Their 24/7 emergency line is quick and efficient. From the newborn crying phone calls to 104 degree fevers and ER trips, they set a plan of action and always reassure they are with you every step of the way. I wish we could rate them higher. We have had nothing but incredible experiences with every single pediatrician in this practice. After our sons first day of PT/OT therapy, Dr. Ober called to see how we were doing. After every late night emergency line call, they have called to follow up/check in with us in the morning. They care about your child and know your family well. They go above and beyond and it is comforting and reassuring your child is truly in the best hands. Thank you for all of your care and support!

Although the doctors are great, the nurses however are not. I was just hung up on and accused of…read moregetting my prescription illegally after calling in to have them refill it. I take an anxiety/depression medication once daily and they cut me off cold turkey. They couldn't get me in for a visit until 4 days from now, since it'll be the weekend.. I explained to the nurse that I get very dizzy without my medication and 4 days without it will be very dangerous for me (being a nurse she should know this). The nurse proceeded to tell me the date of my last visit and then hung up on me. Regardless of when my last visit was, this is no way to talk to a patient and I find it very unprofessional to put someone in danger by stopping their meds without a warning. This being said I will never return to this facility.

My dad originally was treated @ St. Joes wound care for years, until he became sick of the "status quo" & never fixed the underlying issues he had. My dad read an article in his New Mobility magazine where Dr. Ruben had treated the editor in Oregon & was explaining his issues and how Dr. Ruben handled the situation. Unlike many doctors that treat wound care and have no real knowledge in it, Dr. Ruben is a certified infectious disease doctor and his knowledge is mind blowing. You would think a doctor like this would be arrogant or have horrible bedside manner right? No, his bedside manner and the time he will sit with a patient and his family and try to TEACH them as well is just unbelievable. I myself went through some things medically & Dr. Ruben helped me out without hesitation as well. I have never met a doctor that is so compassionate and caring. He goes above and beyond in anything he does, along with everyone in the office, especially his right hand woman Kitty. She is phenomenal! I have never had an office calling to check up on or just make sure everything is ok. I consider Dr. Ruben a gift from god. When I explained I've had several Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection, that's what he booked for for, even though I asked for a Cervical Facet Radiofrequency Ablation. I went through with it because it's a process. Despite the fact that the office has a website that offers script refills, and communication with the Drs, I was told by someone over the phone, "we don't use that', but no one could explain why it's offered online then. Nor do they refill scripts over the phone; a Dr visit is required. Last complaint. Monday-Thursday, last appointments are 3pm and 1pm on Friday.

I went to see him after an unpleasant experience…read morewith another orthopedic surgeon from the Ascension Providence health system & I am very glad I sought a 2nd opinion. Dr Mackey was very kind, knowledgeable, personable and caring, took a lot of time with me and I actually now have a different prognosis and treatment plan from him. The other surgeon wanted to perform surgery which it turns out is not only not necessary but was wrong. He never shared my x-ray with me or answered any of my questions or concerns. He said I had arthritis which it turns out was incorrect, I do not have arthritis or need surgery, just some inflammation which can be treated without invasive intervention. I would highly recommend Dr Mackey to anyone without any reservation. He is a wonderful doctor and his entire staff treated me with respect & caring.
