3/23/2023 I miss watching KCRA ..since moving.. but when I'm in town, it will always be my first choice.. They were the first news station to report the accident I witnessed on Thursday. Drivers coming down the hill at ridiculous speeds and wet conditions!.. Me being particular and more cautious, because I have my furrbabies in the car!.. I wish they would update on the accident .. Saw the EMT performing vital checks on the driver -he was actually slouched over the airbag.. (hope he's okay), his vehicle ripped apart.. You'd think after seeing this, traffic would be driving slower.. nope they continued above the speed limits! Just thankful we made it safely to and from. read more

September 23, 2025 - Updating my KCRA Review: Was contacted by the Assistant to the General Manager at KCRA News by email. The Assistant to the General Manager was able to get the Weather dept. to include in the Weather Forecast at 7:00 p.m. the Weather Forecast for Roseville for the next day. However KCRA still is not showing the Weather for the Current Day. The reason I was given is: "the weather in Roseville is not significantly different from Sacramento." However I still think because Roseville is the second largest city in Population that Roseville deserves to be shown on the Evening Weather Report for the current day actual temperature. As a result I have increased KCRA Weather dept Yelp Review to: 4 stars compared to my original 1 star Review. read more

I'm turning KCRA off for good and deleting my app. I begrudgingly put up with their political lean for local news and weather, but it's gone too far. When KCRA recommended calling the Rapid Response Network if someone witnesses immigration enforcement, I was absolutely outraged. News should be fact-based and informative, with no agenda attached. hello as a KCRA3 viewer, I am disappointed with the hiring of News reporters all races of man and women are represented, Latinos, Asians, white women and man, and black men reporters, but there is no representation of black Americans news women on this news station, no one look like me as a black women? KCRA 3 ask to send picture of the Armed Forces. However, they only showed pictures of 2 service women. All the other pictures of the veterans were men and mostly those of their friends, family members and employees. They totally undermined the women who served in the military. read more

When these "reporters" get the chance to report on things like murders, shootings, car chases, or anything that would otherwise be considered more than your usual occurrence, they can't resist being redundant, repetitive and an absolute laugh when they have an opportunity to interview a neighbor, a police chief, CHP etc. "Do you know the make and model of the car the suspect was driving"? "Do you know if he was separated from his wife"? "Do you know if he likes to drive fast when under pressure"? "Do you know if he was a American-Mexican, who spends most of his vacations in Mexico"? "Do you know how many pets he has"? "Was the glove compartment in his SUV organized"? The questions are ridiculous and it just goes to show how completely unprofessional they are. I have been a viewer of KCRA news for many years. I am so shocked and disappointed by one of your most prominent anchors very unsubtle facial expressions and body language every time there is a story regarding Gavin Newsom. Her clear bias against him is unsettling, to say the least. As a reporter was interviewing him regarding redistricting Lisa Gonzales clearly gets a disgusted look on her face, and shakes her head to show her unsubtle disapproval. This is the third or fourth time I have seen her bias. She does not try to hide it. While we are living in unprecedented times, journalistic integrity is beyond important. I will no longer watch the network due to Lisa Gonzales and her offensive inability and choice to share her unsubtle opinion. It's sad. I have tried to contact the news organization directly, but get no response. It's so sad to see even the local news show their opinion instead of simply delivering the news. read more

I think I've given up on this station. Where's the news? They give themselves these "we'll be right back after this break" Like 2 minutes! Twice every half hour. Then they have those dumb ass ads on the website about people who sleep in this position live longer to lure people away so they can have another break. Then the local video show channel gets so much coverage so they can have more break time. Now there's so much reference to a local channel in Kansas city? We just moved back to Northern California a few months ago. We generally watch KCRA 3 in the morning. I'm disappointed they are willing to make sure Trump receives negative airtime but they very seldom ever broadcast negative news regarding Biden or his family. After emailing the KCRA News Team for mistakes, they don't seem to respond OR make the corrections. Examples within the past year: 1. "...shooting in FREEMONT..." 2. One of Edie Lambert's many mistakes - a robbery by Uber/Lyft driver: "...she was able to escape by running into a local 9/11." 3. On a KCRA app: "...shooting incident at ORGAN HOUSE..." Why all the hate? Sure there are some anchors, weather people and reporters that are better than others but overall KCRA is doing fine. The only thing that drives me crazy is misspelling on the screen that shows lack of editing by knowledge folks. Sure there are some unprofessional outfits but maybe the anchors don't get wardrobe allowances or the station is afraid to say anything since things are so politically charged. The mistakes on camera are few and many people have an off day once in awhile. Love how former weather person Eileen Javora fills in for the station for Tamara Berg and the others during long absences. Working on the chemistry of the anchors on every time slot should be a focus. Everyone at KCRA don't let the negativity get you down read more

Thank you so much for the excellent documentary about the CA EDD Fraud. It's about time someone is talking about this horrible crime. I hope they catch those criminals and I hope the EDD is held responsible and they clean house and start over. A stellar news cast, excellent investigative reporting and the fastest breaking news alerts. KCRA 3 remains the class of Sacramento news reporting. I now reside in Orange County/Los Angeles where glitz and glamor seem to take precedence and stir up ratings, and only good looking people seem to get hired. Nice to know that talent and respected journalism is never compromised with KCRA And the viewers seem to agree. KCRA still dominate the news ratings in Sacramento. While on vacation to see family here, I always tune into KCRA news. Many familiar faces, aside from Edie Lambert and Walt Gray, are gone. The news teams now includes former FOX40 News anchor and well respected investigative reporter, Donna Cordova and former Colorado's FOX 21 News anchor and general assignment reporter Danielle Leigh. They are two of the many great additions to the new team. I noticed the first commercial break came after 20 minutes! One of my biggest frustrations with watching news in the Southland is the number of commercial breaks. I hope they can follow KCRA's example of excellent news coverage, limited commercial breaks and unparalleled, award winning broadcast journalism that is the standard in Northern California! read more
