And waited. At 2:15 pm, I got an alert on my phone saying that my appointment had been rescheduled to 2:30 pm. No one said this to me verbally, they just rescheduled the appointment on their computer from 4 feet away. I asked them what was going on and they got annoyed. They asked impatiently if I needed to leave the salon by a certain time. I told them yes, that I needed to leave by 2:45 pm. "No problem," they said, "You'll definitely be out by then. 2:30 pm came and went, and finally at 2:45 pm I got up to leave. "I have to go," I told the front desk person. "Okay," she said, "Bye then." They wasted 45 minutes of my time and never apologized. Anywhere is better than here.

Today was their first day of reopening as we entered the "green phase" of the pandemic's business guidelines and they did such an awesome job. They clearly explained their new protocol and every staff member was very patient with the guests! My wax specialist was Emily. She was so personable and is evidently a very skillful aesthetician! At EWC, they use hard wax exclusively which is significantly less painful and irritating than the type of wax you find at nail salons. I am SO happy with my eyebrows! It's been 3 long months without a wax and I left Emily's lounge feeling like a brand new woman! I will definitely be going again and requesting her.

Our eyes locked and... you've seen the movie before... I called after hours and left a message. She even moved around her schedule to get me in before my trip that following weekend. She provided her prices and address via text after the phone call. The immediate pain of waxing was the 2nd worst pain I've ever felt (#1-childbirth), but she did what she could to alleviate it by holding the skin tight, applying pressure and talking me through it. She noticed I had scarring and darkening of the skin from shaving and offered solutions that I could buy from anywhere. That's when I knew it was love ! Other companies uses this as an opportunity to make some money and peddle their raggedy products, but she showed me the recommended items and just told me what to do.
