We set up an intro call with Nicole to hear how she works and what a typical wedding day looks like. Right away, we loved her energy. Her pricing felt super reasonable too. On the big day, she showed up a little early and just jumped in. She worked the whole thing solo and somehow managed to be totally professional while also super chill and easy to be around. It honestly felt more like a friend helping us out. Within minutes, we knew we'd made the right call. She made us feel calm and totally taken care of, and everything turned out great. It also happened to be 106 degrees that day. She was out there carrying a bunch of cameras, flying a drone (such a fun bonus), and acting like the heat didn't even bother her. The schedule kept shifting a bit, but she rolled with it and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. She had a full list of family combos and stayed on top of it. She even showed us a few sneak peeks during the day, which got us even more excited to see the rest. Nicole brought the best energy. She was fun, kept us grounded, and just felt like someone you'd actually want to hang out with on your wedding day. She also had this great way of catching real moments and emotions without anyone noticing. Some of our favorite photos are little interactions between us or with guests that we totally would've forgotten if she hadn't caught them. She also reminded us to breathe and slow down, and helped us shake off nerves more than once. And the final photos? Stunning. They totally matched the vibe we'd seen in her past work. She sent over a bunch of previews just days after the wedding, right when we were feeling that post-wedding crash. It gave us such a boost. The full gallery came sooner than we expected and was super easy to go through. She gave us a ton of photos, including so many great candids and moments we didn't even realize happened. She was great at giving just the right amount of direction too. She'd check our outfits and give little cues to help us look relaxed, not stiff. Every now and then she'd have us do something goofy, like a silly kiss or a fake dance that felt kind of awkward in the moment. But the photos turned out awesome. She knew exactly what she was doing. We usually try to be balanced in reviews, but honestly? We've got nothing to critique. Nicole crushed it. She showed up solo, nailed it in wild heat, and was just a joy to have around. We loved her. We had interviewed a few other photographers, but as soon as my [now] husband and I met with her, I knew it was magic. She was so fun and easy to talk to, it felt like we'd known each other for years rather than minutes. We had our engagement session at the OC fair and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. I was a little nervous beforehand, having all of this attention on me and worrying about not looking natural, but as soon as we started she just encouraged us to do our thing - walk around, pet the animals, take photo booth pictures, getting cotton candy etc. It felt more like a date than a photo shoot. Our wedding day was just as fun (x100) and carefree. Brandi and the second shooter showed up in the morning, a little earlier than they needed to I might add, and went straight to work. I never worried about details, groomsmen or family shots - she was always one step ahead of me letting me know what was going on. As everyone knows, the day goes by so incredibly fast and all you think about is how amazing the day was and how you wish you could relive it and, at the risk of sounding ridiculously cheesy, we are able to do just that because she did such an amazing job capturing all of our special moments. Sara was GREAT! After communicating to see what our wedding schedule was, about a month before the…read morewedding, she sent out a Google doc of our schedule, by the hour, with the photography plans she had with ideas under each section/hour. She's very DETAIL ORIENTED. Additionally, the doc contained when the sunset would occur (so we knew when to take our romance photos) and a section where we filled out which people would be in the family photos; this made family photos go so smooth! On the day of the wedding, she brought a second photographer, who was so fun; they made a great team! The second photographer acted as Sara's shadow, so the two of them would get as much coverage from the session as possible. 1 days after the wedding, Sara sent videos that she took throughout the day, and then by day 2 she sent us a preview of our photos while she worked on our official album. There were so many great photos to preview!! I loved how ORGANIZED Sara was, but I also appreciated that she was very FLEXIBLE too! Whatever random photo ideas we had (i.e. having a solo photo shoot for our dog in his tuxedo) she was on board with. What I learned from this experience is that it's so important to feel comfortable with your photographer; you're literally with this person for 6+ hours. Sara and her second shooter definitely made us feel at ease the whole time and I'm so glad that we chose her to photograph us! She is easy to contact and very prompt at responding, which is important to me, especially when trying to organize/plan a wedding, communication is key. Sara helped with suggestions of where to take engagement pictures as well as with what colors would look best to wear. She sends sneak peek pictures quickly, which we loved and are so excited to see the rest. We love how beautiful and natural Sara's photos look. They are washed out or have weird filters, the colors are vibrant without being overdone. Having pictures that looked vibrant but natural was so important to me and we love how they turned out. She took beautiful detail photos as well as fun group photos. Pricing is also very reasonable and on the lower end of many quotes we got. We absolutely loved working with Sara (and the second shooter, also named Sarah) and would 100% recommend her and would love to work with her again in the future!

