Fast forward to three weeks before my wedding and I start to have second thoughts. I decide that I'm going to give it one last go- if I find someone that's within my budget that produces a high quality video and they're available, I'm going to do it. This is where this fantastic business comes in. They were available on a holiday weekend, reasonably priced, and their end product is amazing! To be honest, I was so satisfied with my 5 minute highlight video that I would have paid them their fee just for that alone. AND they were such a pleasure to work with! I can't say enough good things about Joe, George, and the customer service they provided! So responsive and accommodating. Absolutely one of the best vendors hands down. Would use them again in a heartbeat. If you're considering them, feel free to send me a message and I'll link you to our video. This is very uncharacteristic of me, but this is how serious I am about how good these guys are.

We originally weren't going to have videography because I thought I wasn't going to be able to afford it with our budget. We had attended a local bridal show, where we signed up for a raffle with Wedding Tales and we won! Naturally, I had to take them up on their offer and I made the investment to include videography in our wedding budget. And I'm so happy I did! They were prompt with their email communication through out the planning process and were so nice to work with! The day of the event, there were professional and captured everything that we wanted them to! Our DVD's that we received were of the highest quality and came with our entire ceremony and an awesome highlight reel of our big day! I am so happy that we ended up investing in videography because it really does tell a story and shows real emotion that pictures can't always capture. If you are hesitant because of budget restraints to include videography in your wedding, trust me... do it! This company is affordable and offers a high quality service that you would expect from someone who charges way more! I think it's one of the best investments you'll make in choosing your wedding vendors! And Wedding Tales is perfect team to get the job done! Thank you Wedding Tales for giving us memories that we can look back on for years to come!

Satisfied that he had all 5-star reviews, I moved on to his website and easily liked all of the pictures in his portfolio from surf shots to weddings to maternity sessions. So, being sensitive to the small business owner, I decided to contact him directly and arrange for a session so that he didn't have to work for pennies giving Groupon a huge cut of an already discounted price. Michael seemed to appreciate the consideration and promised a quick turnaround (under a week!). We had our session only days after I contacted him, and we instantly liked him. We found Michael to be very down to earth, easygoing, and patient. He shared some good ideas for pictures, was very open to any of our ideas, and even as the session ended, made sure there weren't any last shots we wanted. He promised us pictures within the week and said that he would be happy to edit any of them for more light, color, black & white, etc. As promised, we received our pictures within the week. We were really impressed with the sunset lighting/landscape he was able to capture. I've posted a few of our pictures for you to judge for yourself, but we'll definitely be contacting Michael again! Affordable, nice and great pics - what more could you ask for?

We're from LA but were getting married in San Diego so I didn't know who we should hire for such an important day. I ended up finding out about Michael on Yelp and saw that others highly recommended him and after viewing his website, I could see why. Him and his assistant photographer were very prompt, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Michael made it a point to check in with me periodically during my wedding planning to make sure we were always on the same page. We also received our photos within a reasonable timeframe. I would recommend him to anyone who's looking for a photographer, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Jerry gave me the best headshot anybody could have asked for... free of charge at the time since he…read morewas an up and coming photographer and needed some modeling done for free (not that I can claim that I am a male model at all...) and to this date- they were the best photos I have ever received from any photographer, including the latest one on my LinkedIn from another photographer that I personally had to edit even after their edits since it was still not perfectly and meticulously done. This would have never happened with Jerry Chen, no sir, Jerry himself is a perfectionist in the most beautiful and appreciated of ways as he will not return your photos until he is personally proud of them himself. With most photographers, they usually have a style- something that you can tell is their panache. And Jerry's is that of class and just really... true to frame, to be honest. I think he really captures the essence of the shoot, without forcing you to be fake or telling you/directing you to do something that isn't natural. When we did our shoot on the top of Del Mar heights hiking trail near the beach, we had a blast while folks were walking around us staring at the young Jerry Chen directing a posse of 3 kids holding reflectors and light meters trying to find the optimal angle to capture the surrounding area's beauty while allowing the essence of what he wanted that shoot (for an adventure/outdoor campaign) to still not be lost in the shot. What came out has been three photos that I absolutely love and adore and is actually framed (by him, kindly- free of charge in a beautiful wooden frame) and hung up at my house to this date. It has been several years but it still stands to a testament to how well this young gentleman (Jerry Chen) has now fully blossomed to this professional photographer and meticulous photo-editor. I can readily say I am glad to have been able to get him to shoot for me and would not hesitate to hand off my recommendation to friends and family, which I have, and can say I would want him at my wedding as the photographer as there is nobody else I know that would provide his stylistic perfectionism in the manner appropriately befitting of a professional in this field. Another thing (amongst the many I cannot fit on this- otherwise I would sound like the ramblings of a senior describing his young grandson) about Jerry Chen would be that he brings so much energy and liveliness to the shoot. At the time, I was nervous about the shots, being out in public in the wind- with my rambunctious long hair at the time, Bruce Lee-hair they called it, that I just could not focus on the shoot or the right poses... instead, Jerry called out the shots and took many numerous photos to settle with the few that made it post-editing and produced pieces of art that I loved. Jerry's more than your average photographer. He's your friend and the person to really bring out your personality professionally in the shoot. I don't think there are many photographers out there that provide this level of personality and again, it adds to his character. All in all? Go with Jerry- you won't regret it.

We pretty much put full faith in our wedding planner, and in the end it paid off. We directly worked with Brandon, Vu, and Vincent. All three were fun and easy to work with. If you notice anything about my reviews, I'm all about the people and customer service aspect. I think quality is a must and a second thought as when I'm hiring a professional, I'm only considering those who do a good job. Right? I think think about the bigger picture of having a true professional and that's why I chose Gaby and Brandon. I had the final say for my best friends wedding. The thing I like about them is that they're so down to earth, chill but experience. They're not dating, they're married so they know the craziness of big families, planning and know how big of a role they have on the day. When I spoke to them, they asked me questions instead of just trying to pitch me the entire time which I really enjoyed. They also gave all these great tips from their personal experience. So fast forward to the wedding day. It freaken rained! My friend was crying non-stop and hear comes Gaby to really make her feel better from one woman to another and one former bride to another. I can't tell you how much that helped. Brandon worked with the guys and kept things going. I have to say, this is why you hire a professional. Brandon was great too and is actually trained and certified video editor so it's not some random people doing video on your wedding day. The video came out great and I have to say, these guys were great! I know I been bashing a lot of the people on my reviews lately who haven't met the expectations but when it comes to people who make it happen and are able to adjust to any crazy day, I have to give credit where it's due. Thanks Gaby and Brandon!
