When we were initially exploring options casually, Christine met us with patience, professionalism, and zero pressure. She truly followed our lead and gave us the space to think, while always prepared with thoughtful guidance when we needed it. As our plans evolved and we stepped into purchasing land to build, her expertise and initiative were invaluable. As buyers unfamiliar with the home construction process, she took time to educate us, as well as facilitated interviews with home builders. She helped us organize information and think through our options so we could make a decision with clarity and confidence. Because of her, we felt comfortable moving forward in what could have otherwise been an overwhelming process. When it was time to sell our existing home, she helped us mobilize quickly and strategically get it listed before the holidays. Her well-planned strategy and marketing efforts made a real difference - our house sold within just a few days. Beyond her knowledge and responsiveness, what really sets her apart is her kind, steady, collaborative nature - she is a true advocate for her clients. She listens carefully, anticipates your needs, and respects your priorities. Christine guided us through every step of the process (across three years!) and we are so glad to have worked with her. We recommend her to anyone looking for a sharp expert and trusted advisor.

In 2024, a close friend referred me to Karen to help in our home purchase in the DMV. Karen's knowledge and expertise showed from the very start. My wife and I knew immediately we has someone who was at the top of her profession. During this home search, we did look outside of Virginia (which is her area), but the frustration began to build and we picked up the phone and told Karen "we need you!" With that request, she again went at it! She has such an eye for the details! She sees and knows things we would have never considered in our home purchase process. She was never afraid to have us look past the "fluff" and see and feel the bones of what we were investing in. She was key to us buying the perfect home for all our needs (2 dogs, a inside/outside cat, and a 19 year old daughter needing her own space). But with Karen it doesn't stop there. Once you partner with Karen, she's someone you keep in that forever contact list. You become part of her circle. Her community. It's not "All about the Benjamins" with her. It was her network of contacts for the Loan; the moving company. She ensured it all happened as it should happen for us. Thank you Karen for doing what you do!

Unfortunately, the reality of working with her was far less positive. Many of the promises made early on were not fulfilled. We often had to do our own research to obtain key information necessary for decision-making and we never felt that she was consistently working in our best interests. Judy was not proactive; we had to repeatedly remind her about tasks she was responsible for and push for follow-ups that should have been handled without prompting. She was also forgetful and we frequently found ourselves having to restate the same points as if they had never been discussed before. Her recommended handyman who repainted our house, was unprofessional and careless. He damaged several items, including the bathtub diverter and a handrail and ruined our curtains. We ultimately had to pay for repairs to fix his mistakes. Moreover, he reacted defensively whenever problems with his work were pointed out. On a positive note, her plumber, from BST Mechanical, was professional, reliable, and did excellent work. Another disappointment was the lack of promised communication after closing. We had been told we would receive a follow-up call, but instead learned through the title company that the closing had been finalized. We had completed the e-sign process days earlier because we were out of state. We cannot say with certainty what influenced Judy's approach to us as clients. However, we cannot ignore the question of whether our treatment was shaped, consciously or unconsciously by factors such as our background or perceived circumstances. Whatever the reason, the overall experience was frustrating, stressful and deeply unsatisfying. We are simply relieved that it is over.

Her professionalism, expertise, and above all, her high integrity won my trust and gave me peace of mind. I had not purchased a home in several years, so the process was at times somewhat overwhelming and confusing. Despite this, she was always extremely patient in answering all of my questions; clearly explaining anything, even more than once, whenever I asked.  As a very busy mother of two teens with a demanding job, her diligence and reliability were invaluable to me. She sincerely looked out for my best interests and dedicated numerous hours and energy on my behalf. As a real estate agent, I am sure she had other clients who also had important needs and potential home purchases that would yield more commission for her than mine. But not for one second did I ever feel that I was not a priority or an inconvenience. She listened to me and understood my needs, which made me feel valued as a client.  If she is not already teaching classes on real estate and client engagement, she definitely should consider doing so, as she is the model that all in the profession should deem as the absolute gold standard.
