They explained that the wrong non-Toyota clamps had been used and were overtightened (My oversight). They needed to keep my car overnight (huge inconvienence) because they didn't have a hose in stock (Really?) They then installed a new hose for $133 and performed a coolant flush for $179. There was an unexplained coolant conditioner fee of $39. Then after paying $475, I went out to check the car and they had installed the new hose with the non-Toyota universal clamps! Apparently, the service writer didn't know that clamps had to be ordered separately. I am beyond frustrated with lack of communication between the service writer and the techs and for the excessive costs for minor service. All would have been OK if they had done the repair correctly, now I have to bring it back another time, or take it somewhere else to be fixed correctly. Bottom line, if you're not in warranty, find another place to take your car.

My first issue with this company was when they told me I needed a $3,000 fix on my car that was…read morecompletely solved by changing my air filter when I went for an oil change. It left me extremely suspicious of their expertise, but after having work done on my tie rods, I took the car to them for a simple balance and rotation. It wasn't until AFTER they had completed the job that they called me and said I would need brand new tires if I wanted to pass inspection, so I had to buy brand new tires. Instead of giving me the chance to get new tires and THEN perform the balance and rotation, they did the job anyway so I had to pay for the job to be done twice in the same week. Then after being promised I'd pass inspection because of the new tires, they failed me on inspection anyway, forced me to have more work done on my car, then failed it again. I called the garage that did the repairs they told me had to be done and they said they did the work up to state standards and there is absolutely no reason my car would fail. He actually recommended I get a sheriff involved because I was being robbed. I will never trust them again. if you want to waste money on your car, take it to Dulins because they will make sure your money is wasted.

After having my car almost 2 weeks, I stopped to see what what's up. The owner verbally attacked me in front of everyone. I was polite and just asked a question. I left and my car was done in an hour. Except the battery wasn't harnessed down. The master cylinder needs replaced as my brakes still go to floor. Never again. The 'mechanic' is a hack. I could see the sharks inside - eyeing me up. They were just waiting for me to stop so they could attack. I left. Cruising down Lancaster Avenue I saw John's Great Cars. I have heard their radio ads for a long time and drove onto the lot. Salesman Jim was in the lot and smiled and waved. He didn't rush us as most dealers do. He came over and asked what I was looking for and pointed our two options. I immediately loved the one. I asked for the lowest price and what they offered was fair and a great deal. Everyone in the process was laid back, honest and amazing. They couldn't have been nicer. John was outside washing cars. While the owner of a used car lot in Reading isn't on the same social strata as a king or president of a country it was nice to see that the owner was humble and a working man. We will 100% return here for a future car. Without a doubt. PS: After getting home we noticed a TINY nick in the windshield. Let me preface by telling you we previously went to two other local Kia dealers in a fifty mile…read moreradius. The first, in the Lehigh valley was a terrible experience. They, apparently were having a promotion (one of those "you won a free big screen TV" postcard mailings ) and it was pretty chaotic. We were shown a handful of cars on the lot and then rushed into the cubicle to provide information for financing when we hadn't even settled on a vehicle, let alone a price! The second dealership, shiny and new in luzerne county was pleasant and very calming. The salesperson was very patient with my questions and kind. However, they took my trade for a drive and evaluated it but was stalling on proposing an offer. This turned me off. We need to know what the dealer is willing to pay for our vehicle to ensure we are able to get into a payment we can afford. The third dealership, the best dealership, was Outten Kia. As soon as I walked in, I was already stressed from previous experiences and not in the mood to get the run around or take any crap. Cue Adam to enter scene. What an all around fantastic guy. He immediately put me at ease and allowed me to step back and give him some information. He asked if we were looking for new or used and what we would like to have in our next vehicle. Once we discussed our wish list, Adam told us what he had on the lot that could fit our requests. We ended up with the vehicle we had hoped for at a fair price, keeping our payments comfortable enough that we won't have to worry about the repo man We only wish we hadnt wasted two full days of car shopping and had just gone to Outten Kia first. Please heed my advice, go see Adam, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Adam!
