A true connection between children and what's remains of Florida's farm animals. Green Meadows…read morePetting Farm has been an iconic institution for Florida's children over the years. Unfortunately, for most of us who know it was closed ,but it has now reopen at this new location. The new green meadow petting Farm is better than ever updated and supported by Osceola County. They are currently working every day to update it and to bring more attractions and more animals to continue the connection for the next generation.. our recent visit there indicates this very creed that brought us to them many decades ago. I will not elaborate the numerous emotions a parent may have watching their child touch a chicken or learn about a cow or other farm implements and machinery in a safe, clean, environment , but rather tell you go take your child and experience it for yourself. Admission is reasonable, especially for the various things that you could do there with your family any given day of the week. Parking is ample and spaces are wide, not only for your car, but for your children running in their meadows under a clear sky.. Thank you, Green Meadow Farms, especially to your staff for continuing to have the same great attitude ,even after all these years. We will continue to support you through the next generation..

We visited Green Meadows on a Sunday morning. It was not crowded. Entry was $18 for ages 2 and…read moreover, a head of lettuce to feed the animals is $6 and pony rides were $5. We fed the animals, rode a pony, played in the corn pit and on the playground as well as took a tractor ride. We saw pigs, donkeys, alpacas, and our favorite the bunnies. We were able to do everything we wanted to do in under 2 hours. There are a few photo ops. All employees we encountered were pleasant. We all enjoyed it but I felt it was expensive.

LunaSea Alpaca Farm is a heartwarming animal encounter experience. Located in Clermont, Florida, 25…read moremiles west of Orlando, guided tours around the grounds are 90 minutes long with plenty of chances to interact and feed alpacas for just $20 a person. The owner of the farm, Mr. King, leads the tours imparting valuable insights into alpaca life and what roles alpacas play being part of the camelid species. The tour begins with brief introductions while attendees feed the farm's chickens. Next, the tour enters a fenced in enclosure and guests form a circle. The juvenile alpacas are familiar with these procedures and eagerly approach and eat from the palms of your hands. Another worthwhile moment is having visitors being introduced to an adult llama. Mr. King starts with a quick demonstration and then all participants take turns mouth-to-mouth feeding the llama. It feels rewarding accepting playful nibbles from such a docile animal. One of the better highlights is having the opportunity to hug a baby alpaca. It's a great way to end the encounter on such an uplifting note. Overall, LunaSea Alpaca Farm is a charming interactive experience where visitors become better acquainted with alpacas. Tours are highly engaging and can make for lasting memories.

Super cute, local, alpaca farm that hosts tour, painting sessions and yoga with alpacas!…read more We saw an advertisement on Instagram for painting with Alpacas and thought it would be a fun weekend outing. Painting session was $50 and includes all your paint, brushes, design, treats to feed the alpacas and 1 non-alcoholic beverage. Start time was 10:30am on a Sunday and you start off with a basic outline of an alpaca extra station. Then the instructor takes you through how to fill in the background and the llama and give you pointers along the way. They have you paint your background first before they allow the alpaca to come in and wander around, which is great planning as the minute the alpacas were introduced into the area. The painting was occurring in everybody was distracted by all the cuteness. You are welcome to get up throughout the session to interact with alpacas and give them treats, which was great because I found myself drawing inspiration from some of their coloring to incorporate into my painting. We had an excellent time and definitely look forward to going back for some of the seasonal events in totality, the entire session was roughly about two hours
