No Sprinkler Service for you!…read more I see their trucks around town all the time, so I decided to give Sam's a try. We had a minor sprinkler repair situation. My husband decided to work from home on the day, three days after we made the appointment. They scheduled for 8am. At 9am, the guy texted to say he was running late. He showed up at 10:15 and took a look. Very quickly said some PVC is broken. It would be $500 to repair and take 3-4 hours. We agreed (at first) and he said someone would start at 11:30. After considering, $500 seemed high. They would have to dig an 18" by 18" hole (which my unskilled husband later did in an hour) and replace or glue a $25 pipe. We asked about the timing and price, offering $300. He said he can't do that and had already booked another job anyhow. I suspect Sam's might be more responsive and professional for bigger jobs. It's too bad. We plan to redo the landscaping, hardscaping, and replace the sidewalks and patio this year. Sam's seemed like a good outfit for the bigger job, so we tried this test run. Because of this subpar experience, we'll be hiring someone else.

This has happened twice now. Please save yourself the harassment and give your business to someone who actually deserves it. This is the worst of the worst of all denver businesses. Shocker that they have the lowest rating of any business I've ever seen on here.

We had old grass removed, and old cottonwood tree and roots removed, rocks cleaned and weed barrier replaced, bushes replaced, sprinklers replaced and metal edging added. He was able to come the next day to confirm the necessary work and the estimate. He replaced a leaky manifold, and malfunctioning sprinkler heads, and set up my new Rainbird Controller. Dan has considerable irrigation system experience based on his commercial work with golf courses. He understands common failure modes based on the age and type of parts and materials used in irrigation systems. He also understands local soil composition and its role in irrigation systems. His work was high quality and his price was reasonable.

My sprinkler backflow preventer was leaking so I hired Dan to replace it. His price was reasonable…read moreand his response time to questions was great. I was also having an issue with the drip line in my sprinkler system. He was able to find the problem quickly and fixed it at a good price. The issues we had are related to the copper pipe work. I would not recommend him for those types of jobs. On his first trip to our house, he left such a downward angle in the piping that I wouldn't be able to drain all of the water out in the fall. He agreed to come out and correct the issue. On his second visit, he redid the pipe work but somehow made everything worse. There was still a downward slope on the inlet pipe to the backflow preventer (see picture), and the outflow pipe was now crooked. I ended up paying another company to come out and correct his mistakes. I would recommend Dan for poly pipe problems. I would NOT recommend him for any copper pipe work. I don't think that's his area of expertise.

EVERYONE who is scheduled to have work done on a particular day will get an email saying their appointment is at 8:30 a.m. Kaemon plans the route the night before, so just text him in the morning to get an ACTUAL estimated time of arrival. Had a broken sprinkler head that needed fixing, so I called Kaizen Irrigation. First off, they took…read morelonger than expected to come out - that was frustrating. When you have a busted head and water is shooting everywhere, you want someone there yesterday, not next Tuesday. The price was reasonable, though, I'll give them that. The technician knew what he was doing and got the head fixed pretty quickly once he arrived. What I appreciated was that he also took the time to adjust my Rachio controller settings without me even asking. That was a nice touch since most irrigation guys fix the immediate problem and bolt. The work itself was solid - no complaints there. The new head is working perfectly and hasn't given me any issues since. It's just that initial response time that knocked them down from what could've been a 4-star experience. Would I call them again? Probably, but I'd plan next time instead of treating it like an emergency. If you're not in a rush and want decent work at a fair price, they'll get the job done.
