I ordered my daughter's birthday cake from Kate last week and was incredibly disappointed. The cake was delivered with the Barbie fondant sign already falling off. Despite a careful handoff between cars with the AC on full blast, cake not tilting in the car, the damage worsened because it hadn't been fixed before delivery. What made it worse was the customer service; Kate blamed us and claimed we could "easily just fix it" ourselves. Because she didn't address it beforehand, the sign fell farther, damaging other parts below it. Besides the stress of knowing we had to fix the cake, we had to take time away from my daughter's party to work on it before serving it. She promised a credit and never gave it to me. I had spent a good majority of my morning looking for bakeries in the area that could bake a cake for me. This being my first time EVER in my life ordering a cake, I was running into a lot of issues. One of the main issues being that I needed a cake... THAT day... (: I stumbled across katefections after calling a few other bakeries who'd all turned me away due to the short time frame and/ or not having a pre-made cake that fit what i needed. SO I spoke with a sweet man on the phone (didn't catch his name) and at first he chuckled with me at the fact that I was calling for a cake on such short notice (lesson learned now but i totally get how silly i am for that lol). LONG STORY SHORT: They were INSANELY sweet and accommodating to help me. At first they even stayed on the phone with me suggested a bakery that I might have luck in, but then Kate got me on speaker and starting asking what kind of cake I'd like. She agreed to make it for me and deliver it herself and omg. I usually don't take time out to write reviews on yelp but this business is just so sweet. After she had mentioned that she'd be delivering it as well, I had asked if she'd rather have it picked up (bc of the short notice, I didn't want to put her out of her way), but she let me know that's her favorite part and she loves the reaction. 10/10. Loved the service and everyone I spoke to was amazing.
