I had such a great time here at Katiebugs, I always want to go back. I met a friend here on a chilly fall morning to get cider and treats and to catch up. They have a nearby parking lot that is nice to use. I loved just getting to sit and chat with her in such a wonderfully decorated space. Put me in a great fall mood. The picnic tables were fun to sit at and take pictures. I loved the mini donuts I purchased, they were so good. The cider was piping hot which was perfect for the cold. You cannot go inside, so be prepared for any weather. We snagged some pumpkins for our front porches and then walked around the other nearby shops. Such a sweet time. I really wanted to go back on my birthday but they were closed on Tuesdays. Check their hours. I would love this to be a yearly tradition with my friend!
Katiebug's was a surprise find for me on my last day in OKC. I had stumbled upon a holiday market and followed my nose to the hot chocolate. Their list of marshmallows had me wanting every single one. I got their flavored hot chocolate with peppermint marshmallows. Absolutely what I wanted and needed that cold day. FYI, if you're lactose intolerant, their hot chocolate is pre-made with milk so there isn't a soy/almond milk alternative.
This local OKC business has a special place on our hearts now! A must visit and experience the hot chocolate with a homemade marshmallow and sweet eat treat... everything is spectacular. Quaint. Decorated. Charming. Clean. Sassy. Yummy.
It was my first trip to Katie Bugs. I heard about it from the USA Today article proclaiming it #2 in the 10 Best Cookie Stores in the United States. I got a pumpkin whoopie pie, a homemade Twix cookie, a cookies and cream cookie, and a dessert bar that a bunch of us split up to sample a bite of everything. It's amazing!!! We loved everything we tried! No matter what you get, it will be delicious. Here's the part that bothered me: there's no posted menu anywhere. It tells you to go online, but that's a list of what they sell, not the flavors. There's one menu taped to the counter at the pickup window, so the line is long because you can't plan your order. The other thing is that they offer NOTHING for people with mobility issues. There are several stairs up to the only window to order from and a plastic "dividing chain" on the stairs for line organization that is a fall hazard because it's not attached to anything. There's no indoor seating, so the elements are in play. It was the last day of September, and in the mid 90s. So sweaty! Elements include flying insects, so besides the garbage cans, the pumpkin patch is also a big draw for bugs. The days and hours are highly restrictive. Choose wisely!
We stopped by this place because we had heard GREAT things about it and MAN. We were NOT dissapointed. That marshmellow hot chocolate was delicious especially with it being chilly and the marshmellow tastes amazing as youre sipping it melts into your tongue. My only regret is not getting another one. We also got a 4 count of cookies, i cant remember the flavor names but they are pretty big for what you pay. I thinks its like $12 for the 4 count. I definetely recommend coming here. Only downside i could find is be prepared to wait in line for a good minute, this place gets packed!!
I stopped by Katie Bugs for their Christmas set up and it is so cute! There are many photo ops available. They are a small batch bakery and everything I've had has been delicious. Their hot chocolate and marshmallows are all homemade and their baked goods. The staff is friendly and is very helpful when it comes to any questions you may have.
Very cute and colorful little shop. My daughter and I was just walking by and so happen to see it. We ordered Katie's chocolate cake. It was so moist and delicious. Quick service and sitting areas available on a beautiful sunny afternoon!
