Snarky, rude and poor customer care…read more There is a sales woman with brown long hair and light eyes who was unapologetically rude and ruined her own sale. My husband was carefully replacing a few socks that my daughter (3yo) had disturbed from their place on display. The saleswoman started to wave her hand frustratedly in my daughter's direction, while repeating "could she NOT! Could she NOT!" Lady, she's 3! And it was being refolded and replaced. I hope the owner knows that I walked OUT. I was planning on spending several hundreds of dollars but, because of that poor attitude, why would I support a brand that hires staff like that?!? When my husband told the woman that this was unacceptable and he was replacing the items to their original place and folding them, she proceeded to tell him to "get a grip sir!" Staff training on customer care is lacking and should immediately be addressed!

In fact, the person couldn't even be bothered to look up or get up. Lots of over priced stuff. But we were on a weekend get away and buying up art and items for our apartment in Manhattan. Those chairs are very valuable!" It was quite off putting, especially because my husband was literally looking at her with no interest in the furniture, no food or drinks in her hands, not acting rambunctiously, just sitting on a, again, not-cordoned-off chair. No signs that say, "do not touch", "do not sit", or anything. I'm pretty sure if I sat there, it would've been fine and I'm 4 times her weight. After telling off my kid, he went back to ignoring us by the register, not looking up from whatever he was reading. I lost interest in the cases, accessories, and furniture. Dogs on leashes were in the store (no complaint from me; love me some doggoes) and no one was chasing after them to not touch the furniture. Whatever bad experiences they've had with other children is no excuse to embarrass my child or make her feel like she did anything wrong, and yes, the tone clearly made her feel that way despite us cooly, and quietly leaving.

The owner gave me a heads up about the new men's location at 610 Warren -- she also gave killer recommendations for places to eat in the area. The men's location was a blast to browse. A small but well-curated selection of CDG, Yohji, Issey Miyake, Gucci -- and even newer stuff from Noah. The owner there (they're a husband-wife duo) was super charming and friendly. Highly recommended for any menswear / streetwear / vintage fashion heads!

This is a very special boutique. I checked it out this weekend for the first time because the…read morewindow displays caught my eye. It's the hippest, baddest shop on Warren Street. That sweet tie dye dress in the window? MINE! There was also a super cool leather woven bag in the window, too. Maybe next time. Melinda (I hope I got her name right?) the owner is dripping with style and great taste. She looks like a fashion designer. Good news: you too can look like Melinda, because her racks are filled with tons of dresses, tops, pants and skirts...natural fabrics and so pretty. She also has eye wear...like REALLY COOL eye wear. Awesome home wares, too. And I bought a super special candle that will always bring me back to Hudson when I light it. Smells like fancy pine. Also! Everything in there feels fancy, but it's affordable. Looking forward to seeing what she has for me next time.
