Overall, the office staff was friendly, and the care I received was fine. I had a cleaning and a…read moremolar crown put in. The cleaning was as good as anywhere else. The crown was okay. Not super thrilled with the quality (after a few months, it still doesn't feel "natural" like some of the better crowns I've had), but functionally it gets the job done. My big gripe here is with their billing and their inability or willingness to hold themselves accountable for unacceptable billing practices. They gave me a "good faith estimate" on my crown that I paid up front, having already had all of my insurance information, but apparently quoted me as though I were in-network when they knew I was not (their words). I agreed to the work thinking it would cost around $900. (Paid in advance of service.) A few weeks after my crown, I got a bill for over $800. Turns out I was NOT in-network. When I discovered this and confronted the office manager with the information, I just received excuses: "it's not our fault you didn't know you were out-of-network", "we only gave you an estimate", "we made no mistakes", etc. Clearly mistakes were made. I was billed nearly double what they said it would cost when I agreed to the service and they refused to take any accountability. I would obviously have shopped around before agreeing to almost double that initial quote if I had known in advance it would be that expensive. After my initial discussion with the office manager, I was told she would call back about my proposed resolution. I've called back twice since, and have not been able to get ahold of her. This has ultimately led to me filing a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. Will update this review with a resolution.

From the moment I walked in, the front desk person was super helpful and very cheerful. I didn't have to wait long at all. I'm just sad I can't remember everyone's names. The hygienist was so very nice and really made me feel comfortable. I shake a little and she didn't make me feel weird about it at all. She had great conversations, which took my mind off being nervous and it helped so much. Also she was super knowledgeable and explained everything each step of the way in depth. I also really loved the doctor. He Just had an ease about him and explained everything with no judgement. And Answered all my questions. I even thought the girls as I was checking out were super friendly and seemed actually happy to be at their job. Nowadays that's very rare. Again overall awesome experience. I will absolutely be suggesting to others. Thank you guys!

I recently had to have an emergency procedure and expressed specific anxieties related to the procedure they said I needed, and I was offered no comfort, no explanation of what the dentist was doing when he was doing it, and my need to ask questions were met with frustration and apathy rather than clarity and compassion. The woman who helped me figure out my insurance ended up being the kindest person who spoke to me during that experience. This is sadly just the most recent experience among many others. If you have any dental anxiety, want your questions answered clearly, or struggle to find a nonjudgmental & compassionate dentist, steer clear of this dentist.

Saw Dr.Scott (is a dentist a doctor? maybe, idk they say so, let's not get in the academia conversation here of what degree makes you what) So, Dr.Scott was great (he has great teeth too), went in for a few fillings, and he was like Yanni playing 6 keyboards. He has been doing this shit for a min! Some may say he's quick cause he wanna see more people in the day, and maybe that's right. But im ok with having someone in and out of my mouth QUICKLY! They care about how you feel physically and communicate your diagnosis in a way that doesn't make you feel judged. And let me tell you - I earned some judgement for avoiding the dentist as long as I have! Dr. Jay specifically - he takes the time to explain what's going on while referring to your xrays and photos. He's focused on your treatment plan and speaks in a way that voids any possible shame you might have felt in any doctors office. My 18 year old college student recently called me from her dorm literally crying in pain saying her jaw hurt. We got in with our dentist same day and were referred to Endodontic Associates as it appeared a nerve died in a tooth that had a cavity filled a few years back. They got us in within 25 minutes, diagnosed her, and to my great surprise offered to do the root canal the same day. My daughter came out of the procedure saying that it went smoothly and she had no pain or discomfort throughout. She reiterated how friendly, caring and nice Dr. Sparrow and his staff were. He explained everything and even drew a diagram to show my daughter exactly what to expect prior to getting started. She woke this morning to no pain and was back to her typical self. Thank you for getting my girl out of pain so quickly. Every single person I've encountered at this office was friendly, knowledgeable, diligent, courteous, and helpful. From reception, billing, assistants, nurses and doctors...amazing every step! We are so grateful:)
