I went in to get my wedding set repaired and decided to upgrade my set instead. The salesman was not overly helpful, and a bit pushy. Once I decided on the set I wanted, it needed to be sent out and sized down. After waiting 2 weeks I was called and told it would be another week. When I was told my ring was ready for pick up, I went in to find out the sized it down 2 sizes smaller than what I needed, and it had to be sent back! I went in to the store at fallen timbers on 12/30/18 to have my wedding rings inspected per usual and requested they be sent out as I no longer wanted them soldered. I was working with Patti Kirsch, the office manager. She stated no that she didn't agree with sending them to be taken apart because I should have them reset at the event they have coming up. I explained that I no longer wanted them soldered and she continued to argue. At this point I was very uncomfortable as I do not like confrontation. Patti then sat me down and started looking for my husband and I's store account as it must be updated stating my jewelry was inspected to keep my warranty active. She stated she needed to update the account to make it easier to locate and asked me a few questions including my social security number. This should have been a red flag. She handed me a card and sent me on my way with an appointment for the resetting event. Before leaving I asked another associate to help me as I still wanted to send my jewelry sent out to be separated. This woman kindly obliged. It wasn't until I was getting into my car and driving home did I realize what had just happened. I called the store and Patti said yes she had opened a store credit card for me. This was without my permission completely ( my husband is an accountant and we don't take our credit scores lightly), no signature was requested, nothing about my income. I explained I needed to speak with a district manager, Jodi Sullivan (the district manager) finally called me on 1/11/19 from the store I was making the complaint about but I was working and missed the call. So when I called back Patti answered and stated Jodi was no longer in but she would text her and let her know I called. Still no return call from Jodi. I called corporate and she left on 1/21/19 for a two week vacation and no one else is allowed to help me with my case. We are nearing a month with the his issue. Worst jewelry company to do business with. They canceled my credit card with them twice now, without contacting me first. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years. Then they won't even respond when you email customer service. They also deleted my online account with no notice and for no reason. Still won't respond. Now the proof of purchase and warranty information that was stored is all gone. Don't do business with these places, they only care about the bottom line and customer loyalty isn't rewarded. When you email them a question they also put your email into their marketing system. Even if you just email them a customer service question. They send like 10 emails a day as well. I bought a custom engagment ring at kay jewelers in BG it had some solder marks and tool marks when I picked it up I asked the manager at kay to fix them its brand new why does it have marks on it? so they sent it out and it came back with the same marks this went on another 6 times with it being sent out and coming back each time taking a month or longer that last time I got it back they had polished the band down to 1/4 of what it started at it still had the marks on it and they stated the ring is now junk and should not be worn as it will break and is no longer able to be paired with a wedding band or fixed ....this is my engagement ring what do you mean you destroyed it shouldnt you replace the band you ruined ..their only option after speaking with their corporate office was for me to purchase another band they would take off part of what I paid for the first band as a "trade in" and I would have to pay the remaining $730 dollars for my new band as my band currently isn't worth anything and $75 dollars to transfer the stones and since my warranty/ extended service plan was now "used" I would have to purchase a new one at $250 dollars ...completely distraught i left the store to think about it on my way home I decided to stop at Waddington jewelers and get a second opinion they offered to add gold to the band and remove the marks or transfer the stones to a new band if I purchased a new band from them for free or solder my existing ring to a wedding band to strengthen it after deciding to keep my original ring due to my husband designing it and sentimental reasons I purchased a wedding band and had them soldered together they had my ring LESS then a week and were able to remove ALL the marks thicken my band and solder them together its ABSOLUTELY Gorgeous and completely mark free for $45 dollars they fixed my ring and they DID NOT offer or sell me a service plan just stated we stand behind our work for a lifetime !!!! I was SO VERY IMPRESSED with the friendliness of the staff the selection and choices I was offered to repair something I didn't even buy from them I would recommend them to anyone buying jewelry COMPLETELY ABSOLUTELY OVERWHELMING PERFECTSERVICE AND AMAZING CRAFTSMANSHIP !!!! Do not go there, they rip you off. We were told a value for a trade-in on earrings and that a coupon we had would be used as well, so we spent a little more counting on those savings. After the incompetent clerk's third time of trying to do the checkout we thought it was finally right, however, they did not give us the coupon, the full amount told for the trade wasn't correct and the Santa certificates for $200 was BLANK! After going back into the store, they said there was nothing we could do, the clerk didn't know what she was talking about when she told us all of that. Then when I came back to pick up the earrings, the woman tried to give me the almost $1,000 earrings in a baggie!!!! They weren't even going to put them in a box!? And forget it if you thought they would still gift wrap the items for Christmas, that doesn't happen as apparently you are lucky to get a box!
