I am so disappointed by Barry's quality of work and professionalism. We requested Barry take out…read moreour tub from the master bathroom, and replace with a tile shower with sliding glass door. Save your money and stress, go anywhere else. Summary: - Unable to get in contact with Barry by email or phone multiple times - Didn't communicate what he needed from us until he arrived on site - Doesn't have any sort of pricing structure; makes up pricing on the spot - Quality of work is terrible; grout starting to crack after 1 week (didn't even turn on shower in this time) - Barry broke our glass door for shower that WE paid for, and then told us he "didn't have time to install our glass door", though he agreed to install in person. - Took 6 weeks for him to pay back for the glass door; had to follow up 7 times via email or phone Details: We contacted Barry at the end of July and requested a quote for our shower. He was responsive, and was able to come in right away and provide a quote shorty after. While he was at our house, we discussed the materials he'd cover vs what we'd need to buy (tile, shower door, fixtures). I even confirmed it again via email. When he sent the contract over, I had a few areas I wanted to change and sent him redlines. I didn't hear from him after following up via email twice, and he randomly called me one morning asking if he could come over to discuss. He's lucky I work from home and have this flexibility, because his approach was not customer friendly. After the contract was signed mid August, it was dead silence on his end. I reached out to him on Thurs 10/3, knowing the weekend was approaching and we were starting the project on Tues 10/8. He called back, asking if we could start on Monday instead. Sure, but if I didn't reach out, would he have even asked? He said this would mean they'd finish earlier than projected, since they're starting a day early. On Mon 10/7, they arrived on time. When we start talking, Barry says we didn't get the right size tiles for the shower floor (he never clarified to us what we needed), we didn't get enough tiles for the walls, and he also doesn't provide a tile edge trim so we'd need to go buy it. And that he'd need all of this by tomorrow morning. Terrible communication on his end. So, we change our evening plans and go out to buy all his materials, fuming that we were doing this so last minute. The next day, they noticed our plumbing wasn't ideal for a tile shower. They talked to me about repair, which they quoted additional $ for. He said I could either pay him to do it now, or I could find someone else to do it and they'd delay the project. Obviously I didn't want to delay this further as we'd already waited 2 months, so who knows if their quoted $ for plumbing was legitimate or not. Throughout the week, they came and left when they wanted to. I don't expect them to stay the full work day, but as we got towards the end of the project timeline, they were no where close to done. They asked to extend the project twice, and a 5 day project became a 8 day project. The extra plumbing only took an extra 3 hrs, so unclear how we became so delayed. I was upfront with them that I purposely cleared out my schedule for this project, and they were not respectful of my time. When it was time to build the recessed niche, I used my shampoo bottle to demonstrate what I wanted in terms of height. When the finished the niche, my shampoo bottle didn't fit. When we asked Barry if he could install the shower door, he accepted. I walked away to continue working, and heard a massive shatter. I had a bad feeling it was the glass door. Barry broke the door, and didn't appear to have any kind of remorse. I immediately called the website I purchased the door from, and they were able to send a replacement same day. When I contacted Barry to give him an update on timeline, he told me he "didn't have time to install the shower". I had to then contact him SEVEN times over the next 6 weeks to receive a check for breaking the glass. Will be looking elsewhere for remodeling in the future.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made the horrible mistake hiring Barry and his nonexistent crew…read more He is plum terrible with his customer service as well as his craftsmanship. We hired him to do 2 bathrooms and both are terrible. He charged me $ to do a whole bathroom but when i was upset about him not showing up nor calling me he didn't finish the bathroom. He then tells me that it wasn't in the contract. I should have known he and his contract was a scam. His contract states after he does some work he gets paid a certain percentage and if not he will not show up. Also my thought is he was not in his right mind when showed up at times. He was telling me how he was on drugs and he had to go to court for some things he didn't do. I wish I knew the law like I do now. I would have fired him!!!! Lastly I asked for a permit and he kept telling he was getting it and then he told us he didn't need one with the type of work he was doing. We didn't know any better. But best believe we do now!!!
