We originally purchased an extremely comfortable firm pillow top Restonic mattress that was a display unit. Unfortunately after a year or so, through a defect of some sort, the sidewall collapsed on the mattress and it began sagging badly. We contacted Barry's to initiate a warranty replacement, and they offered to replace it same day if we could bring ours and pick up the replacement. I was not home, so my wife and a family member worked out the swap. The replacement turned out to not be a Restonic and it had a memory foam top instead of the pillow top. The foam made for an extremely hot sleeping experience and it began breaking down and sagging within 2 years. I stopped in the store and told the manager of the situation and that I was unhappy with the so-called warranty replacement not being the brand or quality of the original. He arranged for another replacement and told us to pick out another set with a warranty credit. They only had 3 Restonic mattresses in the store; two were of lower quality and the third was nearly a thousand dollars above the credit we had to apply. He then showed us another mattress that he claimed was manufactured by a company recently acquired by Restonic. He said that the warranty cards and labels had not yet been updated, but that he would send us the updated documentation once it arrived. This documentation has never been seen, and, based on the sagging this latest mattress experienced, I believe it to be another generic substandard mattress. Our original was an 800+ coil count firm, and the others have not held up at all. I believe in shopping locally, but I will not purchase anything, mattresses or otherwise, from Barry's in the future.

I called back as directed. Spoke to a woman who said she would get me on the schedule. WHY wasn't I already on the schedule???? That was the purpose of my call 4 days prior!!! She then asked how I would pay. She asked card or pay driver. I stated I would send check with driver. I understood weather delayed delivery on 19th. So waited Monday, called again at 1 PM on 21st. Was told driver would try to get to me that day. Received a call at 3:30 saying driver was running late and it would be tomorrow. I said it would have to be on Saturday as I had to work rest of the week. I had wasted an entire day waiting on him as it was. I called on Tuesday the 22nd to make sure I was on the schedule for Sat 26th. Lady said she would call me back. I explained the answer should be yes you are since we want to keep your business. She had to check with driver and said she would call back. She never called back and now is 1 PM on 26th and still no propane. Their prices may be cheap but their service is substandard. Obviously they are incapable of scheduling deliveries in a timely manner and do NOT respect their customers time. If you heat with propane you will freeze waiting on them! Another question now is if I had prepaid with credit card would I have to dispute the charges as they NEVER delivered the goods? In Jan 2018 I had called them to run gas line so I could add another heater. At that time I was told it would be months before they could do the job, so I went with their competition. I want to support locally owned businesses but will not be supporting this one
