We were hit with an Aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and everything looked nice and organized. They had a section with toys and we looked through the toys and eventually moved to the back where the kids section was. It was immaculately out together and they had some really great books on display! My son was so intrigued by all the different options and grabbed a few books to read for a bit. I just loved the organization and the cute decorations. It was hard to leave when we finally did, but we'll def be back to this location!

I purchased a brand new book for an Investment Planning course I took recently which was published…read moreby the American College. The book was approximately $160 for a brand new copy of the the textbook. On yesterday when I returned the book to recoup part of the cost, I was insulted when they told me that I would only receive $6 from their buy back program. This American College publication book was a problematic purchase at every level. It was not only hard to comprehend by most students in my class, but to then be told I would only receive about 4% of the cost of this required text just added to my personal insult. I have sold several books back to this store and have had to deal with the personnel there. Do not expect a high level of competency or professionalism from the personnel there. I will not be buying from them again. Use another resource please. Amazon can usually deliver in 2 days if you need a hard copy of a textbook​.

I recently joined a book club and they have monthly meetings here. Actually, Troubadour hosts a bunch of book clubs so you should check that out. You can check their website and also sign up for their newsletter to get all the info. The bookstore is clean, bright, friendly, and well organized. I don't find many bookstores that have a horror section so I was glad to see they had one. Service is great and the selection of overall items is good too. Big plus for having good parking!

What a gem and on the East side of Charlotte!…read more This independent bookstore offers a wealth of books, speciality gift items, cards, seating and a cozy children's nook. Price points were fair and seemed to have something for anyone. We will definitely be making this our number one bookstore. The manager was knowledgeable and personable. He was also friendly and obviously enjoys books. I was able to find a unique gift for a friend. I look forward to receiving emails about coming events the Troubadour will be offering our community.

Since I don't know that many comic book fans in Charlotte, it's always nice to have another comic…read morebook store just to browse and chat with the owner. I like asking different people how they feel about new series coming out. The store's comics are well organized and it's easy to stroll around the new release shelves. They have some pretty magnificent figurines and large scale sculptures as well. I'm not a gamer but it looks like they host gaming as well from the large table in the back.

It's become a disappointing spot in the Charlotte thrift circuit.
