I would not recommend Kay's to anyone ever again. The only reason we went to Kay's was because we had heard they treat service men and women very well and that they had great workmanship. My fiancé is in the military and bought 2 stones overseas. We went to Kay's to have them set. My first was cracked all the way through the stone and yet was still set without Kay's ever calling us to see what we wanted to do with the stone. Than when we picked up our rings not only did I see the crack with my naked eye, but so did my fiancé, our neighbors, and another jeweler who admitted that they had contacted Kay's about the stone being cracked. My engagement ring is still not sized right, there's a chip in my replacement stone (which Kay's denies there is one even though another jeweler looked at it and said there was one), my other stone fell completely out of the setting and I was pretty much accused of yanking it out of the setting even though there was no damage to the stone or the prongs holding my stone onto the ring. Here's the kicker. When we first said something about my first stone being cracked all the way through, Kay's not only denied knowing anything about the crack, but than in the same few minutes they provided my fiancé and I the emailed pictures of my stone with the crack in it that was sent to them by the jewelers that set my stone. All they offered us was $200 for the issues we've been having with their products. My fiancé is in the military and if we would have known how bad Kay's workmanship is and how poorly they treat the military, we would have never gone to them. I wish we would have gone to Jared's or somewhere else. Even Wal-Mart has better quality rings than Kay's! Save your money and go someplace else!!!!! read more
