(I've actually never been asked to leave my bag at the front and the staff have always been incredibly helpful.) Fast forward and I'm now wearing gorgeous silk blouses with really sophisticated patterns. My finds from White Rice keep me looking much more stylish than I really am, from color palette to cuts that really flatter my very ordinary shape. These are clothes that I would ordinarily either pine for at ABC Home for 3X the price or buy and have tailored in my travels-- such a treat to have them in Hudson NY! I generally stick to their label, handmade in Indonesia, but I've bought pants and a couple of dresses from the other designers they carry too; I think they do a great job of curating their selection.

The clothes are fashionable and in really good condition, so the caliber is closer to that of a nice consignment store. What's different is that the prices are GREAT and, this store is a force for good. The owner donates a portion of proceeds to a range of important causes and also has a beautiful "mitzvah" board where you can donate a few dollars to a future customer dealing with something difficult, and/ or also doing something good and the donation will make their day. This is going to be our go-to spot for donating and shopping in the Hudson Valley. Enjoy!

I might have visited 2 or vintage stores before but by far this is the best one I've walked into. It's two floors of cute vintage items including clothing. Prices here are a little more than the usual vintage but that's because they have so much value. I definitely recommend the visit if staying in hunter. There's cute shops and restaurants along the strip as well
