Karim (we call him K-Man) runs a first rate shop, KDS Automotive. He and his staff are always responsive and patient with all my questions/concerns. They are very flexible with dropping off or picking up your vehicle to fit your schedule. He always shows you the old/broken part that has been replaced and explains everything he did. Great guys. End of story. I'm from New Jersey I was in the area for work when my van started making a really bad knocking noise. I stopped here at 530pm expecting the worst but, KDS saved the day. Two nuts had come off my tire and had I driven home the tire probably would've came off on the highway! Before a road trip, I was having issues getting car seats aligned because the headrests in my backseat were stuck. The Toyota dealer told us repairing our minivan, automatic door would be 3K and they couldn't get the door unstuck, so they would just replace the whole thing. My husband googled how to get it open. He got the door opened, but then it was stuck in the open position. We called KDS and got an appointment. $600 later, we have a completely fixed, working, automatic door! I would like to let everyone know about KDS Automotive in Valley Forge, PA. My story started when I needed an oil change and wanted to get the job done during my lunch break. I did a Google search and KDS Automotive appeared in my search results. It was nearby my office and had a good Google User rating. I called up KDS and the Karim the owner answered the phone. He was friendly, had good prices, and quickly scheduled an appointment for me. While waiting for the job to complete, a mechanic started to drive my car from where it was parked to one of the open garage bays. As he backed up the car, another customer did not see him backing up and drove her SUV directly behind my car. The mechanic immediately braked my car but could not stop in time and bumped into her car. The SUV did not have any damage and my car only had a few small dings in the bumper. I spoke to Karim and he told me he would fix it. I told him my car was old and had several other dings in the bumper and suggested that I would be OK if the mechanic would use my touch up paint to cover minor paint damage. Karim asked if I was sure and I told him fixing the minor damage with touch up paint would work for me. I dropped of my car this past week and gave Karim the touch up paint. He told me he would take care of it and call me when it was fixed. When I returned to pick up my car, I immediately noticed the entire rear bumper was repaired and looked as good as new. Karim told me he decided to get the job done right and took my car to an auto body repair shop to have bumper repaired. This was the best customer service experience I've had by far - not only was Karim friendly but he went out of his way to fix my issue. I'm always suspicious about a new mechanic. I got a bad break job somewhere else and decided to take my car here for convenience because it's close to where I live. This is the best place I've ever taken a car. I couldn't recommend it more. They are honest and I've never had a repeat problem. After an unfortunate encounter with a speed bump in the Valley Forge Park, I came back to my car and saw the engine oil leaking out. The Park Rangers directed me to KDS Automotive close by. I arrived just as they were closing up shop for the day. My worst fear was not of the auto repair but of getting ripped off by an unscrupulous mechanic in unfamiliar territory. Not only did Karim know immediately that I had punctured the oil pan but his shop was immaculate and he was kind and helpful in my moment of distress. He called me first thing the next morning to confirm his diagnosis and my car was ready by mid afternoon. He took pictures to show me the completed repair and showed me the damaged parts. Best place out there. This is a mechanic you can really trust. I've gotten my car inspected and work done here for the past 6 years, and they've always been helpful and honest. Dropped my car off for inspection the night before, they called me at 10 am to let me know it was done. I even had windshield wipers sitting in my back seat that I had intended on putting on myself, and they did it for me.
