I got a vintage Coach purse, and an authentic vintage crocodile purse here, both for $40 dollars because of a 2 for 1 deal they were having! I also bought a beautiful brass necklass and gorgeous blue silk top for about $10 each. On top of clothing/jewelry, there is also some furniture and a lot of home decor items. I will definitely return next time I find myself in town again. Also, FYI- if you consign items with Abby, she offers a 50/50 split on the sale, which is a great deal compared to many consignment shops. They have a great assortment of home goods and I scored some vintage CUTCO cutlery at excellent prices. They also have cool vintage clothes and just the typical antique store randomness. The stand out here is their amazing staff. I got to the location just a little before opening and they still greeted me and let me come in a bit early. Also one man, I believe maybe the owner, was super nice chatting with me about local history and recommended additional resources to explore the history of North Adams at the local library and historical association. They have pieces dating back to the 40's (and maybe even earlier than that). We were able to find an awesome pair of military fatigues, two perfect fitting Levi's and a couple of really cool genuine military and vintage over-shirts. The owner of the shop was so helpful in pulling pieces for me to try on, especially after telling her I don't love trying on denim. The two pairs of pants she passed me were the ones I ended up buying. Overall 12/10 experience. The ambiance of the shop is great, customer service is A+ and we really enjoyed our time here. That said, the Re-Collector has picked up a few gems so if you're a hard core collector, you'll likely spend a little time flipping through the bins. There's some CDs, DVDs, cassettes, and even a shelf of 8-tracks, and then a bunch of completely randomized tschotschkes. While I'm a sucker for this sort of thing usually we haven't found anything interesting on repeated visits. The music and vibe can be interesting or annoying, which goes double for the Re-Collector himself; he seems to be a bit moody. The store's pretty cramped, too, so go in with your claustrophobia under control and I recommend not taking any bags in, either. Worth a buzz-by if you like random odd used stuff stores, but not a can't miss one-of-those-things IMHO.
