Where to start... i am a first time homebuyer and i don't know any single thing about real estate. I normally talk to my close friends about my goals and one of them is to buy a house. One of my friends asked me if I have a realtor (which I didn't have during that time) and she recommended christine to me. My extremely bad experience with Christine Nieva has resulted in personal attacks and targeted harassment. After leaving a review where I gave her a 5/5 in Responsiveness and a 4/5 in Expertise, but an overall lower score for a variety of factors, primarily - I felt Christine would not have my interests at heart during the process, and rather than the home selling for the 525,000 or lower she was preparing me for, the home sold for 585,000. In response to my review on Zillow where I speak nothing of her character, Christine has publicly resorted to personal attacks about mine, even gone so far as fabricating or exaggerating my mental health by making up information like - "mental disorders that have been such a burden to everyone around you". Additionally, there have been private threats like contacting my military superiors that take the matter past being personal, so I am writing this to provide context for people to consider. The experience itself: My ex wife and I consulted Christine during our divorce to sell the family home. Christine has a personal friendship with my ex wife, so I was hesitant to pursue her representation due to concerns about impartiality. We continued the consultation over the next few months until I truly felt her impartiality could be called into question (and was heavily advised from those around me to find a realtor who was not best friends with my ex wife). As it turns out, despite Christine's agreement to keep both parties equally aware of correspondence regarding the sale of the home, she has admitted to being on emails with my ex wife and her lawyer privately to get me to agree to something on their timeline -- which is exactly what I was concerned about and asked her to refrain from doing. All in all, I'm glad I trusted my gut and had people around me to speak some sense. I aimed to provide a truthful and accurate review of christine. I did not mention her character or get personal a single time. I led the initial review with "While Christine is a knowledgeable and responsive realtor, I did not have a positive experience with her as my agent when moving to sell my home." and closed with "The home recently closed for 785k, and while I can appreciate Christine's responsiveness, I would not recommend her." After all of this, I can't think of a worse experience I've had with someone I was looking to hire. read more
