I was fitted on a tuesday afternoon and the suits were ready for fitting #2 in a couple days. When I came back for the fitting the suits fit perfectly and they told me I could alter them however I wanted to. But they were sized perfectly and i didnt need to make any alterations. I am very particular about my clothing and Larry Rashmi and his family are very particular about doing excellent work and satisfying their customers. Look no further, you have found the best. As I walked through Tsim Sha Tsui, I was hassled and hustled by nearly a dozen different hawkers, trying to get me into their shops. "One day! Three Suits!" "Custom shirt for you!", but I knew better. No one can make a decent suit in that short a time. I brought my own fabrics from around the globe to Larry. He was able to work with some of them but not all. He made no excuses, but simply showed my wife and I why certain fabrics would not be appropriate for certain clothing pieces. He was very polite and had a wonderful sense of humor, all the while remaining extremely professional. We were in Hong Kong for two weeks. After our initial consultation and choosing some of Rashmi Custom Tailors fabrics to compliment my own, Larry called me back a few times to check for proper fit. I consider this important attention to detail. This made the shirts, vest and pasts fit perfectly. Then, Larry was very patient with me. He measured twice and cut once. The results are exquisite. I had a vest and pants made of pink corduroy and several custom shirts. All fit perfectly. I would only recommend Rashmi Custom Tailors to my friends and colleagues. I have been wearing my custom clothing ever since I left Hong Kong and I love it!

Waste of $100 overall. Shirts here cost $40-$45 US. You can add tons of customization to your shirts including stitching your initials to the sleeves, inner collar with different color, different types of buttons, make untucked button up shirts. Seriously for $40 sign me up. I have tried Sam's Tailor (meh seriously horrible, only brand name becuase tons of US presidents and soccer stars have been here), L&K tailors (also bad but had a good price at the time) but Jantzen seems to do a pretty solid job. Currently have 22 shirts from them.

I've come to that age in life where all my friends are starting to get married. It's like the opposite of the movie Wedding Crashers, where they have fun crashing weddings the day wedding season starts. I, on the other hand, feel the pressure of being in a relationship and unmarried. What I meant to say was I'm so happy for my friends... yea. Anyway, wedding season means suits, and a couple of them. Maybe it's just me but I'm never comfortable with people trying to sell me something, even if I want it! So being asked to enter every second tailor I pass makes me suspicious. I was going to enter, but then you asked me to enter and said you'd give me a discount. Oh boy, that makes me suspicious. I'm going to get a suit, but only from some one that doesn't want to sell it to me. The human psyche at its most moronic. Maybe it's just me. Luckily enough, while I was still a student, I happened to meet a lovely young lady whose family runs a tailoring shop. She never asked me to visit, or offered a discount which made me extremely eager to see the place. Remy Fashions is a small shop run by a man named Gary. He's obviously good at what he does because he sized me up the moment I stepped in the door. With an easy smile and measuring tape he confirmed my dimensions, and from there explained to me the different materials available, which ones for which climates, why I should have two buttons instead of three. Fashion things that I had no clue about. Two days later I returned for the first fitting. Gary wasn't there but his son was. The man was just as professional but slightly more convincing when it came to fashion tips, I suppose because his age was not far from mine! Another two days and I was able to pick up the final master piece, for a master piece it was, and still is. It's easy to feel like a VIP while being measured from head to toe for a suit that will only look good on you and Remy Fashions do it with precision and perfection. Since then I've returned to have another suit made... for another wedding... not mine.

All top quality, great fabrics and accurate in perfect fit. Obviously there are lots of tailors in Hong Kong. We think Charlie Chang is top notch, local and a good business man. He also speaks English.

Unless you are perfectly average, or like me buy your clothes two sizes too big to feel thin, you…read morewill probably need at some point to have your clothes altered or repaired. There are many places in HK to this done, but I still make the special journey to the Superb Art Tailor in the Harbour Centre in Wan Chai, to have my clothes altered and fixed, due to the excellent handiwork of the seamstress. For guys, it's a bit more difficult to know when to go to your tailor and when to go to your seamstress (first world problem I know!). However, my advice is always to go to your seamstress first, as they are often equally skilled and a lot cheaper. My experiences here have mostly been good. For simple things like taking in a shirt, or shortening trousers, they will charge around HKD100, and have the item ready in a couple of days. The manager of the store is pleasant enough, and speaks pretty good English. If you want anything much more complicated, then it can become tricky. Another thing they are particularly good at is copying clothing. Say you have a pair of trousers that you really like, but can no longer get, if you supply the material, they will make and identical pair for you - same cut and everything. Actually, so accurately do they copy, that I once took in a coat that needed to be relined (it had torn), and they refitted all the tags and brand badges but with the original errors in them (the originals were wonky and they mimicked this!). My only gripe, and this is to do with copying, is their pricing. I went to have a waistcoat copied, and got a quote of a few hundred dollars. I then went to buy the material. When I returned to have the waistcoat made, they knew I was fast approaching a deadline and needed it in a hurry, so they added a few hundred more, "because it was more difficult", "the material I bought was different" (it wasn't), and a number of other silly excuses. I had to get them to make it as they had already started and had my original. I just didn't like being taken advantage of, so agree a price and stick to it, don't bow to it like me!
