Please understand that I don't know much about other similar providers, but I will share my thoughts about the care provided for my two children over the years. When we needed braces for our son, the name we were given was Dr. Kemp. He is the definition of local legend, and he's earned those accolades the hard way: He created a superior practice and provides amazing care for patients and family alike. Dr. Hall is the other heavy hitter in the office. Impressive in all ways, working with skill and compassion. If you're like me, environment plays a huge role in experience. Their office is spotless, smartly decorated, and inviting. More importantly, the office staff provides exceptional customer care. You lnow you're in good hands with this team, which speaks to the quality and thought given to hiring practices. Finally, and most importantly, I can boil down my experiences here to one word: Trust. I whole-heartedly entrust my children's care in this field to Arlington Orthodontics and Dentistry. Whether you call them 4 times to reschedule or walk in they always greet you the same, with kindness and with warmth. Nicole is one of my favorites at the front desk. All the ortho docs are insanely awesome, there simply is no better place. All the staff also is great at what they do. My teeth had moved and I had to seek treatment with the new practice. Timing and service went as well as could be expected during Covid restrictions. However, as I had my final visit I questioned the slight overbite that resulted, which I'd not had before. The response I got from Dr Nakfoor was cocky and condescending, asking if I'd rather have had the gap in my teeth. An honest practitioner would have approached me differently from the start, knowing that an adult could handle an explanation that favored the lesser of the two evils. At least I'd have been prepared for the eventual outcome. Word to the wise, seek a well-recommended small practice to use and not one based on an overinflated ego.

Dr. Tom Meyer has been my dentist for many many years and his father before that. This is the…read moredental practice where you can go in, get your teeth cleaned or a cavity filled and actually fall asleep in the dental chair. I know because I've done it. They are that gentle. Dr. Tom seems to have the latest dental technology that can really help catch cavities early. He has a new x-ray machine that makes x-rays a lot more comfortable than those old bite wings. Another technology he has used that really benefited me was the ability to avoid using a crown in certain situations. A few years ago, I had a cavity in a tooth right next to where I previously had a silver filling from long ago. He really needed to drill a lot to get the filling out and to repair that new cavity. This is the type of thing that normally he would need to use a crown. However Dr. Tom explained to me that he had a machine where he could essentially make a 3d puzzle piece for the hole and put it in if I had a little extra time. We could do it in one visit instead of two and it was actually less expensive than a traditional crown. I agreed and have had no issues with his solution. I went in yesterday for a cavity repair and received exactly the same treatment as in the past. I didn't even feel the needle with the numbing medicine. They use a topical to make you comfortable. The staff also make sure to tell you what to expect before they do it. Everyone is friendly and genuinely interested in you and your dental health. They are located near Wolf Circle and very close to a bus and train station. There is ample street and lot parking near the office.

They would charge me extra every month. one visit was almost close to 500 It was outrageous. They promised Saturday appointment, switch locations, and Discount on my first visit. All failed to do so. When I went for my last appointment. I payed around 400 for permanent retainers. They told me no Need for my upper retainer. My teeth are back to gaps. I don't recommend at all. 5000+ down the drain. They expect children to be pulled out of class for routine appointments. They're only open every other Saturday, and those slots fill so fast they're basically unusable. The practice is completely unaccommodating and has an arrogant attitude about it. To make matters worse, both of my kids were told they'd have braces for about a year, and in both cases treatment lasted nearly twice as long. Either they're very bad at estimating timelines or they're not being honest up front--neither is acceptable. It also feels like unnecessary adjustments are made just to undo them at the next visit. My dentist was surprised by how uneven my daughter's teeth still are. Overall, this place feels difficult, poorly managed, and questionable. Not recommended.

My first impressions were very good. Kind staff, good with kids, they talk you through their…read moredecisions; however, when my child needed extensive work, I listened to their plan, in the moment trusted the Dr., agreed to treatment, paid a deposit. As I sat with it I grew concerned because the treatment plan included sedation. Expensive and risky. I asked for the X-rays which they sent, but I also requested the plan be written up with a rationale and any other possible options. I'm not a medical professional and do not understand everything thrown at me in the office. There was a follow up phone call where the staff proceeded to tell me verbally the plan. I explained it was intensive and costly and I don't understand so I would like it written up and may seek a second option to make sure this was the right path. I was told they welcomed a second option but that my $1000 deposit was non refundable. I found this really disconcerting. I understand the need of a deposit but when there is genuine concern and you have to make decisions on the spot, I also think making it no refundable with prior notice is poor customer service which I expressed to them. They then sent me an email telling me "our professional bond had been broken". Very concerning for a parent looking to be more informed in making medical decisions for their child. First I felt pressured to agree, then I felt vilified for asking questions.

She's been seeing therapists for years to help her with anxiety and she's come a long way, but when she still has anxiety / panic attacks. Well that's what happened at this dentistry when she had to get a couple cavities filled. Despite giving her nitrous oxide and trying different methods in calming her down, the poor thing was shaking and in tears. I asked the doctor if there's anything else that she could think of to get my daughter to undergo the procedure. Her suggestion: tying my child's entire body down to the chair. Yea, hard pass lady. This person should not be around kids. She should have her license revoked for even suggesting the idea. We wont be coming back here.
