Waste of $100 overall. Shirts here cost $40-$45 US. You can add tons of customization to your shirts including stitching your initials to the sleeves, inner collar with different color, different types of buttons, make untucked button up shirts. Seriously for $40 sign me up. I have tried Sam's Tailor (meh seriously horrible, only brand name becuase tons of US presidents and soccer stars have been here), L&K tailors (also bad but had a good price at the time) but Jantzen seems to do a pretty solid job. Currently have 22 shirts from them.

I had several shirts I wanted copied in different colors because I liked the style. He said that they used Thomas Mason fabric and since I was only going to wear these shirts occasionally, he recommended to go to Shamshuipo to the fabric market for less expensive fabric and they will make the shirt for me at a cheaper price. As a bargain shopper, that made me so happy! How many proprietors would suggest that?! Well I did that and I also used their in store fabric and have been happy with my shirts. Ornald is a very busy guy so be prepared to wait a bit or better yet, make an appointment to see him. He intended to just get a suit but they were able to get the suit ready for a fitting and adjustments were made in time for us to not only take the suit but also a blazer with us. Sharry helped him with his deciding on his suit and Moon helped with the blazer. They were also friendly to me and my mom and Moon was nice enough to give us some space while my son was deciding on whether he would get the blazer. The quality of the material is high end and the details and fit of the final products are befitting the reputation Apsley intends to maintain. The experience was pleasurable, they have a customer for life!

He provided good input on the latest styles of suits, and it was clear he had been doing this for awhile and took pride in his craft. We were a little nervous about how it would turn out since we were only in Hong Kong for a couple of days, and would only be available for the initial measurement (no follow-up fittings). When the suits were finally completed, he was more than pleased with the outcome. The suits fit great and for $150.00 USD per suit, totally worth it. But not sure who is making the suits now. The suit came a bit tight and was curvy shaped on the waste unlike the ones before. Didnt accept it and had them redo it. Overseas, once your selection and measurements are confirmed, it's usually 5-6 weeks before it is sent to your home address. I was in Hong Kong (Kowloon) for less than a week, so it appeared to me to be impossible to get myself a handmade suit in that time. But lo and behold in Hong Kong it only took four days. And the price was hundreds of dollars less than in London. After a fussy fitting and a cup of tea I was in business. I chose a light grey single breasted pleated and cuffed classic suit, that smacked of a Caucasian colonialist in a hot and humid country; though I didn't realize it at the time. All I knew was that four days later I had a perfectly fitted handmade suit that lasted me for ten years. I only wish that I had bought six.

My husband was the one ordering the suit and we entered for an initial consultation. Discussed fabrics and style. Measured allllllll over. First fitting of suit was the next day. Few adjustments. Return to pick up suit for final fitting. WOWWWWWW what a fit. Perfect! Very happy with the suit and service. Oh and the scottish short-eared cat was adorable. This tailor also tours the states and will be coming to the Short Hills mall in May. Who knew????
