Although those days are long gone, and many of the stores that made it "premium" are no longer here, it's better than most. There are still some good deals. It's also fairly large so you'll spend a decent amount of time walking through every section. We're usually shopping for something specific -- today it's jeans for the husband. But we always end up with more than planned. :) We browsed through many of the stores, spending much of our time at Lucky Brand, Levi's, Lululemon, adidas, The North Face and Ralph Lauren. We got the best deal on jeans at Levi's and surprisingly found a nice lightweight sweater for him at Lululemon. We like to grab a light snack or drink treat while we shop. Wetzel's Pretzels is a favorite but today we discovered that Boba Time has joined the outlets! Overall, it was a really nice day. I realized when we left that I missed going to Pottery Barn! We'll need to start on that side next time.

And yes, I checked the outlet website before I left for hours and it appeared that both stores were active and open. When I arrived, Joes was simply gone. I went over to the kiosk map to check and it was still listed in its usual location. But it had been replaced by another store, Reformation, I believe. An employee of the outlets walked by and said I looked confused and told me the map hadn't been updated in a minute. Disappointed, I then went over to Seven, which was also gone! Replaced by Fabletics, I think. The point is that Joes and Seven are still listed on the outlet website and they are still listed in the on-site kiosks as active stores. Not only am I disappointed that a few of my favorite stores are just gone like that, but I'm especially disappointed at the glaring lack of communication that lead to an entire afternoon being wasted. The outlets otherwise appear to be going down hill. I don't think I'll be back after this.

I received the number for a Saks credit card account. When I tried to tell the salesperson this, she said I must have dialed wrong. So, I put it on speakerphone and dialed the number again in front of her. When it connected to the same credit card company again, she was just dismissive and said, "Well, you have to email." (I went home and sent two emails, posted on their social media page, and finally found a real corporate phone number, and nobody cares, nor wants to be helpful. There is no resolution at all for this, just $90 wasted). As I was leaving, the salesperson in a very nasty, condescending tone said, "Have a nice day," and when I turned around, I asked her what her name was, as she wasn't wearing a name tag. She told me she didn't have to give me her name. I guess she wanted to dish out rudeness, but didn't want to pay the consequences for it, and from the reaction I've seen from Saks, they don't give a care in the world how rude their associates are, or how their customers are treated, so she's probably right, there won't be consequences. I am on my feet for 12 hours a day for work with heavy lifting, and as I'm breaking them in now I'm thanking Edward with every step my happy little feet are taking. He sold me on the Asics Gel Cumulus 18 shoes and while hot pink is not my absolute favorite color, the clouds (aka the shoes) I'm walking on outweighs that small detail. Breaking them in has been painless, and so comfortable!!! Second note, they didn't have my size in the store (literally the only size they didnt have, their stock is still good!) so I patiently waited about 5 business days for them to arrive at my doorstep but it was so worth it!!!! These are my second pair of work shoes I've bought from Edward because he really knows his stuff. He's a long distance runner with decades of experience and if you're in need of some professional guidance on running shoes, whatever your endeavors may be, Edward will help you find the right shoes for your step!

Do they always have something we want? No. But sometimes the do and other times they help us get a sense of what to look out for at the other shops. It's a great place to at least dip your toes in first. Staff is fine. They're often only around when you seek them out. They're not trying to avoid helping, but the store is often bare bones so the staff need to be busy operating the registers and other things vs roaming around looking to help customers. Prices are great though. So if you find something you like, don't hesitate to pick them up. Chances are you either won't find the same thing in the area or, if you do, for the same price.
