Dr. John Anson - Truly Changed My Life…read more There really are no words that can fully express how thankful I am for Dr. John Anson and his entire staff. For the past four years, I lived with extreme pain in my legs. There were times when I could barely walk. I felt helpless. Simple things that many people take for granted--standing, walking, cooking a meal for my family, and just being able to live my everyday life--became incredibly difficult. The pain wasn't only physical. Living with it for so long became mentally and emotionally exhausting as well. I began to feel like I had lost a part of myself and the life I used to have. On July 27, 2026, I had an L4-L5 laminectomy performed by Dr. John Anson. From the moment I met him, there was something about the way he looked at me and listened to me that made me feel like he understood exactly what was wrong and exactly what needed to be done. I trusted him, and I am so incredibly thankful that I did. Today, I feel like I have my life back. I honestly cannot put the entire experience into words. For me, it was almost a spiritual moment--something I will never forget. After four years of pain, being able to feel this kind of relief and hope again is overwhelming in the best possible way. I have zero complaints. Dr. Anson was absolutely amazing, and so was every member of his staff who cared for me. From the moment I was in their hands, I felt cared for and supported. I also want to thank everyone at Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, who was part of my care. You helped make one of the most important moments of my life a positive one. Dr. John Anson, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for giving me hope again. Thank you for helping me get my independence back. And most of all, thank you for giving me the chance to live my life again. God broke the mold when He made you, Dr. John Anson. I truly believe you were given a gift, and I will be forever grateful that God put you in my path when I needed you most. After four long years, I finally feel like me again. Forever grateful. We thought we had finally gotten the medical attention she would need, in an attempt to lessen the horrific pain she has been experiencing. So, with an appointment scheduled for the morning, it was switched to the afternoon because the doctor would not be available. However, when we arrived at the office, more than fifteen (15) patients were waiting to be seen by the same doctor. Some had already been waiting for over an hour. Our appointment was at 2:30 and after waiting almost an hour, it was learned that the doctor had not even arrived at the office yet. Many others started to leave, as well as us seeing how my wife's excruciating pain was starting to return. Dr. James S. Forage has no respect for his patients, their time, and the pain that some may be experiencing. It is unacceptable that any physician feels that their time is more important than anyone else's time, but Dr. James S. Forage fails even worse in his professionalism and regard for patients. You would be advised to avoid this practice!

Unlike the ysual "elective TKR surgery" as usual? I've never in my 30+ years of extensive Medical knowledge & experience seen a Surgeon of any Specialty....just freeze up on me, just because of the vast knowledge of the actual Minimally invasive Surgical procedure itself, (aside from other things?) He actually, said to me, "You talk like you know more than me?" Really now? How can a surgeon say that.. or feel that, unless they are feeling threatened or intimidated by knowledge? It was very disappointing. As I went throughout the whole weekend in deep thought, and decided to get a 2nd opinion from there. As he did not agree to do the TKR Surgery specifically, as it is medically necessary for me? And it all comes down to the Money. Shame on you, putting Money before your patient's lives! (I see that more & more in this Healthcare System.) People, use your own dicernment, and read between the lines. He didn't even go over over the X-Rays in front of me, or even discuss my condition? As if he thinks this is by Telepathy? It really left me perplexed! So, without discussing my personal Medical information, and all the extensive Medical knowledge I have? I can clearly say, "Go elsewhere fast" He will make you feel so small and insignificant, humiliate you in some way, & just take full control of your choices!! So, John is writing this review:…read more I first met Dr. Seiff when I was in the ER at Saint Rose Hospital in January of 2023 due to unrelenting pain in my lower back. I learned I had spondylolisthesis! I had been under the care of a chiropractor due to my lower back pain, but this was so incredibly paralyzing pain, I needed a wheelchair. The outstanding part of my history is that Dr. Seiff carefully and thoughtfully explained I needed PLIF posterior lumbar interbody fusion of my S1 to L5 vertebrae. Following the surgery and six weeks of PT, I returned to my active lifestyle! Fast forward to the summer of 2025 I was invited by my brother-in-law and nephew to quad ride in the back country of Southern Utah. Unfortunately, at 62 and a history of degenerative disc disease, I should have declined the offer. Well to make a long story short, it took a few months and the use of a cane and my stubbornness before I made an appointment to see Dr. Seiff again. I suffered a herniated disc of my L4, which required another emergency surgery, because I also had the onset of Cauda Equina Syndrome! That had a nightmarish sound to it! So, on October 8, 2025 I had another PLIF and I am the proud owner of new titanium rods, screws and a new bone graph for my L4 this time. In conclusion, I am profoundly thankful that Dr. Seiff has put my lumbar spine back together twice! I love this man for his professionalism and dedication to me and understanding the importance of returning to a healthy lifestyle! However, I will now act my age and forever avoid long back country quad rides, no more downhill skiing, and other over the top activities that might compromise my spine again. Finally, I am especially thankful to Dr. Seiff because I have returned to being able to play with my six grandchildren! Thank you Dr. Seiff! He is truly a wonderful man