Charming and darling bakery in central OKC! My mew favorite! Loved the teal blue building and cozy patio with Christmas trees and picnic tables. We visited on Small Business Saturday and snagged a goodie box with an assortment of 6 big, delicious cookies and bars. The cookies and cream was my absolute favorite!! We also picked up a couple bags of holiday popcorn (peppermint and cinnamon) packages just perfect for gifting! I can't wait to come back for a slice of their famous chocolate cake!!
Katiebug's has been such a bright spot of the pandemic. They've creatively adapted to the challenges of 2020 and have still found safe and creative ways to make festivity for their customers. From the Harry Potter drive-through birthday party to their front yard pumpkin patch, we've loved it all! Better yet, the treats are divine. So inventive and delicious. A particular shout out to their hot chocolate, which will enhance even the most frigid of days. (Even better when topped with a homemade marshmallow.) Be sure to follow them on Instagram, where they give updates on special events, daily treat menus, and fun behind-the-scenes glimpses into their craft.
This place was empty and quiet when we went around 6:45pm and I was shocked because it was so good! It really doesn't look like much on the outside - just a little house converted into a dessert cafe - but on the inside, it has a lot of character. Reminds you of a shop from a movie or show. Didn't know what to expect and what to get because there were so many choices. We decided to split the Oreo pie dessert and the white chocolate sprinkle cookie. The Oreo dessert was like a cold uncooked version of cheesecake and it was sooo delicious but light at the same time. I really loved every bite! If you love Oreos, you gotta try this one. I honestly felt like I could have had more and couldn't stop eating! We took the cookie to go and I just tried it when I got home. It tastes amazingggg and soooo soft even a day later ! Reminds me of cookies from other shops in my current city! So delicious and rich. Just need to grab a glass of milk and I'll be set.
I visited Katiebugs on a Wednesday afternoon, no line, it was yummy, everyone was friendly and telling me about the menu since I had never been there. My hot chocolate with a salted caramel marshmallow was delicious!!! I'll definitely be visiting again!!
We need to go back when the cold weather is in full swing to see whether the hot cocoa will be served hot. The shop was cute (from the outside at the walk-up window) and so festive. Both our cookies were fantastic I wanted to love my entire experience there but our hot cocoa was luke warm borderline cold. The girl taking the order seemed pleasant and friendly to the two couples in front of us and probably was feeling fed up and tired when it was our turn because she no longer was chatty and wasn't quite as pleasant to us. We're going back to test the waters again just to make sure I was not being a finicky cow.
I love this place so much! Their sweet treats are so fun and delicious! I am obsessed with the hot chocolate and marshmallows they have in the colder months!!! It's such a cute shop in a great area with decent parking! The shaved ice is great too! I love the variety of flavors and that they use natural ingredients! The items are a little expensive, but SO good!
I've wanted to visit Katiebug's for a good while. My husband and I finally decided to visit Saturday. We got there right about noon. There was already a line of 10 or so customers. Definitely arrive early to make sure you are able to get what you want! The pumpkin patch display was absolutely adorable. There were many different types and colors of pumpkins. It was fun to look at while waiting in the line to order. It only took about 15 minutes to make it through the line. We ordered vanilla and salted caramel marshmallows along with chocolate chip and Melissa's sweet and salty cookies. The cookies are very big and very soft! Our whole family loved them. The oyster crackers in the sweet and salty cookies were one of the best additions in a sweet I've had!The marshmallows are other worldly. They almost melted in my mouth. They also oddly enough weren't super sweet which I loved. I can't wait to go back and try other flavors and items. read more

