Went to Kay's to get my gel x nails fixed and redone with a new design and my whole experience here was amazing! Kay was super nice, friendly, and easy to talk to! She was very patient and very accurate with my nail design. She also made sure I was happy with my nails throughout the entire process, and I just love my new nails so much! I will be going to Kay's again to get my nails done. My experience here has been super positive so thank you Kay~ ^^

I'm in LOVE with my nails.

I have found my new nail spot. Catered my nails and she was so patient with me even though I was completely undecided on my nail color. She made the experience so easy. And the quality is just top notch. She took her time and didn't rush the process, which I appreciated. She gave me a hand massage and gave my hands a little facial at the end. I love that it was just her working today and there wasn't a lot of noise. It was very much a Zen environment. Her pricing is very fair too. I am definitely going to come back when I need a new fill for a new set. Thanks, Kay!

Kay's Nail Art is both me and my daughter's go-to place for beautiful, high quality nails. Kay's attention to details and careful work always leave us impressed. She is always dedicated to perfection. My nails always pass my careful inspection with flying colors. Beyond her skills, Kay takes the time to understand what we want, making each visit a personalized experience. She also maintains high standards of hygiene, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for us.

This was my first time getting gel X nails, and it was a really enjoyable experience! It was a spur-of-the-moment idea because I previously had a difficult week, and it totally made me feel better. My nail tech was super gentle and made sure to check with me every step because of the language barrier. The designed nails (with the clouds) were 5 bucks each. The nails with the stars were 3 bucks each. Gel X cost 70 bucks. The total was 86 bucks.

The star on one thumb was $2, the moon with gems was $5, all other gold accessories were $1.

Came in to get a gel manicure with some designs on each nail. I booked an appointment over Yelp by messaging the business and got an appointment at 1 a couple days in advance for me and my boyfriend who was getting a pedicure (his first one, he just wanted to try it out). Pedicure: We actually came around 15 minutes early and got to start my manicure about 10 minutes early which was cool. We had a great time and my boyfriend enjoyed the standard pedicure. It was $22 for around 20 minutes for the standard pedicure. He said his feet felt very smooth and he enjoyed it. Manicure: My manicure took about an hour. The person who did my nails was fast but not rough which was great. When she did my cuticles, I didn't bleed at all which is rare for me, so that was a big plus! I had a picture of what I wanted and she was able to recommend the right colors. I was also able to choose what gold nail accessories I wanted from a pretty decently sized collection. The gel manicure was $38. The marbling was $5 for each nail. Small gold accessories were $1, medium sized $2, large sized $5. My total ended up being $69 not including tip, which is somewhat expensive. I know some places are cheaper, but also I'm very satisfied with the way my nails came out. The nail artist applied several coats of gel to make sure none of the gold would come off, but my nails still weren't that thick at the end which was cool. Only problem I had was that one of the gold foiling on one finger is sticking out a little so the nail is not completely smooth, but it's a very small issue. Would I come back again? Maybe! It's pricey but you get what you pay for!

This is an updated review. The owner, Kay, personally reached out to me and was willing to fix my chipped nails free of charge. I told her what my concerns were and she explained to me everything she would do. My concerns were: 1) they filed my nail down very thin so they were very fragile and had already broken 2) the gel nail polish was already chipping after 3 days of normal wear 3) my white nail polish was starting to lift on the edges Kay was very meticulous and inspected every single nail and explained to me that she would redo the chipped black and peeling white nails, but that the green was still fine (which I agreed). While waiting for the acetone to do its thing to remove the gel, she explained that she would apply builder gel to each nail, which would help to strengthen my nails. When doing my nails, she really took her time. She reshaped the nail I had broken and made sure my nails were even on both hands. She was gentle and patient, and once she was done, she went back and double checked every single nail to make sure everything was fine and that if I was still having problems, I could contact her and come back to fix it. Kay is a business owner who runs her shop with honesty and integrity. Covid hit a lot of small businesses, but Kay still remained gracious and took the initiative to reach out to me and fix her employee's work. I appreciate that she took the time to drive back to her shop to fix my nails, and I will most definitely be coming back for Kay's work in the future.

Went to Kay's the Friday before Christmas for a gel manicure with some Winter wonderland designs. My nails turned out grey but just 5 days later they started to chip and now the day before festivities my nails look terrible. Disappointed cause I splurged and paid $55 for this gel manicure with the design and it didn't even last a week. I wouldn't go back with the price and how long they actually lasted. Really hoped this would be my new spot.

Love the result of my nails. Everyone who works there are nice and friendly. The girl that did my nails was really patient and professional. Will definitely go back next time!

I wanted to wait a couple weeks before posting my review on my nails so I could give my opinion on my nails to the full extent. Needless to say, I absolutely love my nails! My time with Kay was amazing-- she was very attentive and thoughtful, as well as quick with the service. She helped me take off my acrylic + gel nails and did a Japanese gel extension (gel x) with a design that I showed her. The nails have lasted with absolutely no issue thus far-- and typically at other nail salons, I have a huge problem with how quick they go, because they usually end up with uneven acrylic nails. Kay's nails are perfectly shaped and are very even-- no issues at all! It has been 2 weeks and they are still shiny and beautiful, and I still get compliments from strangers. I will definitely be coming back to see Kay!!!

