Met a friend here mid-morning on a Wednesday. Seems like a random location, but their signage made it easy to find. I ordered right away without a wait, although there were a decent amount of people enjoying the cafe already. Seating was a little random and could be scarce. I had a decaf oat milk latte with maple & vanilla, half sweet. Very, very good! I usually only order my lattes with vanilla, but the nice barista spoke highly of their maple so I'm glad I gave it a try. My friend had a smoothie and said it was good. They had a water station and clean restrooms. Would come back - seems like a good place to get work done!

    Burrito with kielbasa!!!

Very delicious lattes and burrittos ( burritto with kielbasa and the pigs in a blanket with an excellent sriracha mayo. Atmosphere is still amazing with retro classic music playing in background. Staff even prepared a teddy graham latte to-go for another family member and it was as good the next morning as my coffee in the coffee shop. Thank you. Visited near noon and the food and drink were the same quality as during a regular breakfast morning time. Blueberry muffin and giant cinnamon bun with tasty icing were additional to-go items and baked goods always last multiple days at home.

Deceptively large coffee shop tucked away in a strip mall. When I arrived about 10:30 it is was moderately busy with most of the tables occupied and a pleasant background noise of conversation. They have a number of seasonal specials including the Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate. When they ask if this is a to go or drink in, this is not just a tax question. In cafe drinking is the way to go as they serve their drinks in real cups, massively improves the already excellent taste. The Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate was wonderful and the cream appeared to be real whipped cream as it didn't instantly dissolve, effortlessly supporting the chocolate syrup applied across the top. If I am in the area I will definitely visit again. This coffee shop deserves better exposure, a hidden gem!

Tucked away in the back of a strip mall, this coffee shop is hidden gem!!! Recommend to me by a coworker, and now a new favorite! A cozy outdoorsy atmosphere with delicious food, house made syrups, and delightful coffee!

After doing some work in Colorado Springs one afternoon, we stopped by Kawa Coffee. This is a cute coffee shop hidden at the back of a strip mall. The coffee boost was just what we needed before a long drive home. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. They got the initial order wrong, but were quick to fix it. It's a nice little space, but it does appear to need a good clean. That aside, I'd definitely visit again if I was in the area.

This place. I just ate the best breakfast burrito on this side of Pikes Peak thanks to the allstar worker Megan (I think she's the owner?). Also had a top tier iced pomegranate matcha. Tasted delightful. Overall great vibes, top tier ambiance, I'll return.

Amazing coffee!! Awesome service and such a friendly staff. So glad we stopped in while visiting from CA. I was in love with their coffee. The baristas know what they are doing!

We frequented this hidden coffee spot when Bf lived in the neighboring apartment. They have non dairy options and several creative lattes. I've only ever had the iced Canuck which is a maple syrup breve. Yum! Sweet but not too sweet. Today we returned for the first time in over a year since bf moved away. It was busy, much busier than we'd ever seen, given it is Saturday morning. The barista up front was busy fidgeting on his IPads when we arrived. He fidgeted on it for several minutes before taking our order and thanking us for our patience. There seemed to be several regulars that the baristas recognized. After we ordered we waited 25 minutes for our order. There was a good 5 people that ordered after us too. There were 5 baristas working so not sure why the wait was so long. The one barista was taking orders instead of helping making drinks. They even served an order that was taken after us, before us! The iced Canuck was as good as I remembered, and Bf liked his iced chai with espresso. Overall a cute spot if you have the time to wait. Prepare to wait on a weekend. Maybe less so if you are a regular.

This hidden gem is tucked away between two buildings in a small strip mall. At first I couldn't find it but then saw the small sign indicating that it was in the back. I got a cafe americano with medium roast coffee. It was fantastic. No cream or sugar needed! I decided to treat myself and went for the coffee cake that I had warmed. When I dug in for my first bite the scent of cinnamon filled the air. That totally caught me by surprise but I knew that I was in for a treat. The outside of the cake had a wonderful crunchy crust of cinnamon and sugar. The inside was moist and delicious. It was to die for.

Snag some street parking in Downtown Colorado Springs across from Acacia Park and mozy on into the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives favorite, Skirted Heifer. I remember watching their episode 10 years ago. I didn't even live in Colorado back then! Their claim to fame is the iconic cheese "skirt" on their burgers. The way they melt the cheese, you get this funky crispy cheesy entity around the burger resembling a skirt. On this visit, I kept it simple with the Pueblo Farmer and fries. Pueblo Farmer ($12.25) // Grass-fed beef, pueblo chilies, pepper jack cheese, & homemade guacamole on our sesame seed bun. Beefy, spicy, creamy, a perfectly balanced burger. I didn't get it skirted (I honestly was so tired from driving that I forgot), but I wouldn't change much about this burger. Damn tasty! Burgers don't come with fries so I added those on. These are thin and salty. Even though the fries are extra, they have a little sauce bar with their ketchup, ranch, and Heifer sauce to accompany it. The sauces were all great and tasted homemade! Honestly, just wish there was more seating as it's usually crowded. They do have a few outdoor stools, but it does get chilly when the sun is down. If it's good enough for Guy (Fieri...duh) it's good enough for me!

Similar to a pop up or ghost kitchen, Zings is located in the back of a building near the car lot and Social Security building. I had no issues parking and was addressed right away. Looking at the pictures online, I wanted to try for the first time, smoked oxtails. It comes over rice, with two sides and cornbread. I chose green beans with white potato's, and baked beans. The guy working here is a one man show and was extremely pleasant and inviting. He had me try the fresh squeezed lemonade. He offers flavors for add in and I chose peach. It was so tasty and refreshing. The oxtails were tender, and well seasoned. The side dishes were on point and the amount of food for the price point was appropriate. For dessert, the butterfinger or Oreo cake were available. I went with the butterfinger cake and it was moist, and delicious and also a first time item for me. I sampled the brisket nachos and I can see this as a snack while watching your favorite sporting event or show. I was very pleased with my food and did a same day review to share pictures and to spread the word about a small business worthy of visiting. Of note, the card reader wasn't working so it's best if you bring cash. This is not an establishment where you can eat on the premises...unless it's in your car. It's simply grab and go. Not a long wait as he immediately fixed my order and I was on my way. If in the area, I would eat here and recommend them to others. We were seated after standing around for a couple minutes and then completely forgotten about. We watch people hustle and bustle around us. We watched orders being taken in orders being dropped off at tables. Not one person walking by us, acknowledged us and said anything. I'm in the service industry and I feel it's very important to acknowledge people. This did not happen. We were a bit underdressed and started to feel like maybe this was their way to shake off people who underdress or look different. Our server seemed very kind, but it seemed like maybe he was a bit overwhelmed. We ordered our drinks and our food. Our drinks came out fairly soon, but the food took forever. At one point, we even questioned our waiter on why it was taking so long and one of the kitchen heads came out to clear up the matter we just said we've been waiting forever and we just ordered three burgers . Two people at the table had ordered their burgers, medium. Mind you as a cook I know, medium is a tough one to nail with hamburgers, but it would've been nice if there was the slightest bit of pink or juice in the patty. Both of us that had medium burgers had overcooked well-done burgers. I felt bad for our waiter so I gave him a decent tip. He really did do his best in the storm of a lunch. It just really sucks when you wait forever and then when it finally comes out it's "meh". I've been to Ted's on two other occasions and everything was on point. Maybe it was because I was with my mom and my very conservative looking brother. Yesterday we looked like three mountain Wookies (handsome , burly mountain folk) dining in for lunch. Maybe that's the difference.
