I fell in love their work through various wedding blogs, and hired them to shoot our wedding that took place in August 2009. Dorothee shot our wedding and I can't believe how amazing out pictures are. Somehow she was able to be everywhere at once! My husband and I agreed that on the day of she was the perfect amount of "present" (guiding people, getting people together for group shots without being pushy, somehow always there the exact second I needed to talk to her) and "invisible" (she got a ton of great candid shots.) While she is only in Seattle part time, she still makes herself really available to answer questions, and is proactive about showing samples and figuring things out. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, but she's really sweet also. Just the sort of person you would want at your wedding. She has an abundance of great ideas, but is totally happy to take direction as far as what you're looking for in your photography. Krista rocked them both with true grace, creativity and professionalism. Krista has a superb eye for detail and knows how to frame her subjects from interesting perspectives. She is also hilarious to be around - which is a bonus. When I was in front of her lens Krista made me feel at ease and we basically had a giggle-fest during the shoot - which was great because I really don't like having my picture taken, but she made the process easy and fun and I felt like myself during the whole shoot. Krista is also awesome because she has great advice about how to sit or stand to look your best when being photographed. She brings out the best in her subjects - which was something I got to witness again when I had the pleasure of watching Krista work with our bride and groom models during our styled shoot. Krista is super organized, she writes a great blog, she is constantly learning and evolving her craft, she loves sparkles as much as (or possibly more) than I do, she understands the importance of sticking to a timeline, she takes amazing photographs, she is super responsive via phone, text, and email, and all around I can't say enough great things about this lady. We initially chose Jenny for our wedding photos because stylistically she leans towards more true-to-life/documentary photos. We wanted to capture all of the true memories of our day. So many of the other photographers referred to us were over-exposed and had weird dreamy vibes that just felt like the 1999 Xanga era. Jenny and Kelly captured so many great moments that were posed and candid. The photos were so beautiful and my wife and I are still having a hard time deciding which ones to make into a physical album. They listened to our wants and needs in terms of the types of photos we wanted to capture. We wanted to make sure we had very specific photos with our families, certain backdrops, and especially the candid photography of everyone laughing, dancing, and celebrating. Jenny's organization was top-notch and she really helped the day move along smoothly. We were so busy with all of our other logistics that it was a true weight off of our shoulders to have her experience shine in the way that she held the space and wrangled our gigantic families.
