This small purple building is packed to the gills with second-hand clothing. And I mean literally packed. In some parts of the store, it's almost maze-like. The selection totally runs the gamut, from old jeans to lightly used children's clothes to crazy vintage pieces. On a trip there this past weekend, one friend found vintage Vivienne Westwood wedge sandals in great shape for $20. I found a fun little black dress for $10 and a pair of jeans for $6. Another friend found an awesome white tuxedo jacket with tails for $80, which he passed on in favor of the black sequined suit jacket for $20. Most of the prices are pretty fair. They're higher than, say, Salvation Army, but much cheaper than the vast majority of so-called vintage stores. You can also find a wide assortment of things like wigs, belts and VHS cassettes. The owner is an adorable little woman who's just as friendly as can be.

Melinda (I hope I got her name right?) the owner is dripping with style and great taste. She looks like a fashion designer. Good news: you too can look like Melinda, because her racks are filled with tons of dresses, tops, pants and skirts...natural fabrics and so pretty. She also has eye wear...like REALLY COOL eye wear. I've found the most elegant outfits for weddings. They DO have designer clothes. They tend to be pricer, but they have sales periodically and you can step in some diamond dust. This is a non profit. Wonderful kind people with excellent taste donate items here with love. Usually the local loyal patrons drop off nice items they no longer need. The boutique truly is a special place. I have consciously chosen to donate mint condition beautiful items instead of selling them, because I love this store and what it offers to humans and animals. You actually support cats and dogs buy shopping here. Their sister store in Lenox is great too. I have a special place in my heart for Catwalk in Great Barrington. I love the women who work there. They're some of the kindest warmest authentic women I've ever met. I always feel better walking out of Catwalk! I used to buy the majority of my wardrobe there, but then I moved. The boutique has such a great vibe and wonderful fantastic finds, that I used to stop by almost every week, even if I didn't have to find anything specific. Often times I'd buy something I didn't need at that moment, like something fancy, but then I'd have an occasion to wear it later. I swear Catwalk has an auspicious crystal occasion ball. The women there remind me of a crew of beautiful animal loving fairy godmothers who help unknown Cinderellas prepare for future "balls" and possible "Prince Charmings."
