The potatoes could have been more crisp, but that is probably just my opinion. I did not have their more fancy menu, since you can get similar stuff in Copenhagen; it was the schnitzel that was on the menu for me, because apparently no restaurant in Copenhagen really excel in this. Actually we also got some snacks and bubbles to start with, and they were very tasteful (unfortunately they might have forgotten to serve one snack, as I overheard the other table finish the snacks with a potato croquettes or something, but I might be mistaken).

The old city hall is offcause situated central i Roskilde right by Stændertorvet and Roskilde Domkirke. It's a beautiful but very busy place. They serve dishes typical for most Danish main stream restaurants. Especially the pariserbøf (no English translation) is worth trying. Pariserbøf is open sandwich with fried steak tartare. Try some of the good beers from Herslev Bryghus. It's a great brewery. I can't give the last 5th star because of the quality of the bread. Such a place should do better. Especially the rye bread wasn't good. The service was also a bit slow, even though it wasn't a busy day.
