One of my favorite activities is zip lining. From the first time I ever tried it I had a blast and…read moreI will go any time I have a chance. During our recent trip to Door County, WI we headed over to the Egg Harbor Fun Park to zip with Gravity Trails. I have to be honest with you when we first arrived I was a little bummed. I only saw two poles and thought we were just zipping from one to the other. You know the saying "Never judge a book by it's cover" that holds true for zip lines too. The four of us put on our gear and awaited instructions. See the slats going up to the platform everyone is standing on? We got there by climbing up a rock wall! It wasn't bad at all and I have to say it was a really cool way to start the course. I offered to go first out of our group of 4. There were 4 zip lines and they were each a little different. I did try jumping and off course going across with out holding on. This was not my first time so I started out by letting go. Actually I also did that on my first time too. I have been zip lining with others who were nervous though and I just want to reassure you that our guides were amazing! They explained everything to us and reassured us. One of us didn't make it all the way over and zipped back to the center. They told us that there's usually one in every group. Hey, it makes for a great story and great pics! As soon as it happened Ben readjusted and headed out on his rescue mission. The upper arm strength was incredible. I mean I would have to tell you "Hang on and I'll go get someone." I guess that's why I write and don't lead zip line tours. I had a fantastic time! Gravity Tours also offers kayaking tours and Gem Mining.

We took our kids here for some gem mining on our last day in Door County. What a great experience!…read more The staff was friendly and fun. Our kids went through a couple of buckets of sand and had a blast. They make sure that everyone finds at least a few of the extra special gems too. My 9 year old was thrilled to discover a couple of arrowheads in his bucket! They have zip lining, go carts, batting cages, arcade games as well so there's something for everyone to enjoy. We are glad we made the stop!

If you haven't been white water rafting, I suggest you go. You might pee** yourself a little but it…read moreis so worth it!! It's a good hike up in cheese land and I was only expecting maybe a class 2 or 3 (class 6 being the highest). Big surprise when we did a class 4. Sounds scary I know, but I learned that picking the right guide/ tour company is key. It makes a difference when it comes to safety and your overall experience. NA is all about having fun but being safe. The owner and our guide Matt was hilarious but also made sure that we knew what we were doing to keep us far away from any injury's. And like he said you really get to know the people in your raft because at some point you will be on top of them. There actually isn't a whole lot of rowing and the intense portions go by in a flash but at least with the help of a hiking trail and another boat you end up doing the intense parts twice. Other then that you are shooting the shit with Matt and the others in your group. Matt has a wealth of knowledge about the area and about "adventure" type stuff. I think it was the perfect combo of relaxing and heart racing experience. I would tell you more but to be honest this is really something you should experience for yourself. I will say that we all had a blast and not one of us ended up in the water... well, at least not from the rapids. I would totally do this again!! ** You're not actually allowed to pee in or out of the boat. Matt will ask you if you would like for him to come to your work and pee on your desk or something, no, then don't pee at his place of work.

It was exciting and the views were beautiful. We will most certainly be back and telling others about you all as well! In reading other reviews here, like Catherine's from 6/30/18, I couldn't agree more. The reviews you see here are spot on. Safety. Office staff, it all!

The staffperson working yesterday (Sunday) was very nice, but the rental bikes were not in good…read morecondition. My wife and I each rented hybrids, and it took me several tries to find a bike that seemed functional. Multiple had loose front wheels that wouldn't tighten, but after a few attempts the attendant was able to get one tightened. Sizing and fitting aren't really part of the process -- this was more of a "just pick whatever bike you want" situation. Soon after we left, I realized that my tires were underinflated, so we had to go back for air. And midway through our ride, huffing and puffing to maintain speed, we realized that most of the brakes were rubbing -- both wheels on my bike, and the front wheel on my wife's. At $40 for a half day per bike, this was a disappointing experience. If you're looking for a rental bike to bum around for a few hours, this might be fine, but if you want to go for a real ride I'd recommend renting elsewhere, or making sure that River Outfitters improves their maintenance practices.

Hotel Indigo rented out our bikes to some of their guests so they were gone when we came downstairs. It was the last night of our trip and so we couldn't get the bikes back from the hotel to return them. The hotel said they would drop them off and didn't. The River Outfitters actually went to the hotel and retrieved the bikes for us and didn't charge us anything for going over time or the inconvenience after hearing our story. They were super understanding! I wish more companies would treat their customers like this.