Cookies, Cake Slices, Brownies, Brookies, Hot Chocolate, oh my... Katiebug's was on my To Eat List for years! Not just the cutest house turned bakery on the block, they make some of the tastiest baked goodies around. (And we all know I've tried my fair share. ) Their menu changes daily, and they always have some fun themed happenings, so make sure following them to stay up to date. Save this for the next time you're in OKC, and grab a sweet treat and seat on the patio. Pro Tip: Grab a sampler box to try it all! read more

The short review: Katiebugs is a dream. Try a chai tea latte (trust meeeee), ANY marshmallow, ANY hot chocolate, vanilla bean sno-cone, or the ginger peach tea! Also, Instagram may be the best place to check for any updates The long review: I've been seeking out Katiebugs since they were in a little trailer in Edmond. The location they moved to in automobile alley is adorable and so special. Katie, Melissa, and the rest of the bug family go out of their way to make sure you feel like family from the moment you walk in. I fell in love with their sips & sweets first but soon fell in love with the whole family! Katiebugs hosted my college graduation party, helped with my boyfriends Valentine's Day surprise by making a custom cake, and I will be sure they're around for all of my other life events. Katiebugs is welcoming, INCLUSIVE, and intentional with their business. read more

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. We took the curb side checkout option today due to the virus. First thing, very hard working, polite employees. I loved that they had the option available for curb side/drive thru. I ordered two drinks for my kiddos and a box of 6 baked goods. Those cookies did not disappoint!!! They are nice large, soft, chewy cookies. There was even a special treat for St. Patty's day. The oatmeal cream pie cookie and the Oreo cookie were the fan favorites. I can not wait to go back and try more. read more
Katiebugs brick and mortar location flaunts an innocent and whimsy vibe but don't let that keep you from thinking their wares are anything short of orgasmic. I can't get over the hot chocolate and their holiday marshmallows are unlike anything else on this planet I've experienced. If your only encounters with marshmallows are the Kraft Jet Puffed assortment around a campfire (and you liked them even a little), prepare to have your socks rocked right off by these delicacies. read more
The cutest place! They always go above and beyond with the cutest themes like this pumpkin patch. Their treats are always so delicious too. We highly recommend the Italian cream sodas! Absolutely delish! Can't go wrong with the frosted sugar cookie either! If you get lucky and can score the praline pecans...do it! read more

The absolute CUTEST place! Their autumn selections are my favorite. You will not find a more picturesque, Hallmark movie set, Gilmore Girls vibes place than Katiebug's pumpkin patch. Try the gingersnap cookie & cider. You won't regret it! read more

This is a cute little hot chocolate and coffee shop. Apparently they started out as a food truck and expanded. They are also a Mother / Daughter shop. The location is off Automobile Alley, in what might is a converted house. I ordered a "Dirty Santa" which is half hot chocolate and half coffee and perfect - not too sweet and not too plain. Then I ordered a n artisan marshmallows. They make organic marshmallows here, I. Flavors such as peppermint and eggnog. A friend ordered tea and a marshmallows and said it was good. They had some yummy looking cakes and cookies too. read more

This bakery is super cute and the treats are tasty! They are not currently taking custom cake orders due to COVID which is disappointing. They have a walk-up window and drive thru for COVID precautions. Follow their instagram for daily specials. read more
This place has a pleasant and calm outdoor seating and the place was full of trees and greenery. We stopped by to have a dessert and we took banana pudding and it was the best I ever had. The taste was great and it's not over sweetened atleast for me. read more

I can't believe I waited so long to come try the sweets at Katiebugs. Although I haven't tried everything, I definitely plan on it. I ended up ordering their chai latte but added a gingerbread marshmallow and it was soooo good! It wasn't extremely sweet but definitely felt like it was warming my soul. Loved the decorations that they have up right now. It is so festive and love everything about this cute spot in auto alley. read more

Quaint and basic spot that is family friendly and a great spot to stop for something sweet. They have cakes, cookies, lemonades, teas and coffees that all taste great . I love bringing people here from out of town it's an easy place to go to super casual. We got the Best cake ever which was a pretty accurate description it was an oreo and cream cake that definitely hit the spot. The cold brew was solid and just what we needed. I love coming here. read more

Whoa baby! Katiebug's sno cones make me one happy lady! They're pretty much sno cone heaven. Here's the skinny: You can spot them at cool events downtown in their retro teal and white camper. But if you've got a hankering for something sweet and there's not an H & 8th in site, what do you do? You find Katiebug's in downtown Edmond at #Katiebugstrailerpark. It's the hippest trailer park in OKC. It's got a courtyard-esque feeling decorated with twinkle lights, a white fence, cute patio furniture, and green Astroturf with yard games for the whole family--there's plenty to love. They have ice that's so finely shaven it tastes like the snow you ate as a kid before you were worried about eating pollutants. They make all their own flavorings with real ingredients (fruits, herbs, and the like with a bit of cane sugar) and they're DELICIOUS. Pick your favorite flavor, there's so many to chose from. Wondering what they have in store for fall and winter? Me too! So we found out they'll be serving up gourmet hot chocolate and chocolate fondue. They're making their OWN flavored marshmallows--no Kraft Jet-Puffed delights here. I've not had the pleasure yet, but will be sure to check them out as we head into fall. And if you were wondering my heaven on earth is flavored with lavender and vanilla topped with a homemade blackberry cream sauce and whipped cream. Ooohh weee it makes me so HAPPY! Tip: double check their hours of operation on Facebook before heading over. Enjoy! read more

Banana pudding, lemon bars, marshmallows, and chocolate milk = the recipe for the perfect dessert time! Got to visit their new shop in Automobile Alley, and was overjoyed! As soon as you walk in they have a massive menu behind the register with tons of options to curb your sweet tooth! They make gourmet marshmallows; we tried the peach! Delicious! read more
