The background music sets the tone for comfort and I appreciated him having snacks and an assortment of beverages available because I booked myself and a friend back to back so was there for 2 hours. He started by asking me what I wanted and confirming exactly what it was before he tackled my tangled curly hair. The shampoo and conditioner he used smelled amazing and transformed my curls from dry and brittle to healthy and soft. As he styled my hair he gave it layers and talked me through how to take care of it better, which is greatly appreciated. Curly hair clients will be very happy with his services because I for sure am! After he was done with me there was a chair for me to sit down on and hang out while he trimmed and styled my friend's hair. She has anxiety and so getting her to come was already a struggle. He was so compassionate and calm with her. Asking her clarifying questions and explaining what he was doing before he did it. He will be perfect for kids! In the end, she was okay with having a few inches of split ends trimmed off, and had a big smile on her face! I paid with my credit card and tipped him 20% because that's the standard. His prices are reasonable and the products he uses are better than even Aveda's. They enrich the hair, smell amazing, and are affordable if one wants to purchase them. When I made the decision to go HOT PINK tips with Platinum Blonde I knew the look I was hunting for. I did not want a very bright pink, more of a pastel, and the blonde to be white with grey undertones. Heavy order when I had reddish brown ombre to begin with. I called Hair Etc and was informed it is typically not a request they get very often but could accommodate easily. They did the research for me and found the best possible dye for my hair (often breaks, thin, damaged due to styling) and informed me that it would most likely fade even though they would use permanent dye. We completed the process and I got the pastel pink I was looking for. They styled my hair for free and supplied information on quality products to aid me in the endeavor of keeping the color as long as possible. I would also like to share that conversation with Crystal does not appear superficial. She is completely casual and Hair Etc. really makes you feel comfortable in your decision of hairstylist.
