Terminations (abortions) are only done on Fridays. There is only one doctor and she takes as many women as she can. This place is sometimes open until 1 to 2am. So this lady is doing surgery for sometimes 18 hours just to get as much money as she can. The procedure takes about 5-10 minutes but the wait is 6-12hours. After they do the initial paperwork, sonogram, and "counseling" you can leave and they call you to come back. When they call you back there is no room that you change into. It's literally a small waiting nook that has a bathroom. There are no gowns, just a thin drape that is used to wrap around you. Then you are sitting in a cheap chair with that thin drape. When it's your turn you are walking with that drape to the "operating room". The "operating room" is the same room as the "recovery room," just behind a door. That doesn't really matter because you can hear everything through the door. You can hear the other woman crying in pain. You can hear the tools being used. When you get into the room they have you get on this cheap table. There's literally only one hospital pad down. The nurse was really rude. I am allergic to the antibiotic that they use. instead of offering me an alternative all she said was, "oh I will just give you Ibuprofen." In the counseling session it explains that they give you an antibiotic to prevent infection before the procedure. I had to ask the nurse to give me an alternative. She was reluctant to do do. Tried to say she will give it to me afterwards. I chose the sedation option so I would have been a little out of it to even remember. So basically she was just trying to not give me penicillin (the alternative) so after I forced her to ask the doctor if it was okay, she gave me the pill. Then I had to ask her to hand me water to take it. The lady had no bedside manner. Then when the doctor came in she switched her manner and called me sweetie. The sedation makes you groggy, but you are still aware of your surroundings.This is a painful procedure. They say they numb you but it honestly feels like they skip it if you get sedation because it's literally so painful. They don't comfort you.They don't talk to you to let you know what they are doing. They just want you to sit still. The worst part is during this process they are laughing and talking about their personal lives while you're in agony. Then right after procedure without communicating with you they just move your legs from the stirrups to stand you up while you are still under sedation! They throw a pad in between your legs without any type of underwear to hold it up. You are just transferred with that thin drape on and that one pad into a bare geriatric chair. Then they roll you out of there into the "recovery room." An open area where you can see everyone and are barely 2 feet away. A nurse offers you ginger ale and pretzels. The ginger ale that is used is a 2 liter that is not refrigerated. They are pouring it in small little Dixie cups. The pretzels are from a bag. The water is tap. The nurse ask if you want a heating pad and a blanket. They are just taken off one and given to the next girl. The nurse goes around taking the blood pressure of whoever is in the room. She doesn't sanitize in between. She takes your bandages off and IVs without sanitizing in between. While you are recovering you can hear the next woman's procedure. Then within 30-45 minutes the nurse is trying to get you up to get dressed. I had to tell the nurse I was not comfortable walking because the sedation was not even worn off yet. When you are finally ready you are walked to a bathroom to change, which is not sanitized between each person. There is blood and other bodily fluids. People do have diseases! You are given one pad with your belongings. Woman are treated like an assembly line. It's very inhumane. WOMEN DESERVE BETTER!!!

And that unprofessional message with no follow up confirms the place has some inept staff members 7 months later -- I get a voice mail message from Empire that simply says "hello. Hello. Hello". Then a letter several days later saying they are changing my daughter's appointment. I left the practice personally years ago because they constantly changed appointments. My daughters both left because of treatment described in my earlier review. It would appear this is not a well organized practice as well as employing a WHNP who does not treat young patients with respect.

I went to my appointment, got asked a ton of personal questions just for them to tell me they do not have the "materials" to do my removal. I did my research. I called ahead. This place is NOT TRAUMA INFORMED. They do NOT allow you to make your own decisions and respect your body autonomy. I was told word for word "we don't like to do removals unless there is a plan for you to get on another birth control". Last I checked, I am allowed to make my own decisions. The next week, I went somewhere else to get my procedure done told them my experience and the doctors were repulsed by my experience. If other DOCTORS are upset at this experience, I don't know what else with convince you not to come here. Please don't go here unless you would like to leave violated.

