I have been to KC tint works in the past to have our car windows tinted. We also had our sons car windows tinted here and a decal stripe put on. They are great, Someone broke in my sons car awhile back and the decal got scratched, they fixed it perfectly. More recently I had them install a car alarm in my Jeep Wrangler. They know their stuff and give you lots of options and explain the difference between all of them. They were great and got me exactly what I wanted and it was done in just a couple hours. They also was able to add heated seats, I do love my heated seats. They installed everything in a very professional manner and took me out to my car and showed me how everything worked so I would know exactly and not set it off accidently. KC Tint works installed an auto start on my car arranged by the dealer that I bought it from. Fast forward almost 4 years later the key fobs fell apart and were no longer working. I went into their location and they told me that they had been discontinued but if I could find one online that they could program it for me. I found 2 new fobs online in Canada and schedule the install appointment fully expecting to pay for them to program the new fobs...when they were done they told me that there was no charge and that they stand behind their work. I took my 2013 Corvette to KC Tint-Works to have the passenger door window tinted. I had only recently bought the car, which came with tinted windows, except for that one which wasn't - for some unknown reason. When they were done, I made the mistake of not inspecting the job closely. I could see the tint matched the other side so I got in the car and proceeded to drive home. It was afternoon rush hour so I didn't pay much attention to the window until I got into my driveway and shut the car off. That's when I noticed what could only be described as a grayish-milky-colored waterfall-shaped substance that had run down the full length of the interior door panel upholstery and dried. It had run down onto the arm rest and across the inside door handle and switches. It had entered the speaker grill and dripped off the bottom of the door onto the door sill. I opened the door from the outside and saw that this milky substance had been splashed on the right side of the dash, the entire door jamb and door frame, and on the right side of the seat, and carpet. And, incredibly, it had been splashed all over the EXTERIOR of the car too, including the entire door, mirror and mirror glass, body and front fender from the front of the rear wheel to the back of the front wheel, and even the right side of the hood and windshield, including the A-pillar, and right side of the roof! I used Meguiare's Interior Detailer Cleaner and Meguiare's Mist & Wipe exterior detailer to clean up the car. But it wasn't easy. I had to scrub and continuously re-wet with the cleaners. Whatever that milky substance was, it resisted returning to a liquid. I spent at least two hours cleaning up the mess they'd made. I can't understand why they would want to do that to my car. I was on time for my appointment, and gladly paid their asking price for the job, and never bothered anyone. So, here's a question for you: If they'll slop up a shiny candy red Corvette doing only one door window, how do you think they'll treat YOUR car? read more

I'm very surprised this has not been reviewed yet. I had a 2013 Ford escape that I had a remote start installed. I was extremely happy with the price, the timeframe, and the service I received. I recently just bought a new Dodge ram and had them do some stereo work. There was a problem with the stereo that could've been operator error. I contacted the business and they said bring it in and they took care of the problem. Like I said it could've been operator error, but either way they took care of it for me. Very pleased with this business and I hope to give them future business. read more

I bought a 2009 F150 super cab with no backup camera or Bluetooth capabilities. I took it to KC Tint works and they installed everything for a decent price. Later on I had my heater core replaced at another shop and that shop somehow messed up my backup camera connection. I called KC Tint and they fixed my truck at no additional cost. I have since sold that truck and bought a 2015 F150, it's going to them for work soon as well. read more

Happy with my experience. Cheapest price I found by 40 dollars and I didn't have to haggle. But that doesn't reflect the quality. Great results, friendly staff, very cool shop and only took an hour. Life time warranty as well. read more

Customer Service Terrible , Employees rude at best. Decided to take my business elsewhere. Wanted to do business with someone north of river, had used Midwest Tinting in Shawnee KS on two other cars with no probs. Will go back to Midwest tinting. Even though i had a very standard car KC Tint Works demanded I take car in to have them look at it before they would even get it on the schedule , which involves two trips. Back to Midwest Tint in Shawnee who does it seamlessly the first time (Little further drive, but not rude) I seriously can't believe these guys stay in business with their terrible customer service skills. This place needs to be a reality show on TV with the likes of Gas Monkey Garage! The place has a huge restaurant and bar...great food while you wait (get a burger and a beer while you wait...it's AWESOME!), and then there's the top notch professional tinting for any vehicle...and at the best price in town! Since John does not have a website for his Tint business, and he told me he is the sole tint person for this shop, I guess this is where I'll review his work. He scratched my high end SUV with the large buttons on his fancy pants and did nothing about it. He left in the middle of tinting my vehicle because of this. He is just a boy, barely looks of age to drive, let alone have enough experience to be doing this. Do your research before getting your vehicle tint done. Having someone come mobile to your home sounds convenient, but in the end was just a bad choice on my part. read more

I used to think the world of KC Tint works, I have sent many friends to them for Tint and Remote starts over the years since I had my tint done there in the past with excellent service. I recently discovered that BUYER BEWARE of the so called "Lifetime Warranty" on the tint. The service guy had no problem honering the warranty. I took car in for the appointment and the owner ERIC MARTIN was there and was not happy that I was there to get tint replaced. I was accused of lying about the shade of tint on the windows. I had 20% on the car Eric told me I had 35% and mentioned that if I wanted to go darker then he wanted an upcharge. All I was trying to do was get my tint that had failed--Replaced under ERIC'S "Lifetime Warranty". I even had the receipt and it didn't matter to Eric. He complained that "He did WAY more Warranty work than he should". Eric even referenced a shop down the street would tell you to F**k yourself after 1 year. It went on for so long that I actually started to feel as if "I" was in the wrong for being there. Eric went ahead and replaced my tint with ATTITUDE. And then the nice service man before???? Now had ATTITUDE with me as well and basically ignored me when I went to pick up my keys. Offering to help other customers ahead of me while I was CLEARLY standing there waiting. If you want to feel belittled for "Warranty" work by the OWNER ERIC MARTIN, feel free to take your business there. I will be going elsewhere in the future. read more
