitively get lots of traffic so for parties over 4 I would call ahead and make a reservation. Start The Evening: To me a Miso soup is a must anytime I go to a Japanese restaurant, in this case I loved the presentation bowl. We added to our order a side of fried rice, which has this taste or grill somehow which I found it to be a delicious surprise. The Crispy Brussels are a MUST paired with orange pieces and balsamic, you are in for a treat. Easily the best Brussels sprouts in Broward County (or Weston at least). We added the Pork Gyozas as well. These come with a ginger sauce with a very refreshing hint of citrus. The appetizers menu alone is enough to get you a full belly and a very satisfied pallet. But we went for two main entrees because momma didn't raise no quitter. We got the Chirashi and the Honey Roll, both delicious but if you enjoy a kick then the Chrirasi is the way to do. This roll comes with its own sauce and what a great thing that is. After enjoying these culinary delights one cant formulate a decent argument to not order desert, so by all means go for the Nutella Spring Rolls. Yea, NUTELLA and Rolls on the same name. This place is more like a restaurant in Wynwood than in the middle of the suburbs. Modern, chic interior, open kitchen where you can see the assembly line, impeccable, creative food, and friendly service. It actually reminds me of Kyu in Wynwood with a smaller menu. There are a bunch of sushi places in Weston but not really any Japanese Tapas places. I love small plates as you can order a bunch of stuff and try everything. First came out the shishito peppers and the brussel sprouts. The peppers were awesome but OMFG the brussels! Definitely a repeat dish. Next came the veggie gyosas and grilled octopus. I liked them both, the dumplings seemed to be pretty fresh and doughy. The octopus was cooked nicely and we enjoyed it although we've had better. Finally we ended with the Cobia lettuce wraps which were a nice alternative to avoid the rice in sushi & rolls. These were delicious but nice and light. Great if you do not want to stuff yourself. The wine selection wasn't too big but they were pretty cool and let us order a bottle off the by the glass list. Besides the amazing food I absolutely love the ambiance here. But we both love Ke-uH.Every time we come food and service is outstanding. We have our go-to's but we also like to try something new and it always amazes. Today we started with the Tuna Tataki and Grilled Corn. It was the most fresh, melt in your mouth tuna. My husband isn't even a huge fan of tuna but he ate half the plate. Grilled corn is cheesy with small spicy kick, never dissapoints. We ordered the katana, popper and passion roll to share and the salmon nigiri for me. All were delicious and fresh but the show stopper was the popper roll. Wow. Crispy shrimp, cream cheese, asparagus topped with spicy mayo, parm, shaved jalapeño and finished with eel sauce.