He quickly diagnosed my problem and scheduled my surgery. My pre-admission in Southern Hill Hospital was very informational. I learned for the new division of robotic surgery under Dr. Polestra. He is one of the best medical orthopedic surgeon and recognized by his peers in Las Vegas. On the day of the surgery I was visited by a team of surgeons lead by Dr. Polestra. The surgery continued for 5 and half hours, through out this time Dr. Polestra performed the surgery and he took time to inform every two hours my family for outcome of the surgical procedure. The surgery was successful. My hospital stay was short but Dr. Poletra visited me every day and was concerned for my health . From my medical staff I have learned Dr. Polestra is the best and well recognized both national and international surgeon, specializing in spinal and robotic surgery. After I was discharged from the hospital Dr. Polestra continued to monitor my recovery. On Sunday a had swollen feet and I called at midnight on the hot line. At 2 am same night Dr. Polestra personally called me back with medical advise. On the next day he called me back to check for my health. I have begun my recovery with physical therapy and exercise allowing me to start walking again with help from Dr. Polestra. I would like to thank the whole surgical team who were involved in my surgery for there professionalisim which give me a chance to walk again. Also I like to thank the medical personnel working with Dr. Polestra who do excellent job for carrying for my well being. For the fist time of my life I experienced the highest level of medical treatment. Again I thank Dr. Postra for medical and human devotion and for his patients.

I saw her on Wednesday and my surgery was scheduled for Thursday! No need to remain in pain. I looked up my procedure online (word to the wise...don't do this...lots of scary information!) and almost cancelled...people wrote about how they were still having pain, bleeding, and other issues 2,3, 6 weeks and as long as 6 months after the surgery. I had some pain once I got home from surgery (outpatient, 1hour surgery), but nothing extreme. By Friday, I was feeling fine...no pain and just groggy-ish due to anesthesia. I even only had traces of blood in my urine immediately after surgery and not again. I had lithotripsy, where she went ureter with laser and blasted the stone in my ureter. I actually felt well enough to attend a casual event Friday event. I had a second surgery (ESWL) yesterday afternoon-again, an hour long outpatient procedure. It has only been about 12 hours since I was discharged and this surgery also seems to have been a success, with easy recovery. I'm already feeling ack to good...no pain or soreness at all. I had this procedure done 12 years with a different doctor in town and I needed about 2 ads to recover and had lots of bruising and soreness. Dr. Larsen is a very competent doctor and surgeon. She is very thorough and explains the issues in detail during your office visits and when she checks in with you just before surgery. I do not recall my former urologist doing that. I would highly recommend Dr. Larsen to anyone looking for a urologist. Side note...her nurse was also wonderful. I had to deal with FMLA paperwork (FYI...they only charge $15 to complete ALL FMLA papers...there's not a per paper fee...very nice!) and her nurse was friendly and helpful, even when my employer kept requesting more papers.

When I made the appointment I told them I would need to be helped in and they said it would not be a problem. I got there and called the office to let them know I was in the parking lot. They said they would be down ASAP. Twenty minutes later they brought it out. Now that would have been fine, except when they finally got me in to see the receptionist she said I was too late as there is a 15 minute grace period and I was beyond that time limit. I tried to explain I was waiting for the wheelchair, but it was a waste of time. I was kicked out of the office after waiting 3 months for my appointment. The receptionist said I should have gotten there a half hour before my appointment time. Maybe that bit of information might have been shared when I made the arrangements for the wheelchair in the first place. When I finally got to see the Dr. 2 weeks later, I was shocked at how rude she was. Apparently, I am too big for her. Like I had any say as to being 6' 6" tall, and after 17 months on 30Mg./day Prednisone steroids, 400 Lbs. Which I explained when I made the original appointment so there were no surprises there. I wish I could have posted a negative 5 star rating.