I've only gotten two pedicures here and this time was no better than the first. I have pretty sensitive toes and when I got my first one I remembered how discomforting it was. They charge $5 to remove gel polish, FYI. The only reason why I decided to get it done again here was because I really didn't want to go two places to get my nails done and my toes. This time, was really discomforting. The lady working on my toes kept using the nail filer to file down my nail and eventually starting filing my skin. I cringed a couple times. When she was removing my cuticles on my toes, the same digging into my skin occurred. Very un-relaxing. Not only that but the water was far too hot, and they don't even throw in anything to the water, not even epsom salt... it's just plain hot water. Even for the most basic pedicures at places I've gone to they at least made the water seem like there was something special about it... I mean at least make the water turn blue... I love getting my manicures by Kay she's great but the other staff, I don't think are as qualified.... the lady working on my nails which was just gel polish really dug into my cuticle and it was just painful... I love how this place uses Japanese Gel because it's definitely more sturdy than regular gel polish but legitimately less than 10 minutes into my drive I realized my pinky polish chipped. I've had minor issues with their work, like bubbles, uneven coats and chipping a few days after I get it done but I expected it to be from my line of work: I am a manager for 3 Food & Beverage Concepts so I do a lot with my hands, but for my polish to chip so soon... really made my experience even worse. I don't think spending $68 is worth it for both a mani-pedi. I am not sure if I will come back... especially in the summer, it's 88 degrees outside and most people want to escape the heat, for this place to not have the AC turned on always, it was unbearably hot. There wasn't even a fan to oscillate the place and it wasn't until I was finished after sitting there for an hour+ that the AC finally turned on. Truly sad this place went from 5-Stars to 2-Stars

A timer was set to ensure that I received the message for the correct amount of time and the same was done for the callus remover, paraffin and hot stone treatment. However, before I had a chance to speak, she looked up and immediately told me to make an appointment online. It made me feel that she was not patient enough to listen to my question. I had not said anything yet and was just about to speak when she repeated that I should book online. I then explained that this was not my question -- I was asking about the available time slots online and the pricing. Although her tone of voice sounded gentle, her overall attitude felt impatient, and I felt that she was not interested in doing business. For context, I regularly spend over $200 per visit on manicures and I always tip generously. I was looking for a new salon nearby because my previous nail technician moved away, which is why I walked in to inquire. However, interrupting a customer before they even finish asking a question is, in my opinion, unprofessional. Of course, a business has the right to refuse service, but as a customer, I also have the right to share my experience. Based on this interaction, I don't believe the service at this salon would be very good. ------- I found the store's response, describing this as a "disturbance," quite laughable. I had not even begun speaking before I was interrupted. If you are unwilling to provide service, a sign stating so would be appropriate. However, the door was open and there is a " open" right in front of the door, clearly indicated that the business was operating, now you said that you don't want to be disturbed? How ridiculous! Of course , if you don't want to provide service , you can say " we are close " or " I am busy sorry", it is so easy. It is acceptable. Being cut off so abruptly before saying a single word made it clear that this business lacks the basic patience required for customer service. At the very least, I could have been told that they were busy and asked to return or speak later. Instead, I was simply interrupted without explanation. As business Mentioned " courteous ", I believe a courteous staff member would respond in this way, " sorry I am busy" " sorry we are close" and a courteous staff member would not consider a new customer's attempt to speak--before having the chance to finish--as an interruption. In their response, the business also labeled customer questions as "slander." Characterizing a customer's reasonable feedback as "slander" is itself a form of labeling. It shifts the discussion away from the actual issue and places an unwarranted accusation on the customer. With this type of attitude, it is difficult to understand how customers are expected to feel comfortable or respected. This response is disappointing, not because of disagreement, but because of its flawed logic. A customer raising a concern about an interaction is not an act of hostility, nor does it constitute slander. I left my comment on this platform with the expectation that, as a business owner, you would first reflect on the appropriateness of the staff's response. A simple acknowledgment or clarification would have been sufficient, and I would have been willing to try your services. When a business is open to the public, a respectful exchange between staff and customers should be the starting point. Interpreting customer questions or feedback as antagonism runs counter to the basic principles of doing business.

My sister and I went for gel manicures for her birthday, and we made an appointment ahead of time (which ended up being really helpful since there were about 10 people waiting when we arrived). Since we had an appointment, we got seated right away. I showed my nail tech my inspiration photo on my phone, and she got started pretty quickly. She was nice, but the whole service felt pretty rushed. At times she didn't even let the UV gel finish curing before asking me to take my hand out so she could move on to the next coat. I also added chrome for an extra $15, and while she did take time to make sure it covered most of the nails, I noticed later there were still some missed spots. The overall application also felt a bit uneven, and the gel looked really thick (almost more like a builder gel than a standard gel manicure). Looking at my nails from the side, the thickness seems more noticeable than previous times that I've had them done here. I'm not sure if it was from extra layers or how the gel was applied, but it didn't feel as clean as past visits. Overall, it was okay for the price and convenience, but I definitely left feeling like the attention to detail wasn't quite there this time.
