Wow. Just wow. So impressed with Baker's!…read more Here's the scoop: we needed our Yukon diagnosed. It had mystery issues. We have an extended warranty through the Ford dealer where we bought it used. (Very worth it, btw! The Ford warranty folks have been awesome.) A GMC center in Ashland did warranty work on it in October. When this issue happened in late December- early January, they sent us to the GMC dealer in Mansfield. When that didn't go very well, we tried the other GMC dealership in Ashland, but they didn't want to work with a Ford warranty. All of this was happening while we had to be in a rental as this was our only vehicle, which we had clearly said. The GMC dealer in Mansfield called us to pressure a trade in before they'd start work on it! We declined. When they contacted us for pick up the next day, they said we needed a new door latch assembly, had left grungy handprints on the interior driver's door, and said nothing about the electrical. When we asked about that specifically, as that was the big reason we were in there, they said, "We hooked it up. There were no codes. That'll be $160." That all seemed kind of sketchy, so we took the truck to Baker's. Wow. Night and day!! Justin, the service manager, treated us with respect and professionalism. Their mechanic found and fixed the axle seals that had supposedly already been replaced by the Ashland dealer in October. AND they also replaced the actuator that controls the four-wheel-drive, which no one else had found despite our mentioning it. And remember the no codes found bit? Baker's found 16, not zero. Yup. Six-freaking-teen. Our vehicle was done when Justin said it would be done, and they even washed it! Then it had to stay an extra day to correct the work done by the center in Ashland. They worked cheerfully with sorting that out with the warranty, and fit us into their schedule. And washed it again! Not only that, somebody wiped a good bit of those grungy handprints from the other shop off of the door! I can't say enough good about Baker's, I really can't. They took us from an incredibly stressful time to a vehicle that was safe to drive again in short order. Very very grateful. We'd give fifteen stars if I could!

I was very disappointed that it took almost 3 months for the repair. After having to press him to get the job done and being told multiple times it would be done by the end of the week but not getting done for a few more weeks. Finally I get the truck back and get home to see diesel fuel was leaking from underneath the truck. We had to tow it to a different mechanic because we were from out of town. Dakota stated he would pay half of the new bill and I have called him multiple times and he has not covered half of the bill as he said he would. My business took a hit because of the dishonesty and after everything Dakota would not even make it right for us. If he didn't have the staff or time he could have just told us that up front and we would have taken the truck somewhere else. Instead he was not straight with us and my business suffered because of this. I will not be bringing vehicles back here ever.

Dale James Ford (Apple Creek, OH) is quite possibly the WORST dealership I've ever been to. I…read morecannot tell you how disappointed I am in this establishment. The dishonesty and old-school car sales tactics just aren't going to work anymore. I am looking for an older 7.3 Power Stroke diesel. I realize I'm not going to find perfection, but I am willing to pay top dollar and I'm a cash buyer. They have a truck that looked to fit the bill, but once we settled on the price, I figured I needed to check the Carfax. To my dismay, it showed a report of damage on 3 sides. I called up Scott and told him I wasn't interested. He asserted that Carfax was unreliable. I checked autocheck and it didn't show the accident. That's odd. To try and keep the sale going Scott said, "I'm almost 60 years old, been in the car business my whole life. I know what factory paint looks like. This is factory paint. Your Carfax report is very good for starting campfires but other than that totally unreliable". Well, my wife and I drive 4.5 hours and within 30 seconds of seeing the truck, we realize it's been repainted. So, he either lied, or his decades in the business didn't teach him much. His response was, "my bad.". What? My wife and I just wasted a day and two tanks of gas for you to say, "my bad?". Then he tried to make it seem like it was my fault for having too high of expectations? Excuse me? I'm paying top dollar for a 20-year-old truck. Yeah, I expect it to NOT be wrecked. I wouldn't trust this dealership, and I especially wouldn't trust Scott.
