In 2020 I was also diagnosed with cancer and that was the proverbial kick in the backside I needed to begin my journey. After seeing a colleague and then my daughter lose collectively lose over 200 pounds in a relatively short period of time I asked them what the secret was and given Dr Heuer's phone number and scheduled an appointment. Dr Heuer guided and advised me on what I was doing wrong and gave me a world of knowledge on how to properly eat and what not to eat .My bloodwork showed I was headed for fatty liver and diabetes after five months with Dr Heuer and a follow up with my primary Dr my weight loss was over 60 lbs!!!!!! Currently my weight is now 218 lbs after losing over 82 lbs. I could not have done this without Rockland Medical weight loss and Dr Heuer it was done by changing my attitude and educating me on what I was doing wrong in my diet ...This all was done without surgery medicines or anything radical. I emailed them and no one responded. 2.5 hours later I called back and the rude receptionist answered saying Bryant left a message yesterday to change the appt, which he didn't. The receptionist was rude and condescending. Then had the nerve SING BYEEEE, like it's a joke. They are playing with peoples well being at this house of horrors. I wouldn't let them walk my dog. If you have a receptionist like this, you can't possibly care about your patients. Stay away

I had her check my insurance twice because my insurance said they were in network after she checked it the first time and told me they weren't included as in network provider. She then proceeded to go into this whole thing about how she relayed this information to me on 4 different dates which was completely unnecessary and actually inaccurate. I had her check twice we did talk about it more than once, considering they never answer the phone and she returned one of my voicemails not realizing I had already previously called. Why would a therapy business have such a rude, receptionist? -No idea. Horrible! Honestly she can't be that busy being a receptionist at a psychotherapy clinic. And being annoyed about me having her check my benefits twice because I was told they are in network for sure by my insurance, not my fault. Did she even check them again or accurately probably not. So over it!

I went to her home office in Nyack. It is a bit awkward if you are early as there is no place to wait. The woman who had the appointment after me sat on the corner. I didn't jive with Dr. McNeil, but that is just me. A therapist is a pretty individual experience and people should find people they are happy with. I just felt that she didn't understand where I was coming from. She also wanted to talk about religious/spiritual things which did not appeal to me.
