When I spoke with Cathy on the phone her creativity and enthusiasm was apparent. I shared that the theme for our party was the Blues Brothers and that I had a matchbox car, a replica of the Bluesmobile from the movie, to use as the cake topper. Her ideas to expand on this theme were spot on! We arranged for the cake to be delivered to our hotel on the day of the party which was very convenient. It had white chocolate chips in there and wasn't bad. As far as the cupcakes, I tried the strawberry cupcake, the Oreo, cupcake, and another pastry. Unfortunately, for me, they were a miss. The flier states hunting after dark and strategic skills. We hunted eggs throw casually in a field and it wasn't close to dark out yet. We also were told the hunt would begin at 7:30 and it was completely over at 7:28. Our group of 3 collected 60+ eggs, much more then many groups as we egg hunt at various events every year. In those eggs was candy being devoured by ants, and a couple condoms. I've been to free events with more value. There were a few eggs that had lotto tickets and prizes but I seen nothing that qualified the entry price. There was also very little food options for the 2-3 hundred people that were there. Two food stalls bared qualifies the "food trucks" advertised. Many groups were very upset and I hope this event business goes back to cakes (which look lovely) and stays out of the event business.

I contacted them and spoke with the owner Leia directly. Not only did she answer every question I may had, she exceeded all expectations and more. There were a few options that were in mind and finally narrowed it down to one 6" round cake with 24 cupcakes. I showed her pictures what I was aiming for and she recommended flavors that went well together when I was having a hard time picking just one. Let me tell you that the flavor choices are plentiful as found on the website and I was trusting her to do the best since I wasn't going to be in the area before hand to taste samples of each flavor that was available. The 6" cake had an almond flavor with buttercream frosting and half of the cupcakes had vanilla flavor with raspberry frosting and the other half had marble flavor with cookies and cream frosting. Leia delivered and set everything up. It was presented beautifully on the cake stand that was included and she even helped with some of the decorating of the shower. It was such a nice gesture to help without asking! There's a Yelp check-in offer of 20% off a purchase on the site that she said that wasn't valid for over a year and she still honored it on the purchase for me when I mentioned it. I'm still in awe of how the cake turned out and everyone complimented on how amazing the cake and cupcakes looked and tasted. The mom-to-be was in heaven over it and it was deliciously perfect!
