Reto is a nice guy. That said, I'm. disappointed with the service. I bought a tankless water heater, and a water conditioner system. They installed the tankless water heater and did not turn on the circulation pump. Another plumber came and discovered that. When I emailed Kaufman plumbing to point this out- that it was not turned on, zero response from them. Oh, and I was also told that I could get a rebate. I tried applying for that and was told that it was too late, and that I wasn't eligible. In addition to this, when the Kaufman team drilled holes in the wall of the garage they left gaps between the pipes instead of patching it up. It was also pointed out by another plumber that they failed to install an outlet on the roof for the hot water heater, so I had to pay another plunber do the job they should have done in the first place. read more

I'm not one to write a review, but I have to compliment Reto for his service. I reached out to him for a backflow valve that was leaking. On his own, he reached out the City of Palm Springs for them to take a look first. The City of Palm Springs came by and fixed the problem at NO COST. Another plumbing company wanted to charge me $1,650.00. Reno wouldn't take any money. He was being proactive and honest and saved me a lot of money. Always happy to write a good review for a service company when they get it right - and Kaufmann Plumbing gets it right. I was referred to Kaufmann by our home protection plan company for a problem with the toilets in both bathrooms: in one, the handle stuck and stayed down when flushed allowing the water to run and in the other, the handle needed to be manually held down to flush and raised to stop. Spoke to Linda in the office who couldn't have been nicer or friendlier in scheduling the appointment. Plumber Delfino came out on time and also couldn't have been nicer or more professional. He explained what the problems were and what needed to be done to correct them. We needed handle assemblies replaced as well as the flap and one of the fill valves. He was able to do part of the job in the one visit but needed to return with a part to complete the job. For the return, he was once again on time. Delfino worked cleanly and efficiently and we couldn't have asked for a better service encounter. I can highly recommend Kauffman Plumbing for your plumbing needs. PS: a week or so later we had a new problem with a leak in the o-ring at the bottom of one of the toilets. Based on our previous positive experience with them, we requested that the home protection company send out Kaufmann Plumbing. Once again, we were fortunate enough to get Delfino who, once again, arrived on time (spoiling us for any other service people we might have to deal with) and took care of the problem. We have been struggling with a clothes washer that does not drain properly, on and off for years. Part of the problem is how our laundry room was constructed. To make a long story short, in the last two days we have had to have two different companies come out to our home. In these trying times, that can be scary enough without major issues and price gouging. The long and short of it is this: We had to use our warranty company and they sent out a company that had no idea what they were doing and just wanted to collect their service call fee. Then we had to call back and luckily we got Kaufman Plumbing - Great Service! So thankful to have found a company that knows what they are doing, they are professional, and you can communicate with everyone involved in the entire process. I'm hesitant to write this review because I really want to keep Kaufman Plumbing to myself. I had a water pipe in the slab leak a few years ago. Thankfully my insurance company paid for the replacing all the piping in my house. Reto and his team did an amazing (and clean) job of cutting into my drywall and repiping the entire house. He also recommended an amazing drywaller and painter to finish the job. You cannot tell that my 1957 mid century was carved up and then patched back up. I couldn't have been happier. I wouldn't think of calling anybody else but Kaufmann plumbing! Recently we had a drain pipe collapse UNDER the house foundation and it was a major job. Juan did it in one day and charged a very reasonable price. I found it amazing that he could do the whole job by only removing one tile, jackhammering the foundation and then excavating. In other words he completed the whole job with minimal destruction. He covered all the bedroom furnishings and made no mess at all. Highly recommended! read more

I have used Kaufman Plumbing numerous times and have had the best experience each time! Most recently, I used them to disconnect, cap off gas line, and dispose of a gas BBQ grill that was no longer functional. It was bolted to a concrete pad since the original construction of our home and seemed no small task to shear off the bolts and remove the grill. The technician arrived promptly, surveyed the situation, and removed the grill which had been an eyesore for quite some time! This is a mixed review. We had Kaufmann install a Nuvo H2O system (softener and filter) last year. The installation itself went smoothly. Unfortunately the Nuvo system itself doesn't seem to be doing much of anything. We still have water spots as we did before, and the water tastes about the same. When I replaced the filter and softener elements after six months, there was no improvement. At that time I noticed that the softener element had been installed backwards, with the water flowing through the unit in the wrong direction. I called Kaufmann, and they came right out and fixed it. Even so, we still have water spotting and the water tastes about the same. I have since installed a small under counter water filter for our kitchen faucet, and it does a great job. This was what I was expecting from the Nuvo system. Kaufmann was great to work with - but I never really got what I expected from the system. read more

If I could give these guys 20 stars, I would! First of all, I am a Real Estate agent and I have dealt with A LOT of plumbers. I found these guys when I purchased vacation home in Palm Springs 6 years ago and they have been my go-to every since. This past weekend, we had a slab leak at a vacation rental we own, and the plumber sent by the property manager immediately wanted to tear out the floors, tile, etc, gave an astronomical rice, and would have left us to repair the floors afterward. Not only would this have been costly and time consuming, it was completely unnecessary. We were looking at losing a good amount of money in upcoming bookings also. Reto came in and looked at it, and suggested cutting the old lines and re-rerouting them with new plumbing over head so they would be accessible in case of any future repairs. They did the work in 2 days, with very minimal damage to the walls (which they also repaired). They are professional, prompt, clean/neat, do very good work, and I can not say enough good things about them. And let me tell you, it is hard to earn praise from me. Turns out I was charged $160 in labor costs for a simple replacement of a pull-out hose in the kitchen faucet. The repair required two trips, because they didn't have the part they needed the first time. The woman on the phone told me that their failure to carry the part (for my newish, not terribly exotic HansGrohe faucet) was "not their fault," which I guess makes it my fault. The plumber they sent to me last year was excellent. I gave a check to their worker. Months later they say they never got it and sent it into collections. The woman on the phone was rude. It wasn't until I pressed her that she stated that this worker had been fired a short time after. I asked her to check her bank statements to see if they had deposited the check and she declined to do so. I have to pay to cancel the check which is on me. This company is disorganized and unprofessional. The two stars are for the plumber they fired. I would have given him five but with their zero stars for customer service it averaged out to two. read more
