Very unfriendly and rude! Not accommodating! I made an appointment to have the solar gel removed and get a manicure. The woman insisted that I had the powder acrylic nails! Even after I answered the same question very politely 4 times. She was basically calling me a liar. I left and took my business some place that appreciated it. The only reason I'm giving it a 3 instead of a 1 is because my nail technician, Erica, was awesome! I went in the day earlier (Tuesday after lunch) as a walk-in and they said the had no availability for a regular pedicure. I made an appointment for the next day and arrived right on time. I had to wait THIRTY minutes for my appointment. I didn't even get to sit in an empty chair with a foot soak. They just let me sit in the little waiting area and never said a single thing. No apology, no we will be with you soon, nothing. Erica did a fabulous job though. She gave a wonderful pedicure, great conversation, and all around nice gal. read more

This establishment was absolutely wonderful! I made an appointment, and they had me soaking within a minute. They did a pedicure on me and a full set on my sister. Everyone was super nice and very talented. I would highly recommend. Just MAKE SURE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I stopped in to have a fill in, but apparently they are by appointment only. I was willing to come back tomorrow with a appointment, but they want to charge $35-$40 for a fill in?!?! I can get a whole new set for that! No ty! I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This salon was Clean and sanitary. We went because it was close to where we were vacationing. Only 2 technicians so you can't just walk in. We made appointments and came back the next day. Friendly but within hours polish was peeling and smudged even after sitting under dryer for almost 20mins. I would try another salon next time. read more

Told him twice not to change the shape of my nails, just smooth them out and fill in a spot, showed him the three repairs I wanted and he changed the shape and Clearcoat painted over one repair I wanted, completely ignored the other two repairs I wanted done... NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! Second day of having my nails done and my thumb nail broke, and the next day my index finger did too! I should of known when she was having trouble getting the nail to even stick on my nails like her glue wasn't actual glue or something!! I took my twin daughters, and the three of us got mani/pedi's. We went in one day, which was too busy, and they did not have space for all 3 of us. We were impressed that they offered us an appointment the next day, before opening, to accommodate the three of us together. The shop is under new management, and is very nice, clean, and well run. Very friendly owners, and family run. They completely renovated the entire shop, and purchased new pedicure chairs, which were wonderful. We had a great experience all the way around. New and alone in town for a new job. This was close to where I work so I thought I'd give it a try. I went in at 6 p.m. 2/4/2020, and Annie the owner was forceful that I needed an appointment. I said sure I'll come back tomorrow, and told her I needed to get the SNS off my hands as my nail stylist back home has breast cancer, and my nails had gotten too long, and that I needed a pedicure and gel manicure. Annie, the owner, she preceded to help me remove the SNS as her appointment hadn't shown up. She started to carve my nails off with another acrylic nail. I said - no, no that'll hurt - I can wait till tomorrow if she's was in that big of hurry. She then wrapped my nails to soak them. Then she offered an eye wax and I said, "Sure but I don't want to hold you up any longer". She did a good job on the wax and came back to me and got the SNS off my nails. I was charged $20 for an eyebrow wax and removal of SNS, which I thought was a little high, but I was new to the salon. I tipped her $5. I returned for my appointment today, 2/5/2020 and I was a little late. I asked if she just wanted to do my feet or my nails - I could come back the next night and get the other done. She said "No, she stayed until 8 p.m. for another customer the night before". She began to do my nails, we discussed acrylic vs gel. She asked what color I'd like - I told her "a pearl color but no glitter or sparkles." Next thing I know I'm being moved to the pedicure chair were her daughter worked on my feet while Annie applied the gel manicure to my hands. So instead of having a relaxing pedicure or manicure, I'm getting a gel manicure in a pedicure chair, while a pedicure is being done. Annie puts on a few coats and I realize the color is white glitter! I said, "can we take this off and I'll come back tomorrow night, and we can do my hands then - as it was close to their closing time." Then a lot of Vietnamese is spoken between Annie and her daughter, Annie has now left me and is working on the walk in. Which was fine as I don't like having my nails done while a pedicure is being done at the same time! Her daughter did a good job and then applied a different color for a gel manicure. When I am rung up, I am charged $90.00 - Annie charged me $10-$20 to remove the wrong color she put on ONE hand! She blamed it on me claiming she asked me if the color was ok throughout the time, she was applying it! She did not and I couldn't tell, as I was sitting in the pedicure chair, I was being forced to have a NON-RELAXING PEDICURE and had gel application to my left hand with the dryer sitting on the side of the chair being RUSHED! I was asked to put my hand in the dryer after each "application for 60 seconds. I barely saw my nails! I said, "No I said I wanted a pearl color with no glitter or sparkle". In total I paid $130 for SNS removal, an eyebrow wax, a pedicure and a gel manicure. I did NOT tip the 2nd trip, although the daughter did a good job, but I was not about to give Annie a cent more as I was being taken advantage of - thoroughly! I will not return and will encourage my co works and others to read the reviews on here thoroughly - as the negative ones are true. I feel taken advantage of in a new town where I am alone. read more