He dismissed concerns throughout the call, treated us as if she were simply being hysterical, ultimately hanging up leaving my wife in tears. Rather than taking responsibility for the situation or offering support, Sullivan left us with the impression that he considered her unfit to be a mother, by requiring psychiatric sign-off for routine testing. He made our reproductive choice a matter of medical bureaucracy passing us around between other providers, effectively abandoning us. We initially considered continuing with other providers at Buffalo IVF, as other staff seemed competent and compassionate, and we requested to not work with him. On reflection, however, it is deeply troubling that a women's health clinic would tolerate such sexist behaviour from its staff, let alone owner. Reproductive care demands empathy, respect, and professionalism. Sadly, our experience at Buffalo IVF showed the opposite. We strongly urge others to seek care where patients' dignity is valued. Don't waste your time here.

Nothing, she said I needed to come in for a consultation at $250 just for the doctor to tell me the possible steps and prices. I understand that she is not medical (I worked many years a medical secretary) but how do you have absolutely no clue of anything. I called the other facility that my OBGYN gave and wow, night and day. They couldn't give me an exact plan or cost but they were able to give me an idea of what the cost and process was going to look like. The staff has been pleasant and friendly - from the front desk to the techs - I've really appreciated the level of care. Personally, I have been to other practices where you don't even get to have that type of conversation. You go in, you leave. Dr. Ball is a very personal, very nice person. She makes me confident in a lot of the advice she can give me about specific situations. I had recently got information from her about different birth control types. She is not only knowledgeable about them, but also is not hesitant to give you her personal advice about what she thinks is best for you. However, most every visit I have made here, I end up spending about 45min-1hr in the waiting room & the receptionist is the worst. They do have evening appointments which help tremendously. There are quite a number of doctors who do practice out of this location, so checking-in can even take a while. Understandable. These are my only qualms with this place. I have had great experiences here with the doctors directly--I hope you do too!

I haven't been seen by Doctor Diane but I have seen by PA Stacey a handful of times and I ended up seeking Hormone Replacement Therapy elsewhere because I wasn't getting it here. Every time I've expressed a concern, it is met with: 'Sign up for our weight loss classes!' or: 'Schedule some sessions with these med-spa machines!' I'm in my 40's, and I'm not an idiot. I know how to lose weight, but my hormones are diminishing and *that* is why calories in / calories out is not working. 'Move more, eat less' doesn't work after Perimenopause sets in. I don't need expensive med-spa machines to vibrate and contract my muscles for me, and I don't need Dieting 101 classes to tell me how to eat and exercise. I *need* these diminished hormones to be replaced so that my body can function optimally. I don't know how this office can be considered a 'menopause specialist' facility if they refuse to provide HRT for patients who are clearly experiencing hardcore Perimenopause and are lacking in progesterone, estrogen & testosterone.

What kind of make shift operation is this office running? I'm not even a new patient and they totally screwed up. They scheduled me for surgery with Dr Sutter on February 14. They tell me to go and get pre surgical testing and Clearence thru my primary. Then they call me and say no we'll try for February 21. So I go and get all this testing done. I do all this running around. Get picked with needles only for this office to call me late in the afternoon the day of my surgical pre testing after I already did everything to tell me that Dr Sutter isn't credentialed with my insurance. WHAT? You got to be kidding me. Oh my God. Who in their right mind does that to a patient that needs surgery? Please go elsewhere. Save yourself the aggravation and extremely poor excuses for the lack of a better word lack of professionalism and ethical integrity.. They have a zillion of excuses why they operate this office the way they do none of which that are beneficial to their patients. And just for the record I have 20 years as a PSR. Verifying a patients insurance is the first thing you do. And any PSR that's does his or her job well knows to check it every time and they copy the card