I looked through their website and we chose Sharon. She knows the boat very well, the locations, the lighting, the whole process...Admittedly, a wedding on a boat is very different, more different than I expected, on a boat from a wedding at a regular venue. If you have chosen one of the boats, please make sure you find an experienced photographer with your venue, whichever boat it is. Sharon was very good at communicating beforehand. She sent me a questionnaire to fill out to learn more about the wedding. Every time I sent something new to her, she would send me back with an updated plan. I thought that was very assuring for a bride to know exactly what we were expecting on the wedding day. The day of, she was very professional and she would direct us how to pose for our pictures. As you know, people freeze in front of cameras. Thanks to her, we had fun and also good photos. One thing that was really impressive was that she was good with kids and our little puppy. She knew how to get their attentions, well of course other guests as well. Overall, we enjoyed our wedding day and our wedding photos with Sharon and her assistant. We would recommend her, especially for those events on Electra Cruises.

My husband and I got married on the Athena through Electra Cruises. I wanted another photographer,…read morebut he wasn't available, he referred Sharon Pulcino. It was my second wedding, so we didn't need a lot of photos, just the sunset, pictures with the kids and our families. I chose Electra's basic pkg. I should have seen the RED FLAG when Sharon told me the basic pkg was for "FILM" not digital photos. She said if I choose the basic pkg, she will take a few rolls of pics and hand me the film at the end of the wedding. If I wanted the FILM processed and scanned, it will cost me an additional $200. I told her I didn't realize photographers were still using film. She said she will do digital if I wanted to pay an additional $100 and she would "process them." I called Tabatha at Electra about this. She said their photography package does indeed state "film photos," but it was a very old form they just hadn't updated. I also called a couple of photographers on Electra's list and NOBODY uses film anymore. Tabatha spoke with Sharon. Sharon responded to me with an email saying "I'll go ahead & create a special package for you. 200 photos on CD with light processing for Electra's basic package price - no upgrade charges." I explained to Sharon the main reason I wanted to have an evening wedding was to capture the sunset for our photos. Unfortunately, she didn't capture any pictures of the sun setting behind us during our portraits, but she got a couple of shots of our guests. I received the wedding CD after the wedding with an email from Sharon stating "Electra's package is a download & burn only...digital has an amber cast on facial tones that needs to be corrected. Also I noticed blacks need to be lower in some photos. Properly process all the files $250." According to Sharon, the "processing" she previously mentioned "is only to convert to JPG"!! She's right, our pictures did have an amber cast on facial tones and some pictures were dark! This woman is outrageously shameless! She is constantly trying to extort people for more money and taking advantage of people wanting/needing good pictures for a moment you can never recapture!! I contacted the other photographers on the list and asked if they "process" their pictures before giving them to the customers. They all said absolutely! They adjust the lighting and process all the pictures. They said not doing so would be handing over an incomplete product. I called Electra and got the runaround from Jason the manager. He had an attitude like he couldn't care less and basically told me I got what's described in the package. After explaining what the other photographers said, he finally said he would contact Sharon for a special favor and ask her to "process" the pictures. Well, Sharon sent me another disc. She wasn't even professional enough to use a new one (cost 5 cents?). It had somebody else's name scratched off on it. I almost cried when I saw my wedding pictures. Every single one of them had a blue hue/shadow to it. She didn't fix them, she made them worse!!!! I called Jason at Electra again. He was extremely rude this time and told me he did everything he could. I guess once Electra has your money, you're kicked to the curb. I finally told him I was going to write a bad review about Electra, he argued that they had nothing to do with it. I told him Creative Vision Photography was their vendor and I would have never used them if Sharon Pulcino wasn't on their list of PREFERRED vendors. He changed his attitude and told me Sharon should have known better, she worked for Electra as a wedding coordinator for many years.......He said he would "pay" Jerry Kelly (the photographer I originally wanted to use) to fix my photos. Jerry did and they came out so much better!! I hope you read this about my horrible experience before choosing your photographer.