I scheduled an appointment with them over the phone with the correct number. They forgot to write my name down and there were only two others in there, not too busy. They said they weren't able to do a gel manicure at the time of my appointment. I'd recommend calling twice before you show up for your presumed "appointment". read more

I've been here twice and have personally had great experiences both times. I went for pedicures. The woman did an excellent and thorough job and my nail polish lasted for weeks without chipping or wearing off at all. She was very kind and gentle as well. I know for a fact the tools she used were sterile because she kept them in the liquid when she wasn't using them. And for only $25, it was well worth it. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I didn't particularly care for this nail salon. First off, they weren't the friendliest people They weren't outright mean, but a tad on the aloof side. I can't quite put my finger on it; all I know is that they just weren't welcoming. The other thing that bothered me was, I couldn't tell if the instruments they used were sterilized or not. This salon is relatively new at the time of this posting, I've only noticed it in this location for about the past 4 months but I'll tell you one thing, the chairs aren't new. They were ripped and torn, so maybe these people picked up and moved from another location. I ended up paying 25.00 bucks for a pedicure and didn't develop a fungal infection. Most likely, I wont be returning unless I'm absolutely desperate for pedicure and they are the last salon on earth. read more

One of the worst Salons I've visited. Very unpleasant staff. Went in here on day at noon for a mani pedi and gel nail removal and left with only the gel nail removal because they didn't have any openings till the next day. For a new store, there was lots a dust around, cobwebs in the corners, and just a generally depressing quite environment with no smiling and no customer service whatsoever. Definitely won't be going back. A complete waste. read more

I am ABSOLUTELY in love with this salon ! They do the absolute best job on my nails as possible, and My boyfriend even gets pedicures here, he got one here for the first time and now we go back every 2 weeks and he gets a pedicure and I get either a full set, or a fill. The people are very easy to understand, especially the man . (And obviously the woman from America). These people are so welcoming when you walk in to the salon and greet you with a, "hello, how are you?", Or, "What can I help you with today" and Since I've been going here for a while, I get discounts ! If you're not rude to them, they're not rude to you ! Their utensils are ALWAYS clean, and they always do a tremendous job of keeping the areas clean ! Their work is neat and tidy, and I've never ever had to complain about them hurting me ! The salon is amazing and I currently suggest this salon to people who want the best kind of customer service. The man, that does my nails, is always conversing with me so that we're not just sitting in awkward silence! When i got a full set here at halloween last year first of the square tips were crooked and wavy. They left the acrylic product set on my skin which is not good for you. they failed to clean their filings out from under my nail and when i asked for a spider web design they couldn't do one. it looked like the astrict on this keyboard with circles around it. So I walked in there today and there is one lady being worked on by two nail techs and I'm like sweet! They're not busy so I can get my nails done! Seriously I've tried coming in here 3 time already and there is always a wait of at least 2 hours. So the guy come up to me and asks what he can do for me. I state I would like to have a manicure and pedicure done. He makes this groan and says there is no one available for another 3 hours. At this point I'm looking around the shop at the one customer and I'm thinking to myself how is this even possible? Every single time I come in here there is a wait and the one time I've had my nails done her they have chipped in 3 days. Kara nails, y'all either need to hire more staff or you're going to lose customers. No one should have to wait for each individual to get their nails done. You have two nail techs at least both of y'all need to do work, that's what you're paid for. read more

I use KARA NAILS all the time. When you are nice, smile and act like a human being, they return the attitude. I have never had a problem with them even though I don't speak their language. I lived in northern VA for 30 so I am accustomed to nail shoppes all over the area... Kara Nails is a good shop..cleanliness is important. They are kind and willing and I have seen them put up, silently, with a lot of women whose manners and demeanor are clearly in need of, shall we say, "help." The speaks volumes to me. When I walked in the door my first impression was that it was a very unhappy atomsphere. The chairs are quite old, you can tell by the tears in them. Overall, it was dirty. The man who did my nails did NOT pay attention. He would constantly look up at the TV during my fullset and caused me to bleed serveral times. I booked an appointment ahead of time as sort of a second chance for them. Regretful seeing as I had to wait an extremely long time. The woman and man just seemed "blank" constantly. This wouldn't have been a problem if they actually provided satisfactory customer service. I will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone or returning anytime soon. read more

I like them. They have taken good care of me, taking time to make things right with my nails. I had a fungus and they cleared it up. They have been very positive.
