My son had his introductory flight in September of 2020. Two years and $14k later he still does…read morenot have his private pilots license. They are not invested in their students and their progress. Instructors are there just to build their own hours. There are frequent issues with planes being unavailable due to maintenance. When I complained a year ago they talked a good game but nothing really happened. They just kept taking our money without any real progress towards the private pilots license. We are taking our business elsewhere!

I failed my checkride and the DPE was EXTREMELY rude and I didn't get a chance for a retake due to weather and other factors. "Hi how are you"? I said. "You tell me" What's the reason to be so rude? I never flew in the snow before dude. I can't recommend this place. Be more professional. They don't care about students here. I want a refund!!

I was searching for a place to do my multi-engine commercial add on and am so glad I received a…read morerecommendation to check out ATD. I am from California, so I wanted to get the multi-add on done quickly, efficiently, and with a flight school that wasn't going to nickle and dime me (multi-engine is expensive enough already!) I inquired at various flight schools and ATD was the only one to give me a call back within 24 hrs, definitively tell me how much it would cost, what was included, and what to expect. We were able to set up a 7 day training timeline/syllabus, with checkride on day 7. ATD was able to accomodate this no problem, and trained me very well. Checkride was no problem at all. True professionalism and quality are sometimes hard to find, but ATD was fantastic. My MEI Jim was great - efficient, helpful, calm, and incredibly hospitable since I was from out of town. The aircraft are well maintained, reasonably priced, and the school itself is run very well. The folks that run the day to day are super helpful and nice. Everyone was very welcoming and easy to get along with. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I will probably be back here to do my MEI later. Can't recommend these great folks enough (for multi or any other training!)

Signature always offers a certain level of service and this place doesn't disappoint. The gals at the desk were very professional and entertaining as my co-worker and I sat in the lounge for pretty much all day. They proffered directions and wheels when it came time for lunch and definitely went above and beyond by making us feel welcomed.

What a lack of corporate leadership!! What kind of corporate leadership would allow such a blemish on thier reputation? Would never support a company that has heartlessly prevented airplane enthusiasts from all over the world from visiting this awesome museum! They have locked us out of viewing historic aircraft!! What kind of corporate neighbor would do such a thing?? You'd think they would want to give back to a community not take away. What have they gained??? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff there is fantastic, friendly, helpful, and very customer service oriented. They have been willing to jump in and help with anything I needed at every turn. They really go above and beyond for their students! Jeremy, one of the partners at Summit Flight Academy helped arrange a different plane for me to practice and take my test in after the plane I had been training in had to be taken out of service for maintenance. Something he went the extra mile for me on. He literally saved the day for me when I was about to panic thinking my plane wouldn't be available for my test. Jami, the person that handles the day to day function of the office, has to be one of the kindest, most helpful people I've ever had the privilege of meeting. If you look up customer service on Google, her picture should be the first result listed. Any time I called, any question I asked, any help I needed with scheduling, any help I needed period, she has been right there ready to solve the problem for me. I've done my flight training with Katia. She is fantastic as a flight instructor! Don't let her being young fool you. She has a genuine love of flying and her patience and personality create the perfect temperament that make her a great teacher. She has a feel for the plane when she flies that is absolutely amazing to me. She has exceeded every expectation I had from the first day that I met her. Her enthusiasm, knowledge, and skill definitely shine when she is flying with her students. I've also become friends with a couple of Katia's other students that have been flying with her at the same time I am, and her other students share the same insight. It's really amazing how her love and excitement for flying rubs off on you as you are learning to fly with her. In preparation for my test with the FAA examiner, I also flew with Shane. He is another shining example of what you want in a flight instructor! He's calm, very laid back, fantastic personality, extremely knowledgeable with everything flying, eager to teach and see you succeed, and willing to help with anything you need to succeed, at any time. He's a fantastic pilot and instructor. Hillary is another instructor at Summit Flight Academy that I really appreciate. Like Shane, I was planning to fly with Hillary as a mock checkup right before my test day. I've met and talked with Hillary multiple times and she has helped me out in the office on more than one occasion. She is really sharp, extremely helpful, very friendly, and very pleasant to work with. I'm really disappointed that our schedule didn't work out for me to take that last mock evaluation flight with her before my test. I can honestly say that I 100% recommend each of the instructors I have met at Summit Flight Academy, without any reservation or hesitation. And I should know. In the 37 years, 3 months, and 18 days since I took my first discovery flight in college, I have flown with 6 different instructors. Katia, Shane, and Hillary at Summit Flight Academy made my flight training experience the best I could have ever hoped for. It just so happened that my New Year's resolution this past year was to go back and finish getting my license. A lifelong dream which the staff at Summit Flight Academy helped me accomplish! The best flight school around! Obtained my Private Pilots License in November and passed first try…read morethanks to the amazing team at SFA. I have flown all of the planes other than their newest warrior and will have to say N6894W ("Miss Whiskey") was an overall favorite. The planes are all hangared making it easy to fly in the winter and the instructors are the best around making sure they are focused on getting you check ride ready. Thanks for all the help Summit!
